After taking a 6 year break from dance to have my little ones, I was searching for a well…read moreestablished studio that was welcoming and warm, and that is truly the experience I had from the first encounter. Everyone not only the Ra'atiras but even other dancers and moms welcomed me with hugs and warm smiles. I love that the classes are always fun, challenging, and encourage you to push yourself to do your best. The level of instruction, culture and creativity is amazing I look forward to dancing each week! My daughter decided to try out the Merahi class (4-6yr) and she loved it the teachers are gentle but manage to teach proper dance terms, and give lots of compliments and encouragement. She loves it!

Very professional dance studio, full of joy and soooo clean! Since the moment you step into the dancing room you noticed is very well managed and the owner cares about the dancers and the students. Maybe people go frequently, others just pay as they go. Also I felt very included even though I am far from belong to any Polynesian island and my inability to flex that much. Be aware you will dance barefoot and also you have to wear your hair up. A cute short pareo is a must and they can lend you one there.

You walk in and you are immediately greeted with a smile. The hostess is ready to seat you and…read moreyour party at the next available table. We walked in and the dining area is vast! Like a scene from Crazy Rich Asians (the movie), people laughing, eating, dim sum carts moving around, and bellies getting full. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. The place gets super busy during the AYCE dim sum days but on Fridays, they have a live band and the dining area turns into a dance floor. If you time it right, this is definitely a place to grub and boogey under one roof. Until I see you guys again!!!

I feel I need to do two reviews for this restaurant...the 1st is for "off the menu" (OTM) & the 2nd…read morefor "All-You-Can-Eat" (AYCE). Let's start with OTM-the food selection and quality is very good - 4 Stars...very flavorful, not too salty and plenty of quality filling (we had mostly the shrimp dishes). The AYCE - you get mostly the same menu items except you get NO veggie options...this really sucks...give that veggies are cheap compared to the protein options. They will only bring you 3 dishes at a time and you pretty much need to finish what you ordered before they bring you any more food. If you order a lot of the shrimp dishes first, they won't come back with the shrimp cart again, you will have to chase them down...you do have the option of to order items directly from the kitchen if they are not on the dim sum carts...but they take forever to arrive. I would rate the AYCE - 3 stars. Overall the food is very good but the service sucks...they are very slow to bring you your items and good luck is trying to get a refill on your soda (which is included on the AYCE option)...if you ask for a refill more than once they give you an attitude :((

There was so much to do and see--the kids loved the children's games, the DJ kept the energy high, and the cultural dance performances were absolutely beautiful to watch. A highlight for us was the grasshopper tent, which was such a unique and delightful experience! The food was completely authentic and very reasonably priced. The only real downside was the wait times; the lines for the food vendors were incredibly long. I'd highly recommend the organizers or vendors look into speeding up the ordering/ordering-fulfillment process for next year. Overall, between the great music, gorgeous aesthetics, and rich culture, it was completely worth taking the family out. We will definitely be back!

I went to the 4th annual Lao Food Festival here in Escondido and it was a bit of a letdown and I…read moredoubt I will return unless something changes. I bought a $20 ticket to sample the different vendors, however, this was a huge disappointment. I won't be doing this again. The 1:30pm and 3:30pm tickets were sold out, so I bought the 5:30pm tour. I showed up early around 3:30pm and my ticket was honored and I was given a paper passport to check out the food vendors. First stop I went to was to try out the sugar cane drink vendor, Happicanes, and they told me they ran out of samples. The lady behind me was also disappointed. I did end up buying a sugar cane drink as it was hot out and my total came close to $12. Most of the vendors here had very long lines and some gave you the samples as promised on the passport but each were all very tiny and it wasn't worth $20. And none of the food was mindblowing so that was a letdown. I went to Sue's Kitchen and their samples were visible from the pick up window but the woman working the window told me to get in the long line to wait for very small samples. I decided against it and after I got what I could, I just left the festival. Eight vendors promised 16 samples and I tried out 8 of them after waiting in long lines and none were anything I would go back for. But, I did figure out the mystery sample and it wad to try out grasshoppers and that was neat to try! Tasted pretty good! Anything roasted with sesame oil works! Overall, this festival wasn't what I expected and I doubt I will return. Long lines, and mediocre food definitly won't bring me back. But, it was cool to check it out.
