This was the most marvelous, epic, awe-inspiring circus my family has ever had the opportunity to witness! So unique, such talent, never a slow moment: what a masterpiece to behold. Thank you for coming to visit our area and letting us witness your magic! read more

I hadn't been to Circus Vargas in about 30 years, and visiting again brought back so many wonderful memories of when my parents used to take my siblings and me. The entertainment was fantastic full of fun, laughs, and excitement. It was a much-needed dose of joy! One area for improvement would be the staff selling snacks and food. They seemed a bit dry and unenthusiastic, as if they were just going through the motions. A bit more energy and friendliness would really enhance the overall experience. Thank you, Circus Vargas, for an unforgettable experience. read more

We had a great time. I took my 8yo and we both had a blast. The event was full of acrobats, clowns, tight-rope walkers, lights, music, and of course, motorcycles in a tiny ball (which was wild!). Great event to take your family too - everyone will have a good time. I don't know who said it wasn't family-friendly, as there were tons of kids an no issues. As for the outfits, if you have issues with ice skating costumes, then yes, you may not love these. But everyone is certainly dressed appropriately and to the theme. We bought the cheapest tickets but probably would have bought something a bit more central. You can be high, but I'd aim for the center of the seating. Highly recommended and we'll go again! read more

Absolutely loved this show, it's great for kids and adults and all of the seats are good. The performers are incredible--support your local traveling human-only circus! read more

Very disappointing experience. I do NOT recommend this circus, especially for families with children. I attended with young kids expecting a fun, family-friendly show, but it was completely inappropriate for minors. While the acrobats are clearly talented and skilled, the costumes worn by some of the female performers were extremely revealing -- basically resembling underwear. There were multiple performances with wide leg movements and positions that exposed far more than what children should be seeing. This is not something kids should be exposed to, and there was absolutely no warning about this type of content. Because of this, we ended up leaving halfway through the show. On top of that, the performance itself was boring and not engaging. It definitely did not feel worth the high ticket prices. To make matters worse, the person who sold us the tickets had a rude attitude, and the overall customer service was not welcoming at all. Zero recommendation from me. Completely disappointed and honestly upset that I brought children to what was supposed to be a family event. read more

I appreciate that live animals are not used. I do wish it was more affordable we've gone a few times since 2018 and it's no longer affordable for our family. I just hope all the performers are paid very well. read more

We thought we were going to see a standard circus similar to our childhood. It was way beyond spectacular!! It compares to a Las Vegas show that appeals to both children and adults. Up close and personal. It is a MUST see. read more

Circus Vargus has been my family's annual tradition for 14 years now. They always put on an outstanding show and this year was just as amazing as the others. On top of the show, everyone there is incredibly kind. We always get "the picture" the one in the Circus Vargus sleeve. This year we got there right before the show started and weren't able to do the pic. After the show I was trying to at least just buy a picture sleeve so we could put our own pic in there but they went and got the camera, brought us back in the arena and took the picture to make sure our tradition continued. All Class!!! read more

I attended the Mission Valley show with some discounted tickets. No more animal slavery...yay! It's now all about human acrobatics...awesome! Not quite at the same level as Cirque du Soleil, but there's still a lot of amazing acrobatic talent here that will take your breath away. -Sure glad the jugglers weren't juggling knives! -Archery Lady was amazing. -Acrobatics were great...I felt for the older guys still going at it! -The big rotating thing was scary and awesome, those guys rock! Check it out, its still playing in Mira Mesa and Escondido! read more

It was our girls' (2 and 5yo) first visit to circus and it was amazing!! I was honestly just as entertained as my kids! They were truly skilled professionals and the acts kept us on the edge of our seats. The contortionist was absolutely stunning and graceful. Some of the humor in the comedy skits isn't intended for kids but it was very brief so we didn't mind. The tickets and food prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend! To the people who complained about the it being hot inside the tent, yes it was humid and a bit warm but they did have fans blowing. At the end of the day, it's a tent. If you're expecting a comfortable 68 degrees when the temperature is 100+ degrees outside (something they can't control), then you're better off going to a cirque du soleil and expect a much higher price point with less talent. read more

We saw Circus Vargas in Temecula! It was spectacular! The energy was hype and the acts were world class! The performers are so beautiful and talented! My family and I enjoyed the show, this was our second time, and definitely not our last. It was so exciting, I could not stop clapping, and smiling! Bravo! read more

