First screening phone call the guy was proud to announce that I should easily be able to achieve a 70% disability rating. So I agreed to the terms and made an online payment of $3,000. I did their surveys, spoke to their doctors, got my Nexus in a shady side of town. Long story short the VA declined my back issues as not service connected (the documentation and Nexus could have been way better, stronger case) and the end result is I now get 10% for a whopping $150 a month. I emailed REE back and no response at all. I wish I would have looked more into the reviews like this one and chose a better service provider. read more

At this point, they dust their hands and send you off to their partner law firm who will ask for even MORE money-- REE Medical will provide no additional support at this point. When I reached out to REE, sure, they got me believing that they'd make sure I got an increase in my disability. Had me thinking positive thoughts. No such luck. I'm still stuck at 30% and I'm out 2500$. And now they're bugging me for another 200 dollars to upload my DBQ's for another appeal. I called late last week and expressed my concern and was told they'd send an URGENT email to the proper department and no reply since. HARD PASS!!! read more

The speed of service is non existent. Communication with my navigator was only followed by my inquiries. The original sales rep gave me a timeline and it took three times as long to hear from my navigator and begin the process. The first words he told me was to stop calling my sales rep. Every other information I received was "I don't have visibility on the standings of your paperwork. They are still being worked on." I was informed that if the VA said they needed to conduct their own exam to inform them and they would advise me of what was next. I received, "Thank you. How was my service?" I did not receive the increase they quoted me and when I advised them, I was ghosted again. I reached back out and received a denial letter basically stating they did their job. They are over priced and did not stand behind their promises to me. read more

I'm a Marine Vietnam veteran who served in Nam during the Tet Offensive in 1968-69. I was in combat for 13 months, but came back alive, when many of my buddies didn't. I didn't even know about applying for VA disability benefits until 2009, and was awarded 70%. I tried two other times to get increased benefits, through different sources, that cost nothing, and I got nothing, and finally I heard about Ree Medical in 2024. They came highly recommended, and Yes, they require upfront money with no guarantees. But nothing we do in life is guaranteed, and I believe you get what you pay for. Thanks to the Ree Medical team, I am now a 100% disabled veteran. They are extremely detailed, competent, and compassionate. If you want to receive the maximum disability benefit, that you deserve, and they will figure out if you are truly deserving, Ree Medical is the only way to go. From 70% to 100% p&t. Had to cancel c&p 3 times to clarify "I submitted private dbq's" after that it moved quickly ! It took 3 months though. Didn't receive the backpay that Ree said , it was only around $3k . They calculated 17k! I will say once they take your money Ree will go ghost until the end when they want you to fill out a survey haha we couldn't reach them when we had the question of "does he cancel the c&p" it was nerve racking considering how expensive they are !!!! They are wrong for taking your money first .... Usually it's only after . Anyways we didn't feel that type of welcome BUT I realize now even with help of doing it ourself we wouldn't have got that rating without the support dbq that was written by the doc my husband went to from Ree medical! Bc he would've had to go to a c&p and they wouldn't have been so thorough filling it out. The docs he went to were amazing and listened and helpful. initially, I was very happy with my decision with managing my claim. everything seems so promising then they even lowered the price. I went from an 80 to a 90. With everything that I've had and how long it took I honestly would say it's not worth it just work on your own if you're at this point. they never promised me 100 however they were very positive but they would get me there. Five claims were submitted only three were increased. Even the increases were minuscule.. not only that but when I asked what I can do about the decision that I didn't agree with, they referred me to a law firm that tried to charge me $500 +20% of my back pay. This is the worst company to deal with! They're vultures and will take advantage of disabled veterans. Companies such as these prey on us knowing we are desperately trying to increase our rating. The intake is easy, they make paying for their services easy, but when you no longer utilize their services they make it impossible to get a refund. I chose not to submit paperwork for my file, thus, they did ZERO work for my claim. When I realized I would not be able to pay the $3,000, I requested a refund. Placing the first 5 calls were exhausting as I kept getting the runaround about who to speak with, their refund process, and their refusal to transfer/escalate my calls. I was finally advised to contact Grace Lugo. I called her, of course no answer. I emailed her and had to follow up with her 10 days later to which she apologized for her "delayed response." She stated she would process my refund and it would take 72 hours. A month and a half later, I'm still fighting with the company to get my money back! Stacey in the refunds department admitted there was an issue with their system and they never saw my refund request! I was very frustrated at this point and demanded my money back. It is now 11/1 and I was advised it could take up to 14 days to receive my refund because finance has to release it from the day of approval which was only yesterday! To give someone a better idea of how difficult they made this, the refund process goes through 4-5 departments and each department could take however many days. From a consumer stance, it should be relatively easy to get a refund if no services are rendered. Ree Medical claims to want to help veterans but when someone states they're in a financial hardship and would like their money back, Ree will make you jump through so many hoops just to get it back. Almost 2 months later and I still have yet to receive my money! Stay away from this company, they're only of service when you're paying them. An ethical company will operate with integrity no matter if the consumer proceeds or changes their mind. Grace is terrible at following up. I lost 10 days in the process because of her lack of response. She also did not escalate my request or advocate for me. Stacey is wonderful, I wish it was different but they have indefinitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I will advise anyone I know to stay away from this company. read more

