Called SVM after learning this and got an appt for replacement today (Thurs). Nikitia called prior to appt & said he could come sooner and I said great. Not only was he here sooner he got the job done quickly. Our washer & dryer were side by side w/the dryer hose passing behind the washer to where it exited--when the old washer became unbalanced it had banged into hose causing the hole that were unknown to us till it was exposed when new washer was installed. As a side note, when replacing a washer or dryer do not let the installer run a dryer hose behind a washer as if it becomes unbalanced it will damage the hose creating a fire risk.

I love Sierra Maintenance. The ease of scheduling an appointment, payment options, customer…read moreservice, the actual service and results have not disappointed. A couple of years ago I noticed the amount of energy we were supposed to be getting with our solar panels had severely decreased as our SMUD bill increased. Someone recommended getting the panels cleaned. I saw a sign for Sierra Maintenance leaving our neighborhood and decided to give them a call. After they cleaned the panels, I noticed a lower SMUD bill the next month and in the subsequent months and even to this day. They also send before and after pictures which show just how filthy the panels can get. They also cleaned our gutters this time which I didn't realize had a ton of gunk in them. Our home is two-story ~ 4k sq foot. We have about 12 panels and it was ~$200 to clean them plus another $360 to clean the gutters. Excellent company, which I will refer to others as well as use again next year.

He was very thorough in providing information on their process of cleaning off the moss and all other debris on the roof and treating the roof after the cleaning. The crew included Chris and Sam who were friendly and informative, letting us know what to expect from their job. The cleaning was thorough, on the roof, gutter, and ground. They did a very nice job, not only cleaning off our roof, but they also cleaned and washed off our three skylights, as well as thoroughly cleaned out our gutters. It's too early to tell, yet, whether or not the moss will return, but the roof is free of old moss and residue. We're definitely happy with the results. As for the value, it's a bit pricey but hopefully, it'll save us a few more years from reroofing.

He even asked our next door neighbors for permission to clean up a bit that went over there (homes here are very close together). In the areas that I and my husband were able to look at, it looks almost like a new roof. As you can see from the before / after photos, there are a few stains remaining, but all living garbage (moss, lichen, and whatever else was growing up there) is completely gone. They were highly recommended by our roofer, so I didn't get any other quotes. I can't say whether the price was high, low, or average. At roughly 75 cents per square foot, the cost was certainly more than I was expecting. (The type of roof, as well as its pitch, probably also factors in to the pricing.) So 5* for the job as accomplished, with the caveat that the price seemed high. But then again, what doesn't these days?