First off VIP seats are NOT needed. We expected a better view or participation but neither happened . The arena is so small that any seat will be fine. This is more of a musical versus a traditional circus such as Cirque DE Soleil or Ringling Brothers which are far more better. The show plays for 35 minutes then a 20 minute intermission followed by 45 more minutes. The so called clown does all of his antics in the levels behind VIP so you can't even see him unless you turn completey around. We were about to leave after interbut decided to see if it would get better and it didnt. I am surprised of the 5 star reviews due to the lack of entertainment and running time. We would never return to see this it was a huge waste of money. Went to the Roseville show at 12 noon and it was half empty.. Anyway just wait to the local circus comes around and yu will enjoy that m7ch better,. read more

Non-stop fun and action. Incredible for the family. An unforgettable experience. From beginning to end. Circus Vargas and its incredible performers leave you in awe as they showcase their incredible skills and that which you thought was impossible. Thank you Circus Vargas and performers for providing me and my family with such a beautiful experience. read more

My family saw a Circus Vargas performance last night in Mission Valley, and we came away awestruck and extremely impressed. The ringmaster sung the most impressive National Anthem I had heard in years. In addition, the clown, a young man from Italy, was the perfect foil for the ringmaster and the amazing saxophone player. I would refer to them by name, but the sound quality when their names were spoken was not optimal. Overall, the vibe was one of great audience, participation, intimacy, and friendly banter. This was well worth the price of the ticket, and I recommend everybody go see it. My grandchildren and family enjoyed it tremendously. Mike Normal Heights read more

Took my nephews for a birthday present (7&4) and we all loved it. I would look over after a particularly cool stunt and their jaws were literally dropped. The food and toys weren't that expensive. We got 2 cotton candies, a water, slushy, popcorn and light up toy for 45 bucks. But yeah all the acts were amazing and it is totally worth seeing! read more

My family and I went and were so impressed!!! We love the entertainment, energy and atmosphere-- the tent was authentic circus and the entertainers were skilled and very friendly. The theme is around the world with all the entertainers being from all over the world themselves. The acts were daring and impressive! We will definitely go again next time they're in town! Our ages ranged from 12-70. read more

it was amazing show, unbelievable! wonderful! full of of emotion, full of excitement. I want everyone to see this magica show. Blessings to the whole team of Circus Vargas for giving this gift to all humans to the community read more

AMAZING SHOW! We saw Circus Vargas in Lakewood back in Nov/2022 and just saw them again tonight in Downey. I was worried it would be the same show, but it actually had a couple of new acts! Amazing talent, funny, and entertaining for the whole family. Definitely worth EVERY penny. They also have Johnathan Iverson Lee as their Ringmaster--that should tell you something about the quality of the show. I've seen other "traveling circus" shows, but this one is definitely the best. Take the family, you won't regret it! read more

We enjoyed ourselves very much at this circus! Every act displayed results of a dedicated staff and soooo much practice! They do incredible feats. The costumes were also very well done. The adults in our group were impressed; plus it was an additional bonus to watch the grandchildren be thrilled. Bravo. read more

This has got to be the worst circus I've ever seen. It has just gone downhill over the years to the point where I can't tell if anything performed is really a skill or a trick they taught themselves out back three days ago. Not funny. Not impressive. Just scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to a circus performance. read more

Really enjoyed this. Didn't know what to expect. Kids loved it. The performers were really impressive.

Took my daughter this weekend. Wasn't expecting to enjoy it myself. It was a great show. Well worth the ticket price. Show is about 2 hours long and I was thoroughly impressed and entertained the entire time. Very well put together which you wouldn't expect from a traveling mall parking lot circus but they are the real deal. Did not feel cheesey or cheap at all. read more

Wasn't sure about going to the circus, but I had never taken my kids before (8 and 6). So I decided to give it a go. Was worth every dollar spent. Had a good time from start to finish. It had daring acrobatics, death defying leaps, humor and audience participation. Would recommend to all ages. read more

A great night of entertainment! I love how they change it up...we often come to these pop up tent circus performances and loved this one. The duo that maintained the crowd were hilarious and great! The Ringmaster was very talented and on point!!! Overall great show and I'd recommend for anyone that wants to change the scenery up a little. Perfect date night with or without the kiddos. Reason for not giving it the 5 stars was primarily due to concessions not having alcoholic beverages. read more

