Kindness goes a long way. I worked in the medical field for 18 years and would have never turned someone away considering they were almost to our phacility. I was headed to pick up meds for my boyfriend, who is unable to drive right now, and I got behind traffic and wasn't going to make it by 2 (Saturday). My GPS said it would arrive at 2:03. I called to see if someone would be able to help me by waiting for me to get there. I told him I was on the way, but it looked like I was gonna get there at 2. Alexis informed me that they're working hours are 9 to 2 and everyone leaves at 2, so if I couldn't get there by 2, no one could help. So I reiterated "so you're telling me no one can help?" and she said "no", nothing else. I proceeded to the pharmacy since I was only 2 minutes away, thinking maybe someone would be kind enough to wait. I arrived at 2:01 and the gate was pulled, and no one was in there. I understand that there are closing times for a reason however, there are certain circumstances that you would think people would have enough compassion to help someone out, especially in this healthcare field, but you're not gonna find it at Reed's Pharmacy in Berryville. Compassion and empathy. If you don't have it, you are in the wrong field. read more