For now this will be my rating. It can be subject to upgrade depending on what happens. I started this journey in October and when I spoke with a consultant, before starting, I was told that I could expect an 11 to 12 week process then I was given payment options. Like many of you all, I don't exactly have a ton of cash to pay all at once and so I chose the most manageable option of the 6 monthly payments. Before I decided on this option, I was sure to ask the consultant if I would have to wait for all of my final documents until I made my final payment. I was assured that that would not be the case and that within the 11 to 12 weeks, I would have everything I needed to submit to the VA. At first, everything started like gang busters. A week after I made my first payment, I recieved a request for documents and instructions on how to obtain them. Several weeks after that, I recieved my medical questionnaires which I was prompt on filling out and submitting. While waiting for my medical exam appointment, I had a few questions so I reached out to my navigator, who never responded to my communications. Then, a little more than four weeks later, I had my medical exam. It is now 6 weeks since my medical exam and have yet to recieve any documents to submit to the VA. I reached out to my navigator at four weeks after my exam to find out what to expect and a time frame I could expect my next step. I recieved no response until I reached out to the general customer service email. I was then informed by my navigator that my DBA's are being reviewed and checked but offered no time frame that I could expect the final documents. At this point, I have to assume that I won't recieve them until I make my final payment as I have reached out to my navigator again for a time frame and again I am getting no response. At this point it is looking as though this will be a 6 month process as opposed to an 11 to 12 week process along with the 5 to 6 months the VA takes to review claims. While this is looking like a year long process, I am robbing Peter, to pay Paul, to pay Mary in order to finance this while I have nothing being reviewed by the VA to date. I am realistic and not expecting a miracle increase in my disability compensation, I do hope for some increase but I do know there is no guarantee. This is a long time and money to spend on something not guaranteed. At this point, I have invested too much to quit now. ***UPDATE*** My navigator finally reached out and apparently my DBQ's are being held hostage until I make final payment, despite what my consultant told me on my initial consultation. I was sent an invoice to pay $1440 today when I still have 3 payments left, which I can not afford. So my guess is that I will now have to wait until the end of March until I can have anything submitted and in the meantime I will have to continue to struggle financially with nothing submitted to the VA for review. These consultants really do BS you at the beginning. Instead of 11-12 weeks it will be a year before I know anything. I guess I don't have a choice but to continue because I already invested too much time and money at this pont. I will be down grading my stars though. read more

I have been working with this company for a while now, trying to get my Nexus letter; as a person who was on active duty and a guardsman, I am finding it difficult to work with the VA. I decided to PAY for a Nexus letter from REE medical and started the process before they transitioned to REE. Well, after a lot of back and forth with the rep, I got my Nexus yesterday, and the service dates are incorrect. With that letter states that none of my issues is service-connected because they are not within my service dates. Well, yeah, it says I only served two years! This has been long-winded and frustrating; my old rep was fantastic, but once REE took over, I hardly got any communication from my new rep. I called today requesting a call back to fix my dates and letter, so I will happily update if they help me. As of right now, I would tell you to save your money because this just feels like I have been duped out of A LOT of money. read more

