A straightforward 1980s music venue with optional fancy dress code, usually attracting free entry. Free tap water to help yourself to, by the bar. Short queues; a quick search and you're in. A few screens displaying the 80s music videos adds a nostalgic touch to the atmosphere. Shiny disco balls, a small but sufficient, colourfully lit dance floor and away you go! Open 8pm till 3am, it doesn't really pick up till 10pm.

I had always…read morewanted to visit here, having listened to a lot of their curated stuff online, and I finally got the chance on a recent trip to London. Finding the Ministry is easy; all the entrances and lines are clearly marked outside. We had purchased tickets online, and we entered incredibly quickly as a result. Once inside, it is a massive area. The Gallery, the area you enter into, was playing house music and had a huge bar. The Box, where the artists were performing their sets, was clearly marked. The Box had arguably the best soundsystem I've ever experienced at a club, no exaggeration. I think their dedication to this endeavor shows. The bass is booming, the sound is clear, and there are plenty of lighting and smoke effects. We had a great time in here, but don't expect to hold a conversation - this is a room purely for the music. And boy is it something to behold. A smaller room was the baby box, and this played primarily remixes of pop songs with EDM mixes. We spent a LOT of time here. Very fun, not very crowded. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. (Though I'm American so I'm not sure what the standard is.) Obtaining an Uber after was easy and the location is very easily found. Overall, I definitely want to return in the future.

The lounge room upstairs was so crowded that you could not access it at all during the night. All of the music was EDM, which after being there for hours was mind numbing, with no break. The bar felt safe for the most part, metal detector and searches to get in, lots of security in the building. They have a few VIP options with seating in the main bar area and VIP upstairs. Drinks were reasonably priced. The crowd is slightly young, I would say predominately 18-21. I would recommend not showing up until 12, we showed up around 11 and the club was dead. The main artist (Dillon Francis) did not even start until 3am which I found to be way too late. Overall, cool experience while visiting London but couldn't need to return. Main floor is accessible, top floor there are stairs to access 1 room and VIP area.

Looking for obscenely decadent late night fun?…read more The Box is over the top London at its finest. It's part night-club, part Burlesque show and part weird sex performance theatre. Go with an open mind, a full wallet, and a willingness to drink heavily and you will have a rocking time. Yes you will see lots of oiled up naked women dancing above bathtubs, pre-op transvestites doing unmentionables with bottles of champagnes, and perhaps a royal or two. The Box is somewhere between ridiculously and absurdly expensive---try £3000 for a table on a weekend night. However, this gets you into a jumping venue with a great dj and of course multiple live "performances." The happening and surprisingly friendly crowd is definitely willing to party and dance the night away. Tip try not to get a front row table for the performances---its akin to the "splash zone" at Seaworld, only here there is a very good chance you will either get covered in baby powder cocaine or soiled with back-washed champagne that came out of a non-mouth orifice---yeah, don't ask!

Occasionally a club will shake me up and convert me if only for a night.. Heaven did just that! The entrance to the underground and the overall vibe of the place is straight out of a movie.. a dark warehouse, lasers, dancing, you name it. It all works and I loved it. We were here for G-A-Y Porn Idol and I've only seen pictures and heard stories back home in the states. It truly lived up to the hype and I had the best time the entire night. The lines for drinks weren't awful and neither were the lines for the bathroom.. both get a huge plus from me. I read awful reviews about certain looking people not getting in or this and that for security and thankfully we didn't have an issue (gay male and straight female). Also, make sure to get your name on the list online beforehand. Hopefully I get back to London and Heaven soon as we both had a fantastic time.

Still the same terrible door experience after 15 years…read more I genuinely cannot believe I am writing almost the exact same review 15 years later! I went to Heaven with friends around my 25th birthday, and on two separate occasions my friends and I were refused entry or treated so badly by the door staff that it completely ruined what should have been a memorable night. After that, I swore I would never go back. Fast forward 15 years, and my boyfriend and his friends, visiting from Poland, decided to go. I actually warned him beforehand about my experiences and told him not to bother. Unfortunately, exactly the same thing happened. They are the nicest bunch of people! His group was split up at the door and my boyfriend was refused entry, apparently for no clear or properly explained reason. Whatever the legitimate reasons a venue may have for refusing entry, there is absolutely no excuse for making people feel singled out and humiliated without giving them a reasonable explanation. What is even more concerning is the behaviour of the security staff. A female member of security became extremely aggressive towards one of my friends and physically grabbed him by the arm. When he instinctively recoiled from being grabbed, she then accused him of being aggressive. That is an extraordinary way for security staff to conduct themselves. I appreciate that working security at a busy nightclub isn't easy, and that staff have to make difficult decisions about who enters. But there is a world of difference between being firm and being intimidating, confrontational and unnecessarily physical. The saddest part is that this is a venue that should, in theory, represent a welcoming and inclusive space. Instead, for me and apparently many others, the experience starts at the door with feeling judged, rejected and treated like a problem. Fifteen years later, nothing seems to have changed. I looked up other people's reviews and I wasn't surprised to see so many other with almost the exact experiences. So sad and utterly pathetic. I won't be going back and neither will my Boyfriend or any of his Polish friends. I certainly won't be recommending Heaven to anyone looking for a welcoming night out in London\. There are plenty of other LGBTQ\+ venues where you can spend your money without having to run the gauntlet of the door first. Heaven = dated, rude staff, zero customer service or care

A female security staff member came over multiple times telling us we couldn't put our jackets there, even though others were doing the exact same thing and we were right next to it. The way she handled it came off unnecessarily rude and aggressive, which really killed the vibe for us. The clubbing scene has grown up over the years. This venue is a trussed up warehouse fitted with one bar that services two rooms. The atmosphere will always be intimate as the place is not huge. With a decent outside space fitted with a Corona bar, Corsica Studios is spacious enough to be able to wander the white walkways to escape the phenomenally heavy bass lines to catch your breathe.
