This theatre needs a makeover stat! This theater smelled so badly of mold. I broke out in an allergy attack. The popcorn is way too salty, i get it they want us to buy their drinks. This is the movie theater of Dawsonville. There are no special drinks, food or seats. It is your typical movie theater that plays what it out and what they think the folks of D-ville will go to. The staff is the usual high school and college kids who are friendly. The drinks and popcorn are as pricey as you know it will be along with the candy. The fake cheese nachos will be served and on an occasion they may have a hot dog or pretzel. Pick your movie, grab some grub and be entertained in Dawsonville. read more

Just saw the new Conjuring movie, which i loved, but it was difficult to see seeing as how the screen was very dimly lit. As well as the water had a very metallic taste, so overpowering in fact that it could be tasted through the shulshees and fountain drinks as well. read more

With as expensive as movie theater tickets are, spend your money somewhere else where you will have a more pleasant experience. I also felt that the volume of the movie was not loud enough... Regal Dawson is a nice theater with friendly staff. It, however, does not have any of the new theater attractions, such as IMAX or Regal's equivalent. It does serve a purpose and it beats driving 30 plus minutes to anywhere else. read more

I do not care for how things are since Regal took over. The past two visits were not so good. The ticket line was long but only one teller. The concession stand was super slow. The bathrooms smelled. Then we had to sit through 8 yes 8 previews. Seriously are 8 necessary? I will be back but not on time especially with so many previews. read more

I just saw Star Trek "Beyond" at this theater in Cinema #4. This is the second movie that I've seen in #4. The first movie that I saw (can't remember which movie it was) was too dark - not bright enough. I complained about the brightness then and I figured they would have replaced the projection lamp by the time I saw Star Trek. I was wrong. There is no way that the brightness levels in #4 meet SMPTE standards. I WILL NOT patronize Regal Dawson 400 again. read more

Arrived today to attend a movie, something I rarely do because I feel the cost is out of line for what the experience is. Walked up to the ticket counter and two employees were there. One was counting money and the other seemed unoccupied. Soon the unoccupied employee left the ticket counter. I waited a few moments before getting the attention of the employee counting money. I asked if he could sell me a few tickets, and he said something to the degree of "I need to count this money"... This was not an expedient process, as there was a pretty good deal of money, and this individual counted it very slowly, minutes pass by and a line starts to form. I went into the lobby and asked if someone would come help me with the tickets, they informed me that there was only one cashier on duty and the shift had changed, I went back outside. The employee was now counting coins, at an even slower pace than he was counting the cash. It becomes somewhat humorous to myself and the other patrons waiting to purchase tickets. Eventually a manager brought back the previously unoccupied employee and everyone was able to purchase tickets. I don't see why the individual counting money couldn't have set it aside for a moment and sold everyone in line their tickets, as it seemed that 10 minutes passed while I was standing at a counter where I was unable to buy a ticket, with people behind me waiting to do the same. There was nothing wrong with the movie, nor the candy or soda, I just thought the experience trying to buy a ticket was absurd. read more
