Headed to Yellowstone National Park? Good luck finding a reason room without having to take out a loan. The Holiday Inn in West Yellowstone, Mont., had a room for $278 a night. The Super 8 in Livingston, 54 miles from the north entrance at Gardiner, offered a room for $114. And those are the cheap end. I kept looking and found Lure Me Inn in Ennis, Mont. Sure, it's 70 miles from Yellowstone (an hour north on a highway with a 70-mile-an-hour speed limit). It's a beautiful drive that takes you past Quake Lake, formed in 1959 when a magnitude 7.5 earthquake dumped 80 million tons of rock into the Madison River and formed the lake. The Madison is a renowned fly-fishing stream for rainbow trout. The rate for a cabin with one bed was $75. I believe the cabins with two beds went for $89. The open room includes the bed, a dining table, a two-burner stove, refrigerator and microwave. Dishes, utensils and pots and pans were also supplied. There was also wireless Internet and DISH network television. The separate bathroom included a combination tub and shower. There was also a sitting bench and plenty of towels. Owners Melissa and Tom Rogers were friendly and clearly enjoy hosting people. They were a delight. read more

Small, 1 bed cabin was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a nice size. Good shower. We were late arriving and left early so the lack of a comfortable chair to sit in wasn't a problem for us. There was a folding chair and a bench by the table. There wasn't room for anything else. The kitchen seemed to be well stocked until we wanted coffee. They furnished the a 12-cup coffee pot, but all we could find was 3 little bags of coffee that make 9 ounces each. If you don't wash the dishes you use, you get charged. I couldn't help but wonder who had previously washed my coffee cup. I ended up washing it before and after use. read more

This place is great! We loved having our own CABIN!!! You park right by your door and you are set for the night. Kitchenettes, a good sized bathroom, cute little table to eat at, and it is peaceful! If you are coming to Ennis, or just passing through as we were...plan ahead. Most food places close early (especially due to COVID but there just aren't tons of food options). We blasted through their town grocery store 20 minutes before they closed and snagged some deli sandwiches. Anywho, the Lure Me Inn is adorable, the employee we had contact with was sweet, and if you need a place to stay before/after Yellowstone and don't want to be in a busy area super close to the park, this is for you! read more

We were looking for a place to stay on our way to Yellowstone, so HAPPY we came across this gem. Extremely clean and comes with everything you need. A small kitchenette complete with plates, pots and pans. Small refrigerator. We stayed in cabin 5 right in the middle we had a sweet view of a horse roaming the property across the street, very relaxing. The lady who works here is very attentive and helpful. If you're traveling thru Ennis, make sure to stay here. read more

We stayed here on our way to Virginia City and Bannack. They have 9 cabins with either one or two beds. All the cabins have full kitchens with microwave and pots and pans. The free wifi works well, and there is satellite television. We stayed in a two bed cabin. It was roomy with a 4 person table and a large bathroom. The room was clean, and the kitchen equipment was in good condition. This is a very quaint, homey place to stay, and the room rate is reasonable for the room size and features. read more

Stopped here on our way from Bozeman to Glacier. Rooms are clean and comfortable and include a kitchenette. The owner was awesome - arranged for us to have a horseback riding tour, gave us a discount coupon to the local distillery and recommended the best places for dinner. Will definitely stay here any time I am close to Ennis. read more

Great spot! We were passing through Ennius during the coldest part of winter (-17 degrees). Cabin was warm and the owner was great! Tony recommended great places to eat and drink in town. I rarely give reviews unless I have a very poor experience or exceptional experience. Lure me in was absolutely exceptional!!! My family stopped here on our way to Spokane. We needed an affordable nights sleep with a kitchen. Everything in the room was immaculate, we were able to make a nice home cocked dinner right in our room and we had everything we needed to make it happen. When the owner takes such pride in their business you feel the need to maintain and keep it that way. We slept amazing and then had breakfast in town before heading on our way. We were not here to fish but whether you come to Ennis to fish or are passing thru I highly recommend Lure Me In, you will be impressed. We stopped in with no reservations while on a ghost town tour of Montana. The price was good for a cabin with 2 queen beds. The rooms include a small kitchenette so we treated ourselves to a home cooked meal instead of yet another meal on the road. The place is charming and the owner was very nice. read more

Great place to stay! My boyfriend and I visited the local hot springs and needed a place to stay. It was graduation weekend in Bozeman and hotel rates were way up so we decided to head the other direction. Beautiful, clean little cabins! The owners are in their 3rd season so the cabins are basically brand new. Very reasonable rates and key pads on the door so we were able to book/pay and arrive anytime. I can't believe my luck in picking the "Lure Me Inn". As a solo female traveler I loved getting confirmation from the owner, Melissa this was a great place for me. She was right! The individual cabin was like my own cozy, secure, quiet log home. Tom(owner) thought of everything when building them. It's so nice not to hear neighbors through the wall and the inside lock on the door was a comfort. Melissa's Montana theme decorations are tasteful and sure to make you smile. Are you fishing the Madison? Don't stay anywhere but here. It's super clean, the separate cabins means no noisy neighbors and it's close to everything. It's kinda close quarters if you're dragging your own boat but the lady at the front desk can make anything happen you need. And I think sleeping in that cabin surrounded by all that cool fly fishing stuff on the walls helped me land my month's best the next morning. Oh, and the fridge for the beer was right by the bed. The customer service here is wonderful! I received great assistance from helping me schedule to helping me make the wifi work. The cabins are clean, comfortable and cozy and have all of the basics you need (like a mini fridge and stove top and microwave). It's very close to downtown Ennis, it's surrounded by the mountains with great views, and the rates are very reasonable. Made a blind reservation here after spending more time in Yellowstone than expected; had no idea what we would find when we got here. I can't tell you how happy we were when we arrived; the place is great! Immaculate and so cleverly decorated! I was skeptical of the motel by the outside appearance from the road, but once we pulled up, I realized it was much better kept than I had originally thought. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, and I was even more surprised by the rooms; they were super clean, cozy, and very inviting. This place was a great pleasant surprise. I stayed here because I just needed a place for me and my buddy to crash for a couple of nights and it was the cheapest rate in the area for a cabin. Once I walked in I was surprised how nice the cabin was and I can't express that enough. Very clean, very nicely decorated and a great rustic cabin feel! PET OWNERS BEWARE: we booked our room in advance, planning to stay two nights and let our cat stay in our cabin while we toured Yellowstone. We arrived and were told we could not leave our cat unattended. The woman in the office was absolutely unwilling to work with us, even though it was late and we'd already paid for our room. We ended up demanding a refund and having to scramble to find another pet-friendly hotel nearby, which took us over an hour of sitting in their parking lot and making phone calls. Nowhere on their site or in their emails or receipts or anywhere (I triple-checked) does it mention that your animal can never be left unattended. Seems like a totally ridiculous policy to me - you're going to put your cat or dog back in the car if you need to run to the grocery store? or if you go out to dinner? I don't think so. But since we were honest with our intentions, we got burned. read more

Nicely designed and decorated including kitchen with full cooking setup as well as dishes and utensils. Owners (husband and wife) were very friendly.