I was rated at 30% (feet & lower back) since my discharge in 1999. I had a good friend call me in 2019 and asked if I'd been reevaluated for an increase. I had not, and he suggested that I contact ReeMedical to see if they could assist me in getting a current re-evaluation. After receiving the info that they requested from me, I had my free 30-minute call to evaluate my situation and the current issues that I was dealing with. I attended my appointment and filed for my increase. Approximately 2 months later, I was bumped up to 90%. Thank the stars for companies out there like ReeMedical. They ARE NOT one of these predatory companies that want XX times your increase if/when one is received. They are out there assisting veterans in the VA claims process. read more

Reaching out to Ree Medical was the best decision I have ever made in my life after I was discharged. I was a little nervous at first seeing some of the few negative reviews, but I have multiple friends who have had a great experience with Ree, so I went with it. I was stuck at 50% but now I'm at a 100%. Cost might seem a little high at first, but you get back more from the back pay alone. Think about it as an initial investment. Heidi Kalis did an amazing job. She was my POC and has answered all of my questions with honesty and without judgement no matter how silly the question may be. My husband was wanting to file a claim and Ree had come recommended by two friends who had positive experiences. I was helping with the process and after talking to a VSO and a couple other companies we chose Ree. In the beginning they were great. The gal we worked with Denise was helpful and responsive; she called regularly and followed up and guided us through every step. That all came to a halt once they received payment and we were transferred to Cory our Ree Medical client representative. At that point everything went to email unless we called him first and then he called back. It became generic prewritten emails that always said the same thing. There was little guidance or even explanation as to what steps that were being taken. Let me be very clear in stating......YOU DO THE WORK! Ree does not do it for you. You are often told "I cannot tell you what to do here". My husband was sent to an exam for his DBQs to be written and that was not what was expected at all either. But again, we tried to trust the process and the experts. However it all came back from the V.A. within 6 days of review as "denied". This also was definitely not some bogus claim, it was very evident physical injury issues from a service connected broken back. Once denied we contacted Ree again for some help and they presented it as "it makes no sense" "we care and are going to get to the bottom of this" .....3 days later another email, this time stating a law firm would now be getting a hold of us for further review and they offer a "special Veteran rate"......MORE MONEY YAY! I am disappointed in the great lack of guidance and communication from our representative and explanation of the steps. I did not pay to have emails sent with instructional videos. I feel we could have done with Ree did for us on our own and I would not recommend nor would I use again. Today we were told they don't help with any of the appeal process either so in my opinion they very much take the money and run! Thanks for nothing. read more

I tried doing my own claim through the VSO which worked at first but only got me to 90%. I was recommended REE Medical back when it was still VetLink and luckily I did not have to switch reps. I stayed with the same Rep: Heidi Kalis, that did a great job from start to finish and made sure I was updated in between. I knew she was one text or phone call away and all my questions were answered promptly. I am grateful that I was able to get my increase without as much stress and trying to figure out everything myself. As a first time mom working a full time job, this was everything I needed. It took a lot of time and patience but the outcome was worth it. The cost with VetLink used to be 5x the increase, but now REE medical has a flat rate of $4895. I did not have to pay anything in advance until my increase was confirmed. Immediately, Heidi called to congratulate me and let me know of the additional benefits I'm now eligible for. She even offered to save her number for questions even though my claim is complete. I recommend REE Medical to anyone to want a stress free experience when filing a claim for increase. read more

REE Medical helped me to get from 80% to 100%. The whole process was about 9 months long but well worth it. They took care of everything from setting up the appointment; to writing the DBQ's properly which is a key component. Then they even guided me through sending and uploading all of the documents. I would highly recommend them. Biggest thing to remember is that everyone's case is different so it could be longer or it could be shorter.
