I order a mimosa (assuming it would be free with the $95 a piece we were paying for the brunch). It was not and we waited another 10 min for the drink! Mind you there were plenty of servers on the floor! When we finally got to the brunch we were disappointed that everything served, although very tasty was cold. Even the coffee!!! I love Sage Lodge. Normally there is no wait, service is exceptional and the food is great. That was the reason I was okay with Easter Brunch and it being a little pricey. But this was a big disappointment. The location is excellent--right in town and close to restaurants, shops, and the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park. One of the highlights was seeing a moose walking through the neighborhood, which made the experience even more memorable. The heating and air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room comfortable regardless of the weather outside. Overall, Yellowstone Gateway Inn was clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and in a fantastic location. We would definitely stay here again.

There wasn't room for anything else. The kitchen seemed to be well stocked until we wanted coffee. They furnished the a 12-cup coffee pot, but all we could find was 3 little bags of coffee that make 9 ounces each. If you don't wash the dishes you use, you get charged. I couldn't help but wonder who had previously washed my coffee cup. I ended up washing it before and after use.

The rooms were great - very clean and cute rustic log cabins and well appointed kitchen .The office staff were so helpful and friendly. Everything was very clean , beautiful grounds . We loved the creek . The Kids can fish there without buying a license . The water wheel was so pretty and the sound of it so nice. There is a little island accessible by a bridge.-So pretty. Many of our family said they would come back to El western in the future. I certainly recommend it. The Madison River is nearby for fishing. Virginia City is a 15 mile drive and Yellowstone Park is an hour away. Lots to do. Caroline O
