Lucky me! I was sooooo very hungry, and here in front of me is a bruschetta. Not some tourist trap, looking around, Redoro caters to locals. See, it pays to leave the San Francisco equivalent of Fisherman's Wharf.
I got a nice seat facing the passing parade. It's a tiny place.
I counted 30 different bruschettas on the menu, as well as some salads, 1st & 2nd courses, coffees, wines & drinks. A clue that you can linger.
Beware the Yelp listings for lunch. I walked a 2 mile circle looking for a locals restaurant. I picked three 4.5 star places on Yelp. Number 1: said they close at 2:30, was turned away at 1:30 even though there were visible tables inside & out. No lunch for you. (I wasn't too keen on horse meat dishes anyway. On to # 2 which said they were open all day until 10p. They were so closed there was a truck blocking the entrance. Ok, getting desperate, number 3, same. Closed.
Right next door was this hopping place selling bruschettas. Yeah, me. I couldn't be happier.
Completely enjoyed the bruschetta parmigiana with grilled aubergines, mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, flaked Parmesan, & house brand Redoro extra virgin olive oil & balsamic vinegar.
