Mixed bag of an experience. I've been looking for a local mechanic and received several estimates,…read morebut I went with this shop because of the distance and reviews. Their pricing is on the medium-to-high side for the area, though still cheaper than the dealer. I needed an oil leak repaired. There was an $80 inspection fee before repair, and it didn't count toward the total repair cost. I did appreciate how quickly they handled everything and that they offered a ride home. When I picked up my vehicle, I had some questions about my bill. I politely asked about the labor charges because I was confused by how high they seemed. It showed $80 in labor to fill the vehicle with oil, even though it was already in the shop and had been drained after the repair. While my service advisor was reviewing it, another advisor helping someone else made an unsolicited snarky remark: "We have to charge labor--what, you want us to fill it with your used oil?" I had no issue paying for new oil; the labor charge just didn't make sense to me. My advisor found that it had been entered in error and removed most of that labor charge. There was no apology. I'd like to think the mistake would have been caught even if I hadn't said anything. As for the quality of the repair, it's hard to say for now--everything seems fine, and time will tell. I also later learned the repair should have a two-year warranty, which was never mentioned. Overall, I left feeling upset and irritated by the experience.

From the moment I walked in, Mr.Hoang's warmth, authenticity and welcome created an incredibly positive environment. He took the time to listen to my needs, as I tried my best to explain the car issues, and thoroughly explained the issues about the car, and proposed effective solutions without making me feel pressured. When I didn't understand something, he would either draw it on paper for me, or better, actually show me what a drain plug looks like and how dirty my air filter was. I learned so much during my time there!! His transparency and honesty instilled a sense of trust, which is often hard to come by in the automotive industry. Moreover, the overall customer service from the entire team was remarkable. When Mr.Hoang said that my drain plug was stripped and hard to come off, he asked what I wanted to do and offered to keep trying to get it off, which thankfully they were able to! Through every step of the way, he was communicating with me and made sure I knew what was happening. The whole team was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. The quality of work done on the car was top-notch and I left the shop feeling confident in their services. I wholeheartedly recommend this local, family-owned car shop to anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy automotive care. The combination of technical expertise and genuine customer service is a rare find, making this the best place for car maintenance and repairs. Don't hesite to visit. You won't be disappointed!

I had…read moreinitially inquired with many different auto repair shops/dealerships and H-Tech Auto prices came out to be the most reasonable, all while not putting a major dent to my wallet. On the day of the timing belt service for the Acura RDX, I had dropped off the vehicle in the morning and was later notified at a reasonable time (as estimated), that the vehicle was ready for pick-up. Upon arriving at the shop, Hoang took the time to explain what his team had completed (torqued bolts to OEM spec, displayed the condition of the previous belt, etc.) and answered any questions that I had in mind. The quality in the work showed and I wasn't pressured into signing off any additional service work that was not required. I would definitely recommend H-Tech Auto to any family members and friends, if they are ever in need of any auto service repair work that needs be taken care of.
