Visiting the area and took a walk over to Reefpoint. Overall, I'd recommend it. They are right in the marina here in Racine. The restaurant is quite spacious and located on the second level of the building. There are options to sit inside, outside but covered, or outside. The marina and Lake Michigan add the experience with great views from the deck area. Our server was very nice. She was super attentive, and we really appreciated her checking back in for refills, napkins, etc. The food was actually the highlight of my experience. I got the garlic shrimp skewers which came with a Hawaiian roll, Cole slaw and a side (I chose a baked potato). My partner got the prime rib dip with hush puppies. Didn't have a chance to take a pic of the cheese curds before they were devoured! Only downside is the place is VERY noisy. Everytime someone who move a chair, the scraping sound was otherworldly. They are metal chairs on a concrete/gravel flooring. Not ideal. And waitstaff was constantly dropping things and running into each other or the chairs/tables. That was a bit chaotic. However, the food was great and so were the views. They also have live music (they had wrapped up before we got there today). I'd definitely come back (maybe sit inside near an area where you can look out on the lake). read more

Adam provided excellent service and was attentive to us. We tried the jambalaya which was packed with chicken, bay scallions, shrimp, and andouille sausage. We also tried the Cobb salad, which was equally delicious and there were plenty of leftovers of both dishes for the following day. While visiting my brother, we stopped here to grab some food and drinks. The drinks were decent and the wings were pretty good too. The place has a rustic vibe and you can definitely tell it has been around for a while, but that adds to its character. It is also spacious inside with plenty of parking, which makes it an easy and comfortable spot to visit. If you know you'll take home leftovers, the Captain's Platter is the way to go. $26 & you'll get a dinner plus a lunch guaranteed. This time I got the Pulled Chicken BBQ platter & I got far more chicken than I expected. Always get the Tater Tots as the side, superb!! Didn't expect it as filling & delicious. The salads are really big portion sizes. I would pass on the Avocado slices. Delicious but not the most filling. Perfect appetizer for2- 4 but not enough for a table of 6 to enjoy more than 1 each. My friends and I have a tradition where we go to this restaurant the day before the fourth of July every year. Last year and this year our experience has been very disappointing. This year all our food came out nearly at once, so we had to eat our appetizers with our entrees. The onion rings were great, but that's where it ends. The salmon was dry and not even the sauce could save it, the kettle chips tasted like cardboard, and the mashed potatoes tasted like flavorless mush. We wish it was better as the location is beautiful and the employees are nice, but the food and the feeling of being rushed tainted the experience. Let me start off by saying the wings here rocked! Kind of tastes like brisket with a little bit of a char on the skin, but I loved them. Some of the best wings I've had actually, and the sauce had heat, but not too spicy. Cheese curds were good, with the sauce being more on the sweet side. I would've preferred a chipotle mayo but, hey, can't complain. The chicken quesadilla was nice with the chips and salsa & guac at no extra. Ate around half the quesadilla pieces and the curds, but took a bunch of the wings home for leftovers. Both reheated quite well, and the spice flavor lasts. Came here for a late night date night in early April, sat at outdoor bar and there was plenty of heat to keep it comfortable while enjoying the live band. I had a chocolate martini and a lemon drop martini which were both incredible. My fiancé had jack and cokes. He ordered the fajita bowl and I had the salmon berry salad which I substituted chicken for the salmon and OMG it was delicious. I was talking about it for days. Restaurant is located on the second floor with access via stairs inside or from the outside as well as via elevator. There is an open patio and a covered patio. Along with ample indoor seating. While we were there they had live music performing it's a little loud so if you want to be outside and still talk you'll want to sit in the uncovered patio section. Stopped for a few drinks and apps on the 4th of July. We had a great table in the covered area outside. The food and drinks came out quickly and were as expected. Our server was really friendly and knowledgeable...we couldn't believe it was her first week. She did an excellent job and made sure we had everything we needed even though it was a pretty busy day. We had such a fun and relaxed time here!!! The views are special and beautiful. The restaurant is clean and on the upper level overlooking the marina. It was a lovely day out so the sky was so pretty and even a winter visit here would be pretty. The service was friendly and attentive (and kind and patient as we had a great visit with friends and our waitress was super understanding and allowing us our fun). The food was delish. My hubby and I both had different burgers. I had Ahoy Matte which was yummy and he the WI burger. He enjoyed