This is a great place. Kid friendly, has season things to do such as strawberry picking, sunflower walk, pumpkins. We have been here a few times now. The sunflower walk is really nice, lots of tall sunflowers and some great spots to take pictures. Last year they had art (of minions) interspersed throughout. We also went strawberry picking and they had SO many strawberries. Just rows and rows. They tasted so good too - juicy, sweet, flavourful. Definitely way better than the ones you buy on plastic cartons at the grocery store. You can either pay for one of their baskets (and you can get like a dollar back if you return it), or you can bring your own basket as long as it is labeled with how many Litres it holds. We were looking for a sunflower walk that wasn't too far from Toronto, and this fit the bill. It's quite a bumpy ride after turning in from the road since parking is just on soil. When we reached the white tent, the employee asked what we were there for since there's the sunflower walk, picking strawberries and veggies from the farm, and cutting your own bouquets of flowers. For the sunflower walk, she directed us to the hut a little further away, and we could pay there. The walk there was filled with cardboard cutouts with face holes with Toy Story characters. It's currently $5.25 per person, free for those under three years of age, and $3.25 per person if you're cutting flowers on the same day. Paying was easy with a tap of a credit card. The sunflower walk starts at the bales of hay. We saw plenty of bees on the sunflowers and there were many photo opportunities with the Minions from Despicable Me. They were painted as recreations of famous paintings.  We didn't pick our own veggies, but it was interesting to see how they're grown. Some of the veggies that we saw were Swiss chard, kale, zucchini, bell peppers, green onions, leeks, pyo beans, beets, radishes, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, and cabbage. Robintide is a convenient farm to pickup fresh local strawberries and produce without driving too far out of the city. Just look at the current gas prices! Starting in mid-late June, the farm becomes quite busy with visitors dropping by to pick-your-own. There are rows upon rows of strawberry patches at the farm, within a short walking distance from the main tent & parking. This is convenient as you can literally finish picking a large basket within 20 minutes, and then be on your way after absorbing some sun. There are also plenty of vegetables including bean, beet, broccoli, brussels sprout, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, tomato, cucumber, eggplant, garlic, green onion, pepper, kale, leek, lettuce, pumpkin, squash & zucchini. Cute farm about 30mins from Toronto with lots of things to do from Spring to Fall. We went strawberry picking in spring and the prices were reasonable and you can bring your own basket too. In the summer you can go for the sunflower walk and take lots of nice pictures, there's also a pick your own floral bouquet as well. When we were there we saw the pumpkins growing for fall, so can't wait to go back again for the fall seasons! There's also a little farmers market for you to buy fresh produce and flowers. They have self-picking and an on-site store with 100% Ontario produce from surrounding farms. Strawberry season is over and the self-picking options were slim. We picked up gorgeous Swiss chard, blueberries, peaches and huge green onions! It's a very large farm. Lots of cars pulling in to the site. I always make the effort to support our Ontario and Canadian farmers. read more

A nice little farm north of Vaughan that gets your itch scratched for Strawberries! (They also had potatoes and beans when I went) It's a family owned business that seems extremely established and they know what they are doing. It was a little pricy, but it was still a fun experience! read more

We went strawberry picking this week. The farm is organized and clean. The strawberries are juicy and delicious.

Finding a PYO strawberry place that doesn't charge cover, require a reservation and relatively close to the city is hard. Luckily Robintide checks all these boxes with ease. We got here early on a cloudy Friday morning, which mean we were able to pick our berries easily. We filled our containers within an hour and headed out. You pay by weight and they allow you to bring your own containers too, so for us - it cost us about $10 for a filled 2 litre basket and 2 filled pints baskets. Getting into their fields was easy and you didn't have to be walk too far to start picking. Due to COVID, they had a few staff on hand and they assigned you rows to pick. If you run out of sweet berries to pick, you need to locate the staff to assign you a new section or row to pick. I found that this was not needed for the amount we picked. Staff was very friendly and ensured that berry pickers were evenly spaced out. Keep in mind that this place does not have any additional farm entertainments, like farm animals or a playground for the kiddies. However, for a Pick Your Own experience, Robintide is an excellent option for the family, especially with smaller littles, because their fields are so close and berry plants are neatly laid out. read more

This was a fun, family friendly, outdoor activity! Fresh, local strawberries beat grocery store strawberries any day! Large parking lot. Organized staff. Different areas for baskets, cashing out, farmer's market, etc. Upon arrival, you're given instructions on where to park. As you walk to the main area, your hands are sprayed with sanitizer and you're asked to meet in a group. Another person gives the rundown on where to buy baskets and to weigh the containers you've brought. In the actual strawberry fields, you and your group are assigned specific rows to ensure social distancing and a productive harvest. When you're done, you head to the checkout tent to weigh the fruits of your labour. The lines were very long on a Sunday, but they moved and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. There was no pre-booking for a time slot or minimum purchase. For environmental reasons, bring your own solid containers which are weighed pre-pick and subtracted from the final total weight. Otherwise, they have baskets for purchase. Check the website for availability. They have various fruits and vegetables for picking during the summer and fall. They will even have flowers and sunflowers too! read more

Robintide farms a not allow dogs so we could not visit. Other than that, looks like as nice place.
