When we arrived the first thing my mom saw was a plant that was potted in the front. She said it looked like a plant called Dasheen, she was ready to ask if it was for sale LOL! Dasheen is kinda like spinach! It's taste so good when cooked with white belly shrimp. We picked up quite a few veggies (hot peppers, corn, kale, tomatoes, eggplant and cabbage). So soon as we got home we boiled the corn and added some paprika on it. It was so sweet, it didn't need butter! I would say the hot peppers were more on the mild side. But I did eat one that super hot. Hopefully next time we go we'll pick our own vegetables.

You can buy the vegetables that they have already picked or you take plastic bags and scissors, and go out into the fields yourselves. We took a few bags and went on our way. The kids were excited to look at all the plants and see the produce growing from them. I'd recommend city dwellers take their children here and show them where their vegetables come from. We ended up picking some green peppers(bell peppers), long peppers and green chillies. We also purchased some ready picked courgettes(zucchini) and green beans. They also have 3/4 different types of aubergines(eggplant), bitter melons, tomatoes, sweetcorn, watermelons, melons and many other varieties of vegetables. Most of the vegetables are priced at only 99 cents/lb or $1.29/lb, which makes them very reasonable. We ended up paying only $6.15 for all our veg. Great place to go and pick up some fresh produce.

The market is obviously popular as there were many customers during my visit. I found some fruits are more expensive but most vegetables are reasonably priced. Since it's not far away from home, I'll always come back for its organic produce.
