The first few months were great until they changed management and it all went down hill. The water is turned off 7 times in 2 years for days at a time due to water main breaks. They have planned repairs of this but never notify the residents of when the water will be on/off. At one point the management tried to blame the City of Stow for "increasing the water pressure," however, when I contacted Stow's water department they said that wasn't true. Aside from the major water issues they have, parking is atrocious. If you do not work a 9-5 job, you will not get a parking space anywhere near your apartment. Some residents have multiple vehicle/trailers that NEVER move and management does nothing to stop this. Weekends are the worst because apparently nobody leaves and parking is always filled. If something breaks, the service men come out quickly-- which would be a good thing if they were able to fix it on the first trip out. Management seems to enjoy leaving passive aggressive notes regarding noise and pet waste. However when it comes to actually doing something about these problems they are no where to be found and will not return phone calls. If there is an issue and you need an answer, you literally have to corner them during business hours and hope they aren't on a smoke break to receive an answer. We have lived in numerous apartments in the Akron area and have received better service at apartments half the rent than this place. I would NEVER recommend anyone live here unless they want a hassle.

But really, that much we knew was sorta smart. However, our first big mistake was going around trying to schedule all of our own house showings. This is a nightmare. We would look online, find a house that we thought we might like, fill out the form on that website, repeat for 5 other houses and then have 6 agents all calling us back. What a mess. So when we finally wised up, we got extremely lucky and were put in touch with Patty. She is from Howard Hanna and has been an agent for 6+ years now. First off, Patty was always very accomodating. She took us around on weekends, weekdays after work, days off, whenever we wanted really. She had some other clients at the time but I can't recall a situation where we were ever in conflict with any of her other clients. Next, she wasn't pushy at all. In fact, she took us around for about 3 months solid, probably 3 weekends a month. And throughout it all, she never pushed us to go towards one house or another; she always encouraged us to keep really good track of what we liked or didn't like and then helped us pare down our search options to other houses which might suit us. She also was extremely knowledgeable about the business environment. She obviously pointed out the positive position we were in as first time home buyers in this down real estate market, but she also was a voice of reason, making sure that when we made an offer it would not offend the seller nor be too outrageous so that the seller would not even consider it. We found a house after 3 months and this is when Patty was the most helpful for us. As first time home buyers, we figured we could have stumbled onto the right house after a certain amount of time, but we never would have been able to close on a house as we did without her help. Throughout the inspection and testing process, she pointed us to people she had worked with before and trusted (with the list often being 4 or more providiers long). She was tireless in making sure we kept on track to hit our closing date without any hiccups. She stayed on the phone with me into the evening, talking over our options and making sure my questions were answered. And when the entire deal nearly fell apart due to stubborness on the seller's part (OK, mine too), she wholeheartedly encouraged me to walk away from the deal if I thought this was the best course of action (after we said we wanted to walk they not-so-surprisingly gave in). She was a guiding voice throughout the entire process, but never overbearing or pushy (a misconception I had about real estate agents before Patty). Overall, I don't think we could have lucked out any more with agent than we did. I would highly suggest Patty for any first time homebuyers or any experienced buyers for that matter. She is highly qualified and a great agent to have on your side.

    Having to change my review again. In April I was asked if I was going to renew my lease (ended June…read more30) and I asked them what the increase would be. I never received a response. I assumed my rent was not going to increase since I heard nothing. My lease expired at the end of June and I continued to pay my regular amount for July. Imagine my surprise when I came back from vacation to a notice that my rent was $150 short because they upped it $150! Management claims that they sent me a letter on April 27 by mail and attached to my door. Having a letter in your computer is not the same as proving you sent it to me ! I explained I never received either and I would not have agreed to paying $1400 a month and would've opted to leave. We are now and he said she said situation with rent. I can't afford and a lease I can't get out of. $150 a month increase after living here one year is a little excessive especially when you don't have proof that I received the notice. If you're going to increase someone's lease that much you should have new paperwork signed! I'm contacting the Housing Authority to see if this is legal Edit: by state law, since they excepted my rent at the old amount during the new lease period, and no new lease was signed, that should be what I'm paying. But I'm not risking eviction or fees, so I'm paying the new amount till I can move out next year.

    Dont move here!!! Price is way too high for an outdated apartment. You can go find a way better…read moreplace that had hard wood floors, stainless appliances for the same price and a way better services!! We put in an order for a broken appliance it took them 5 days to come fix it!!!