I took my two young daughters and they loved it! The entertainers are beyond talented. I haven't been to the circus since I was a kid and was wondering how it would be without the animals but it was even better than I remember. Will definitely be back next time they are in town. read more

If I could give a zero I would. It's not family friendly the main conductor is a short guy with a weird hairstyle that was twerking and doing some odd things which are not appropriate for children. As well the same weird guy did an acting portion with 3 audience members that had some ideas of cheating, killing and that kind of stuff. Also they sent my family and I four "free" tickets and when we got there they made us pay for each ticket. They also said online and on the phone there were no seats but when we went there with at least 50 seats open.I went 4 years before this time it was good but the acts and the general show downgraded greatly. Overall I would not recommend whatsoever. read more

Amazing Circus! We went as a family tonight. It was absolutely amazing! Not a dull moment. Every preformer was multi talented. I was perfect for the whole family! I look forward to going next year. The price was beyond fair. The only thing is no fault to them the tent is a bit warm for some, if it's a hot day. Bring water. read more

Cool tricks and lots of talent. But, sometimes, the girls were wearing inappropriate clothes (thongs), and their butts were totally exposed. There were small "raunchy" parts that bothered me. There was a guy that "entertained" the crowd in between the performances, and he was inappropriate... dancing grossly etc. I wouldn't go again. This show is not family friendly. There is plenty of talent there to not need to resort to stripper moves. The girls are beautiful and don't need to dress like prostitutes. Cover those butts! read more

Went on a Monday, was in the area and we decided it was a nice way to spend the evening. Found it by chance. The production value was high, it felt like the crowd wasn't full enough for the quality they were giving out, but it was a Monday so hopefully they sell out weekends because its worthy of being sold out. There was many thrilling stunts and great acts, but our favorite was the first; the strongman was doing a rope acrobatic to a Greatest Showman song and it was an impressive combo of strength and grace. Many acts had grace, others had strength, but his routine had both. Majority of them are doing stunts that are life risking, support them by showing up. It'll be worth it! read more

I was blown away by how amazing the people were. You think our circus is corny, but no they were amazing.

This was a fun circus! Haven't been to one in a while, last time they had animals. 3 of my 4 kids had a blast! My 8 and 10 year olds loved it and thought it was the best ever. My 5 year old felt it was too loud to enjoy (seat positions matter in this regard) but enjoyed the popcorn, cotton candy, and lighted toys. My 3 year old enjoyed it as much as possible as a 3 year old. Ended up saying it was fun even though there was plenty of times I had to get up. I personally thought it was good entertainment and something to remember as a family (good or bad). I appreciated the lower cost seats I purchased though the speakers were close. The tent is not too large so all seats are essentially good. Went to the show in Mission Valley. read more

Attended the Circus Vargas show April 2, 2023 with the whole family (5 grandkids) and everyone had a great time. The performers/performances were very entertaining; keeping the kids engaged and delighted. The food, drinks and toys were kind of pricey but when your kids are highly excited its well worth the great experience they had. We all want to go again. read more

This was our third year going to the circus and it will probably be our last. This year, there were no acrobats or flying trapeze. It was like they shortened the whole circus but didn't change the prices. Really bizarre because I haven't heard anyone else complain about it but I'm not sure why anyone would pay $75 a ticket to have them skip the reason why people go to the circus. Our kids were so disappointed. read more

Great show for all ages. I loved it and my grand daughter who is 7 thought it was so cool!

Really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, one of the acts was not appropriate for kids and families. Scantily clad woman wearing tongs, spreading her legs wide open and doing sexy acts with ropes with seductive music. Seemed more like for a strip club than a circus. One of the parents tried to distract his son from watching. Other performances were enjoyable. Most exciting were the 2 wheels, motorcycle globe and of course the trapeze. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Circus for the kids. read more

Circus Vargas is one of the best things my family has done in a loooong time. The acrobats do everything- taking pics which you can get a copy of in a cute paper frame for ten bucks, socialize with the crowd, etc. All in addition to the stunts which are amazing! Y they make it look easy, yet you and I both know we can't do a triple twisting flip onto someone else's back! I am hooked and will be back yearly. read more

Disappointed with this show. Many inappropriate acts (trashy) that should not be seen by children. I regret taking my little ones and should have gone somewhere else instead. I would not recommend this to anyone. read more
