(Last visited 4/26/2022.) Working at my company's headquarters for a couple of weeks and a…read moreco-worker of mine mentioned that this place has AMAZING pizza and some good wings. So... I came here for lunch... then again a few days later! Lol. Atmosphere/Appearance: Located in what I thought was Excelsior, is actually Tonka Bay right off of some water is this gem. It's in a plaza with a few other businesses and a part of a private parking lot. The inside isn't too crazy. You walk in and you are greeted by grand smells of pizza cooking in their huge steel ovens! The menu is overhead and the dining area is to the left. I remember a lot of exposed wood, plastic benches and just a classic looking pizza joint. Service: I can't remember the young lady's name, but Sydney or Candace come to mind. Lol. Whoever it was that took care of us was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. However, all you do is just place your order at the counter, take the number they give you and go sit down then wait for you food to be brought out to you. Drinks are self-serve as well. Food: Throughout my visits I've had the chance to check out 3 of their wing flavors and a couple of toppings on their pizzas. The wow factor here is about big the slices are. They literally don't even fit onto a single plate. The edges hang over rim of the plate. Lol. So for lunch you can order the pizza + salad combo and it totally fills you up. The wings are also enormous and quite delicious I might add! I'd definitely get them again. Cajun and the Buffalo were my favorite, but the BBQ wasn't too bad either. Value: A single order of wings will give you 6 and it'll cost you $10.00. Double your order for $16.50. Like I mentioned, they wings are huge so I think this is a pretty good value. Any time a day you can get a cheese slice + salad + drink for only $12.50. Toppings will cost extra of course. In conclusion, I loved this place. However, coming for lunch and eating heavy makes for a slow rest of the work day. Lol. I ain't trippin' though, sometimes that's what's necessary!

We still like the pizza, but having to spend 30 minutes or more just trying to place an order? No thanks. Station Pizza it is. See ya, Joey.

My group got in with only about 40 min until close and I really expected to be either refused or told to hurry up because of the time. I would have understood that too since no one enjoys being held late. What I found was a crew happy to greet us and telling us to take the time that we needed to make some first-time visit decisions. There were still a couple of tables occupied when we were seated but within about 20 minutes, we had the place to ourselves. Nevertheless, we were never told to rush and even when the check was brought to me, our server told me with a genuine tone, "no rush". The pizza is from a brick oven and is best characterized as having a crispy, cracker-like crust with a red sauce bordering on the sweet side of the spectrum. The portions and toppings were fresh, generous, and appealing to the eye upon delivery. Definitely no complaints about the food! I really liked that they have an affordable and approachable wine list. We had a bottle of DOCG level Chianti for $29. Sure, the wines on the list are not going to win any worldwide gold medals or be on a collectible list but this is casual pizza and not a Michelin starred destination. You might be able to go to a spot with a fancy expensive wine list every few months. I could go here a few times per week. Let that sink in. I have not seen a decent bottle of wine in a restaurant at the pricing I saw here in quite some time! Kudos to Olive's for being affordable! For a first time visit, I loved several things here. I would be happy to go back for their pizza and wine list. But I am most happy to go back to support their pleasant and professional front of house staff. They definitely deserve to be rewarded.

The flavors were well balanced, the toppings were generous, and there was plenty of melty cheese in every bite. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality and portion size.

Free parking right behind in the East lot, it was already more than half full at 10am. They had just opened and there were already a few tables occupied. It felt busy and maybe they didn't have enough staff for that time. There were only 2 staff taking orders. We stayed inside as it was a very hot day. We've been there for dinner before and always liked the modern cozy interiors. Our server took our drink orders and gave us a complimentary order of cardamom donuts, as if they knew it would be a while. The brewed coffees came out pretty fast but he didn't come back to take our order until almost 10:30, when we finally flagged him down. The food didn't take long but he forgot to put in my MILs side order of bacon so that didn't come out until we were mostly done eating. They had a good breakfast selection and lunch was available as well. We ordered: Salmon Eggs Benedict French Toast Avocado Toast Pesto Frittata Grilled Chicken sandwich Crispy chicken sandwich Everyone was happy with their food and we're happy to find another brunch place to take visitors to.

Oh how I long for the pizza I had in Buffalo NY, just don't remember the name of the pizza joint!!!) So Back to Gina Maria's - I like everything on my pizza, I think anyone can make one topping pizza sing - ie pepperoni, to make 4 work well is like what it take to have a good band, a lot harder to get proportions right and what not, and then to load a pie up like they can on their super pie and still be able to taste each and every ingredient means they are doing something very right. The ingredients seem high quality and in probably over 100 pizzas from this shop for my family and friends I have had to turn 1 away - I think they messed up the delivery, wrong toppings and over cooked - had it not been over cooked we could have lived with the toppings, it was pizza after all! When I called they offered to bring out a new one or give me a credit on the next order - we opted for the credit, (we had ordered too much already and everyone was already full) When I made the next order, they made sure I got a free Large pizza - yeah I will be back again and I promise to share my other favorite pizza joints in the twin cities and beyond!
