When I finally did arrive, I called the manager from my car to tell her I had changed my mind, but she insisted that I go in. Even though my intuition was telling me to go home. Doreen, the Spa Director was very nice and gave me a free fifteen-minute Halotherapy session. I attempted to relax, but my intuition was still telling me to go home. Nevertheless, I completely disregarded the warning signs and gave this Spa the benefit of the doubt. It was a big mistake: My stylist was Riz, he was extremely rough while he was washing my hair, and I thought that I would see how he was with the haircut. I showed him a picture of the hairstyle I wanted and he proceeded to style my hair. He didn't even come close to the style I wanted. He had no idea how to cut my hair. Riz then began to blow-dry my hair: At first attempt, he hit the nape of my neck with the brush. I told him he had hurt me. I let him try again, and he kept on hitting my head with the blow-dryer. Eventually, (after tolerating blows with the brush) I told him I needed to use the restroom. He had only done one-quarter of my hair. I went inside the restroom, composed myself and went back to Riz's styling station and told him straight out "I'm leaving". At first, he nodded his head, then he realized what I had said. I took my belongings and went to the check out to pay for my services. Doreen told me forty-seven dollars. I said to her "Forty-seven dollars for a haircut and blow dry, correct?" She said, "Yes". I then told her I would be fine with paying for the haircut, even though it was not what I wanted, but not the whole price as I would not sit through that painful blow-drying session with Riz. Doreen told me that all his patrons love him, and didn't know what happened with me. She then decided she would not charge me at all. This was a very bad experience at a spa that I will never go to again. For me, this was no sanctuary and it definitely was not divine. Riz can't do ethnic curly hair, even though my hair isn't very thick. He had no aptitude for cutting or blow-drying my type of hair.

They were happy to accommodate a couples massage but we told them there was no need to rearrange and set a new room up if two individual ones are ready to go. Super nice staff. I believe my lady's name was Cici and she was fantastic! I had told her about some neck issues I was having and she really dug into that area, in addition to my lower back (which I've been having issues but never mentioned). I think she could tell as she was feeling for tenseness and such. This place is more of reflexology/thai massage type place so more use of other body parts to massage (elbows, forearms, etc...) not just fingers. They also had the pole for walking on your back if you're into that and request it. I already recommended this to family and a few friends in the are, so happy to extend the recommendation to my Yelp community too!