it. Our friends had the flatbread and cob salad and both enjoyed!!! Usually an outstanding place all around. This time was awful and the wait staff and bartender would not get management to address this drunken slob. We sit at the outdoor bar. While there this disgusting creature was stumbling, threw up in his hand and later threw coasters at me. I turned and told him he was a complete dick and loser. He wanted to then fight. I just turned my back and asked the female bartender to remove him. Nothing. Later on he still sitting at the bar and starts yelling at women patrons "nice tits" and asking them to show him their racks. Again no management and no relief. But perhaps the worst was that this Ass Clown started called this early to mid lady in her 70s a C#unt multiple times. Then proudly announcing that he did just that to the whole place and also spelling the word out. Again Reefpoint did nothing. At the bitter end, the loser threw down 800 dollars cash on the bar. Now saying he was buying everyone's drinks except for the older lady he just called the C word to. And to even make it worse and now become a scam the bartender refuses to apply his money as he directs but instead tells him no and puts the money in her pocket. Truly unreal! This is one of those places that makes me wish Yelp allowed half stars. In my opinion, this place is deserving of 3.5 stars. My husband, 2 of our friends, and myself found ourselves at this restaurant after participating in a local wine event in the downtown Racine area. Food: Restaurant offers a variety of American food including soups, salads, flatbreads, burgers, etc. My party of four tried the cheese curds as an appetizer. Personally, I felt that the cheese curds left more to be desired. The presentation looked more like French toast bites. The curds also were not crisp enough, and the cheese just didn't have that 'wow' factor, given that these are curds served in WI. The shrimp tacos (also included pico de gallo and chips) I ordered were pretty good. My husband ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes and corn, which was okay. Our friends had the catfish and the catfish po' boy, which they also shared were okay. No one in my party ordered a dessert, but I recall that the dessert menu was short. The restaurant does have specials on Fridays and Saturdays. Drinks: Full bar. Several wine options. Margarita 'flights'. We tried the margarita flights and all of us thought they were pretty well made. The flights come with 4 margaritas- frozen or on the rocks, and they offer several flavors. Service: This review comes after my first visit. The place was busy, as I imagine many of us walked there after the local wine event, but the service was pretty good for a busy day. Service was fine, but the food was just ok. We started with the fried sliced avocado. I liked it, my wife thought it was weird. 3 out of 5 from me. I had the beer battered shrimp with a side of jalapeno Mac and cheese. Shrimp was big, tasty, and good. The jalapeno Mac and cheese tasted good as well. 4 out of 5. The soggy Brussels sprouts swimming in a weird maple juice (that's the only way I can describe it) was not good. This WOULD have been much better if the veggies were seasoned, grilled, and then had a hint of maple syrup drizzled over them. These had a canned quality to them the way they were. 2 out of 5 stars. My wife had the honey BBQ brisket flatbread. It was lukewarm, and the cheese on it wasn't melted. She ate half of it. 3 out of 5 stars. The thing about the meal service was, first there was a kid who came by while I was still eating the avocado appetizer asking if he could clear our plate. Like literally as I was about to grab remaining food off of it. Give him a break, he has too be 16 at the oldest. Then, literally 1 minute after our appetizer dishes are cleared. our meals show up, which is less than 10 minutes after our waitress left our table. So, that explains why the flatbread cheese wasn't warm/melted, is because they aren't making the meals fresh. There's no way you can take my order, get it to the cooks (assuming that order hit the kitchen first), get the appetizer to me, and get the meal to my table in under ten minutes. Sure, it can be done during slow times, but with the kitchen as busy as it was, it's pretty clear you're pre-making some of your menu items, and taking them out after they've been sitting there long enough to get cold. If I went to a place, ordered a flatbread, and received it LATE and cold, THAT, I could understand, but to receive a flatbread that's lukewarm and very EARLY, that's suspicious. To boot, my wife and I both had upset stomachs 3 hours after dinner. Very nice view of the area and decent beer list, but the actual food could be a little bit better. When you have such a prime spot on the lake, you should really make the place shine. read more

Beautiful restaurant next to the Lake Michigan shoreline! The burgers and salads are always on point. Staff is typically always pleasant. We were a little disappointed in the sweet potato fries, as they were a little overcooked and hard to chew, but otherwise the meal was great. As Racine doesn't have the greatest reputation, it's a pleasant surprise to have such a great restaurant in this area, surrounded by Racine's downtown shops a little up the road. read more
