1/1/2026: My aunt and I went to see Song Sung Blue which was a fabulous movie, but we were less than impressed with the theater. We had to change from our regular theater since they were sold out, so we went down the road to Edwards. The area is a little sketchy, and I am not a fan of large entertainment areas. Too many ports of entry for things to go wrong quickly. We went in during daylight, but exited into night time. They have a ton of security presence in the parking lot and a police officer standing in the lobby of the theater, but as much as that makes me feel more secure, you have to wonder why it is so heavily needed. Prices are prices when it comes to theaters. No big report on that portion. The lobby was fairly clean. They have an arcade for the kiddos and young at heart. They have several lines to serve concessions. First issue discovered WAY too late. My aunt and I both got our own individual popcorn. We both used the butter topping from 2 different spouts. We both noticed a weird taste when eating our popcorn. It was like the butter was tainted. Neither of us ate even 1/4 of our bags. If wasn't overpowering, nor did it have a smell, but it was noticeable and disappointing. A movie without movie theater popcorn is not the same. No way the popcorn could be saved. Secondly, the chairs do not recline with a foot rest. We were in theater #9. The chairs go back like a desk chair does. The tension has to be kept or it will spring back into regular position. I love a reclining chair. Lastly, the Regal logo on both sides of the theater wall has a glossy finish and each change in the screen picture throughout the WHOLE movie reflected in the logo. Look at the logo I videoed during the credits. Can you imagine the glare through the whole movie??! It was very distracting. The popcorn can be fixed, the chairs can be fixed, the logo glare can be fixed, but they can't fix the area of town. For this reason, I am out, as a shark on SHARK TANK!

I really enjoy going to this particular Regal location for movies, it's always been a great experience. It's especially a solid choice for late-night showings. The facility has consistently been clean, and I've never run into any issues, which makes it a reliable spot to catch a film.

RPX seats does NOT reclined. And the theater is so empty.

My partner and I went Regal to see 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple for RPX experience. We initially booked our tickets at 12PM on a Sunday, but my girlfriend received a refund on her card for the movie tickets? No cancellation emails, just a refund. We tried calling and no one ever picked up. We went and checked online and the movie was removed for that time slot. Very weird way of handling the situation. We rebooked for a 3:55PM on that same Sunday. We got there at 3:50PM and the movie didn't start until 4:15PM. So 20 minutes previews period - HEAVILY ON PRODUCT ADS instead of MOVIE PROMOTIONS. We saw at least 5-7 Pepsi ads. The seats are extremely hard to reclined back, my back was hurting feeling like I have to force myself to lean back to have the chair reclined. I know for a fact it's Not children friendly. NO feet rest so you're sitting there for 2 hours straight almost like you're on an airplane seat. The RPX experience is just chair vibrating for every loud jumpscare, but it didn't stay consistent throughout the movie - like the first 15 minutes of the movie, every jumpscare is the chair vibrating, after that, it's calm and nothing. 2 stars because the movie was great, colorful and very loud sound.

Came to see Zootopia 2 with my friend! We did the VIP tickets (my typical go to for this location) and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! They did a great job on the renovation it's always clean and the staff are very nice. I love the unlimited popcorn and icee option of the VIP tickets and the seating! Highly recommend this Regal location

Thanks to FONS PR for inviting me to attend the advance screening for 'materialist', I had a great time. My friend & I received a complimentary drink with our ticket. We both chose "match made in heaven" which was super sweet but good. The room was pretty small for how many people were invited BUT luckily me and my friend got seats together. Although it was packed -- I enjoyed the vip experience and thought it was a good movie.

A nice theater where standard seats have back reclining but no footrest. Concession lines get very long for popular movie days (like a new movie release + discount Tuesday). They have an alcohol bar and their arcade is open now. The lobby actually looks pretty cool with all of the renovations! There's tons of parking in the MarQ but you'll have to walk a bit if you go during busy hours. I do recommend bringing a jacket because some theaters can get a bit chilly.

The last time I been to this movie theater was to watch Black Adam in the D-Box seats. At that time, the whole lobby area was under construction. So it was nice to see how new everything was. They added in a full bar and a game room. The concessions are expensive! Hubby and I both had the choose 2 combo that comes with a large drink and that was almost $70! I had the hot dog and nachos and hubby had nachos and popcorn. The hot dog was your average hot dog. I didn't like that the cheese for the nachos was not warm. Cold cheese and chips is ehhh. The IMAX theater is big! The seats are a little tight if you have some hips on you. The seat can lean back a little bit. They do have a good cushion. The screen is big and the picture looked good. The sound, however, was a little low.

