    a field of pumpkins

Had an absolute blast here with the extended family and all their kids. We came here at the tail end of the pumpkin harvesting season and there were still quite a few pumpkins available for picking. Countless already picked ones ready for pick up. The corn maze is just big enough for a good run around but not so big you actually get very lost - incredibly fun. In the pumpkin patch, there are several photo ops which were great to play on with the kids.

Stopped in to check out this small local farmers market. They didn't have a lot of stock but everything we purchased was absolutely delicious. Prices were competitive. I thought the berries were a bit pricey but the boxes were 2-3x the size of grocery clamshells, and had that just-picked-taste. The jar peaches are outstanding. The ingredients have zero water, so I am guessing it's floating in peach nectar? We also enjoyed the pilgrim bread and molasses cookies, and well, everything we got: rhubarb, coffee cake, muffins, berries, ice cream...

Our 3rd time for pick your own strawberries at Reesor's Farm. I love their reservation system, so it's not too crowded at the field. And, it's safer for my small kids, too! Strawberries are fresh and sweet. Kids love it and keep talking about it throughout the year!!

The place is well organized. And strawberries were. red, big and tasty, we really enjoyed the picking.

This market is one of my absolute favs in York Region! The first time we discovered Reesor's was a year after we moved to Markham from Thornhill. We were exploring and driving in and around Highway 48 as well as across 9th line. I love how conveniently close Stouffville and all their businesses are to us where we are in Markham. Let me start off by saying, the produce here is AMAZING! I purchase asparagus, zucchini, freshly picked strawberries, delicious baked goods, Reesor made take-home frozen entrees (including gluten free), preserves, frozen meats, cut flowers etc. This is the only place I purchase fresh baked pies from. My family loves strawberry picking (mid June to early July) with my family here in the Summer. In the Fall you can visit the farm market for the Pick your own Pumpkin field and Corn Maze which will open in early September. The farm market is open from June to October. When this market is closed you can also visit the year round Reesor Market store at 5758 Main Street in Stouffville.

Cute place to pick pumpkins and take a morning to explore a corn maze and take pictures with pumpkins. They charge a $3/person admission to just enter the patch and corn maze. Prices will vary if you want to rent a wheel barrow and pick pumpkins. They also have a few pumpkins already picked at the front where you don't need to pay an admission to get to. They had a shop out front too but since I went on thanksgiving day, it was closed. But apparently you can buy pies and other farmer's market-esque stuff there. Parking was packed and we came at 11:11am which meant it had only been open for 11 mins.

Seeing all the video's and instagram photos of this place i was expecting a lot more. It was a bit of a let down coming to a barren land basically and seeing only a few pumpkins at the front scattered from people moving them around. Maybe i went too late during the season and everything was almost sold out? We walked around the corn maze and a lot of it has been trampled by other people. We ended up just circling back and walking back out the towards the entrance instead of trying to get out through the other side. We did like the gigantic pumpkin head seated on hay at the side they made which was really cute to take photos with. I haven't tried their strawberries or their pumpkin yet so i will be returning to try those in the future. But for now its a 3 stars A-Ok!

Speed Read; 1) Best Apple pie in the area 2) Great for Kids 3) Corn comes a surprise I went there during Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, as my objective is to pick up an apple pie. During busy times, the pies are baked on the same day. All I have to do is to reheat the pie that evening. The apple pie tasted amazing after reheating in the oven for about 20 minutes. The crust is crispy and the apple were well caramelized. Unlike frozen apple pie, we could still tasted the fresh apple taste from the pie. I definitely will go back for more pies. There is also a corn maze, pumpkin patch, and all you can pick pumpkin field. I see kids were running around having an amazing time there. The farm is small, but there is a few photogenic spots that looks like you went out town to a big farm. If you are looking to buy corn during this time, please read the sign before touching them, as you might be surprised! My guess is they don't spray their corn with pesticide?

It may not be a good time to visit Reesor Farm Market when it is between seasons.... Pumpkin are not ready to harvest yet.. and the only thing they have are corns and some vegetables. If you are looking for baked goods or gourmet products, there are not too many, I would suggest you drive up to Reesor Farm Kitchen instead.

Mum wanted to go to a farmers market after visiting Lionel's Farm, so farmers market we will go!!! In the very outskirts of Markham, you'll see a little quaint farm house with nothing around it. When we went inside, it was BUSTLING with people. Quite busier than I expected it to be. The interior really plays on the barnyard aesthetic yet it was still so charming and clean. It's not a huge place, but they had lots of produce, flowers, baked goods, fridges for pre made food, and a corn wagon outside. It was really awesome! One thing I noticed was that the prices were defff higher than your regular grocery store. Hopefully you can see the pics I posted. But I swear peppers were like $7 or something like that. The quality and the size were really great though and you can see the difference from an average grocery store. One thing we enjoyed was the corn cart on the outer part. For 6 corn it is $3.75 and you peel the husk right there. Even before husking them I can tell it was going to be amazing quality as it was perfect from the outside. We bought a sunflower, a gluten free chicken pot pie family size, and 6 corn. The corn was to dieeee for. It was so fresh and delicious. Highly recommend. The pie.... it NEEDS THE GLUTEN!!!!! For any crispy carby crusty pie lovers, don't get it as it is not crispy or carby or crusty. Don't get me wrong it was still good, but for me it was missing those three qualities. Sunflower is gorgeous and sitting beside me right now. All in all 4.5/5. Really great quality produce with a variety. Nice aesthetics. I'd visit here more often if it was closer!

Had such a great time here! Came really late because I finished work at 4 on a Saturday - got up to the farm around 4:40 and ended up staying for an hour or two! I was worried we would be ushered out of the maze by 5 o'clock but me and my friend got lost and probably spent about an hour trying to get out! I thought this was going to be a small kiddie maze, but it turned out to be fun for all ages! The corn maze is $3 a person or $10 a family, which goes straight to charity! Unfortunately, we went during the last week of corn harvesting/sales which means the corn was smaller than usual, but still $0.65 each or $3.75 for 8, and we ended up getting two bags! The corn was still delicious, despite the slightly smaller size. The pumpkin patch is free to go into and between the tractor out front, the pumpkins and the corn maze, there are PLENTY of instagrammable opportunities to be had here! We also bought cookies, and two trays of butter tarts - which were both SOO good! A dollar or two more than you would find them for at your local grocery store, but these are made with real ingredients, and you can really feel it with how wholesome and home-made the cookies taste! tl;dr: It was 30 minutes out of the way, but it's definitely worth an hour's drive. Definitely recommend spending an afternoon here, eating baked goods and picking pumpkins!

It was quite busy on a beautiful weekend so we weren't surprised. The staff was very nice and friendly. They gave us advice for picking, we paid ($16 per person) and went in. There's a tractor you can take out to where the strawberries (10 min walk) and raspberries (6 min walk) are. We opted to walk since it was so beautiful outside. Unfortunately, it really was the end of strawberry season. A lot were burnt by the sun or were too soft, especially on the bottoms. After little luck, we decided to pick raspberries only. The buckets are different so we made sure we filled the correct one. There were a lot more raspberries and we worked hard to fill our buckets. Be careful because the raspberry bushes have thorns! We also stopped by the shop on the way out. We'll be back for apple season.
