A woman--possibly the owner--sat at the front, texting, and looked annoyed by our presence. Despite the red flags, I decided to give the place a chance. During my service, I mentioned something was under my nail, and she simply shrugged and said there was nothing she could do. You could clearly see the outline of my old nails, and even though I didn't want any color, I was pressured to pick one because they looked so bad. She ended up switching the color I chose with a gel polish instead--without asking--and told me it was "better." The total came out to $90, and she casually mentioned they charge extra for kids. It felt very intentional that she used gel when I never asked for it. On top of that, I had to Zelle the payment--very unprofessional for an established salon in Boca. What truly shocked me was when she confronted me about the tip and went on to tell me how expensive Boca rent is. That is not how you speak to paying customers. If you expect tips, basic respect and kindness should come first. I still left a tip--because I have class, and the Hispanic lady who did my child's nails was so sweet. I know it's standard to want to know why a potential client is coming in but you ask everything at once but it was many texts during the day and I even sent her pics not requested by her(very plain full set acrylics) but I had a feeling she was not wanting to do it because of all the inquiries. She should have cancelled earlier in the day. But she decided to wait until the last minute when I rearranged my work schedule and now it's too late to find anyone else! I got a call saying they could get me in at 1:45. I said great and I came in at 1:45. I was greeted nicely and offered water or tea which was nice. I used the restroom and I sat back down. My tech walked over to me and told me she was dealing with an owner issue and needed 10 more minutes. Time passes, not positive how long but then I'm told to come back in 30 minutes. I decide to just walk around the shopping center, I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind too much. Then I walk by her and she tells me she's not allowed to go back in the salon yet and she has to wait longer and proceeds to inform me a little bit about what's going on. Anyway, eventually we get back into to salon and she starts on me, but is continuously leaving to talk on the phone during my manicure. Even talking on the phone while my hands are being painted. Huge waiting periods. Other staff is checking on me. During the drilling periods, the drill hit my skin multiple times, at least 8, probably more though. Once she finishes my nails and is on another call, I start having to pick off nail polish on my skin of my fingers. I'm hopeful at least that the pedicure will be nice. She's pretty much done with the phone calls at this point thankfully, but I think the pedicure may have been a little rushed because I was the only one left there. When she was using a tool to remove dead skin (some type of exfoliating drill attachment) she was WAY too rough on the side of my big toes and I woke up to it hurting more the next day. I'm including photos of the wounds. I also have an event this Saturday and I doubt my toes will be healed by then which will be super painful because my heels hit right on the open wound. FINALLY we finish at 6:20. ALMOST FIVE HOURS LATER! Also, I'm in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy so this was a lot of sitting. I missed my son's last baseball game, and didn't get to spend quality time with my kids after school. It was almost like this was purposeful? The worst part is that I was only given 50% off each service. At this point it should have been free. I told all my friends about this experience and they won't be returning either. Run while you can.

We lucked out as we only had a short wait -- even though they were exceptionally busy for a Wednesday afternoon. The shop was bright and clean. I picked out my polishes from the racks up front and found the perfect blue for my toes. I did the pedicure first. It was lovely to relax and be pampered. And the hot towels and leg massage were an added plus. Then I had a manicure as well. Henry (English name for Huigh?) was my technician for both procedures. He was gentle on my sensitive skin. And took time to do everything just right. I felt like a new person afterwards. We also got to meet the"new" owner, Amy, who was very welcoming and personable. She did my husband's pedicure. He was very happy with his experience, too. We both said we'd love to come back. And we hope to do so soon.
