This place is definitely a bit of a hole-in-the-wall experience. The staff wasn't unfriendly, but…read morethey weren't especially engaging either, just kind of checked out. It may have been a bit of a language barrier, but overall the customer service felt minimal. We booked a couples massage. One thing I'll give them right away, the place smelled amazing. The room had a very homey, almost "grandma's house" feel with patterned sheets and mixed décor, which is different from the typical spa setting with crisp white linens. As for the massage itself, it was pretty average. They didn't really ask about trouble areas or pressure preferences upfront, so I brought mine up myself. The technique felt a bit basic, not very thorough or intentional, and there wasn't much in terms of stretching. My massage was on the gentler side, which may work for some but didn't quite meet what I was hoping for. Pricing is slightly lower than other places nearby, but not by a huge margin. One thing I did notice is they didn't seem to push for tips, which was a bit different from most massage spots. They also offered water and candy afterward, which was a nice touch. The location is a plus, it's surrounded by restaurants, so it works well if you're planning a dinner and massage combo like we did. Overall, it's an okay option if you're looking for something casual and convenient, but not necessarily a high-end or highly personalized massage experience.

When we arrived, we were greeted at the door. The place was very clean, pleasant, and quiet. We were shown to our massage room with two tables. There was ambient, meditative music playing in the space with dimmed lights - it felt very relaxed. The room was super clean. The masseuses came in shortly after we disrobed. They did a great job, constantly checking in with us on pressure application and making sure they were hitting the desired spots on our bodies. The room remained quiet during our experience and, sadly, time moved too quickly. As we prepared to leave, we were offered a small cup of lemon tea and water. Yes please! The pricing was very reasonable and we would DEFINITELY return. Glad this spot is close to our house....gonna have to jump back soon to get a foot massage!

I came to Sunny's spa for my second, Aescape (AI massage), I was greeted with a warm welcome from…read morethe spa attendant. I had booked a 60 minute full body massage. I was the first appointment of the day and no one else was in the spa. Upon entering the AI massage room, everything look clean and orderly. The AI machine had remembered my music taste however, all my settings that were mentioned that would be saved were not and I had to re-Adjust them before starting (but that took only a minute and not a big deal at all) . The massage was good. I was hoping by the second time I would feel less lightheaded, but laying face down for a full 60 minutes is a bit too long for me, (I think 45 minutes might be better). The massage itself was great though and relaxing. After my massage, I headed up to the pool area (you are able to use the pool if you place a service over 45 mins long) and found a lounge chair around 11 AM. I ordered lunch from my lounge chair 11:30 getting their tacos, they were wonderful. I asked for them to be grilled not fried and they happily obliged. Great service both at the spa and pool area. The pool has a beautiful ocean view. It was a little on the busy side only because it was spring break, but I was still able to have an open lounge chair and there was space to hang out in the hot tub and the pool area with without it being too crowded. The restaurant right off the pool is absolutely adorable. Cute little themed areas are so tastefully done for small groups. The Seabird hotel is gorgeous!! I love the nautical feel throughout. It is very nicely decorated. After spending about two hours in the pool area, I headed back down to Sunny's Spa and enjoyed the amenities that were provided there. They have a beautiful large sauna, cold mist area, waiting area with a gorgeous ocean view and light snacks & beverages. I give the experience a 10 out of 10.

I booked a deep tissue massage expecting a treatment focused on relieving muscle tension and…read moreworking on deeper layers of muscle. Instead, the session was centered more on removing my "energy," and involved mostly being rubbed with oil rather than receiving what I would consider a deep tissue massage. The massage cost over $200, so I expected the service to match what was advertised. In my experience, it did not. If you're looking for an energy-focused treatment, this may be a good fit. However, if you're specifically looking for a traditional deep tissue massage, my experience did not match that expectation.