Enjoyable. The staff were friendly. The arcade is a great place to waste time before your movie start. Concession stands line were long but moves fast enough. Saw Jurassic World Rebirth in 4DX 4DX was an experience... seat moving, water (is optional) & wind. It was fun, the kids next to me were very annoying but I have patience & know how to ignore other people kids.

Tip Gun Movie Premiere -- highly recommend!

Ooh, heyyyy, someone's had a makeover! It's all shiny and new up in here. The theater is very clean, the concession lines are fast, it's well staffed, and the Screen X theater is noooice (with a wraparound views). Definitely upgraded for our viewing pleasure! New movie-going experience at Regal, 5/5. Cheers!

Would not recommend. Our movie skipped and paused! The last time it skipped, we sat there and waited for 10 minutes. Terrible experience!

Nice theater but 1000 times too loud! Bring earplugs. The volume is painful to the ear.

Ask the Community - Regal Edwards Houston Marq'E

Do they sell alcohol?

I know they do in the VIP area. I'm not sure about other areas since I've only ever gone to the VIP section.

I'm not seeing any IMAX listings on Fandango. Did they get rid of it? Or are they in the process of upgrading it?

They do now outside of the VIP room.

We started with a few drinks in their Took Took lounge before the movie. Drinks were moderately priced (aperol spritz) priced at ~$10. I know that's a lot to some, but I feel like drinks are $12-$15 these days (and not even craft cocktails). I'll also point out that I went to an outdated movie theater recently (AMC 8 downtown), and their wines were $20 a glass. So what you pay for in premium movie tickets at iPic, the food/drink options are better quality and probably cheaper compared to other basic movie theaters.

We headed to the restroom first, but an employee followed us and told us we couldn't use it. I politely asked if we could buy the tickets first and then use the restroom, but the whole interaction felt unnecessary and frustrating. Because of that, we ended up buying tickets much earlier than the time our movie actually started. When we got to our seats, they weren't clean, so my boyfriend had to ask if someone could wipe them down, which was also irritating. Overall, it was a very underwhelming experience. We tried to give this place a chance, but next time we'll probably just go to Cinemark.

Tickets were on the pricier end especially since it was a Thursday night, but not a big deal. The workers were friendly, and the seats were EXTREMELY comfortable & cushy... I still think about them to this day... I also thought it was nice how movie viewers could order food and the workers would come serve it on a platter! I'm not too familiar with any deals or memberships that the River Oaks Theatre may have compared to its big name competitors, but I highly recommend everyone to experience a film here at least once! I have removed 1 star due to the unfortunate experience I had via their expensive hotdog. This is a warning to everyone here.. the banh mi hotdog tastes like a**. omgagod... it literally tastes like evil. I have never had anything like it, and I've eaten at dozens of Vietnamese restaurants in my life. It's not only the pickled veggies on it that seemed to have marinated in something really awful, but it's the weird smoked? flavor given to the hotdog. I considered sending it back but opted to just make the best of the movie. Do you like the hotdog? If so I'd like you to post an opposing review because I can't imagine someone enjoying it. And since I am here... I get the gratuity is included but the wait staff never came back to clear dishes, and maybe it's because they will only come if you press the button? If that's the case it was not communicated to us, and when the wait staff went by us to serve our neighbors maybe it would be a good practice to check in quickly with other people in the row while they're there? That's it. Will return. Will never order hot dog again.

The movie delivered a fantastic twist that kept us hooked, with excellent casting and strong performances all around. The theater itself is a gem -- small and intimate but extremely well-maintained, with comfortable seats and a clean, cozy vibe. Perfect for a date night. Tickets are cheap: $30 each. Wine was a rip-off at $20 a glass for table wine (cocktails at iPic are $10). We ordered two glasses without realizing it'd be $40. The bartender had already pour our glasses before we could change our mind (and wish she would have alerted us that for $10 more we could have purchased the entire bottle... So almost $100 later, we are in theater 7 where it was stuffy and hot as hell; people were sweating. The biggest difference is the seating--here, the seats fully recline and include footrests, so you can stretch out comfortably. The seats also feel wider and more cushioned than at MarqE. The audio quality is solid, and the overall theater feels modern and well maintained. One downside during my visit was that my seat was very dirty--it looked like someone had spilled a drink on it, and the entire front of the seat was sticky and wet. I had to move to a different seat, but there were very limited options left, so I wasn't able to sit next to my partner, which was a big inconvenience. Tickets can be a bit pricey, likely because of the location, but Regal's Tuesday discounts help a lot--you can often get tickets for around $8, especially for matinee showings. Parking is available in the attached garage for $5, which is convenient since there's very limited street parking in the area. Staff were friendly during my visit, and the theater has multiple screens with a good variety of movies.
