    The Gnochi.

Recommended by Rick Steve's guidebook. (With good reason.) This ended up being our first serious sit-down meal of the trip, due to a reservation snafu in Milan. Enoteca con Grande is an exceptional restaurant. We had a nice Valpolicella red from among their titanic wine selection. They served us some savory gnocchi, as well as a delectable pasta amuse bouche. This was followed with beef cheeks in wine sauce, which were delicious and as easy to cut as warm butter. The dessert was a floral-shaped pastry, which was a hit with the SO.

CANGRANDE 2019JUL31 Friendly adaptive service, choose inside for relief from hot and busy street. Something for everyone on menu, veggie, fish, beef, traditional dishes. Bring a friend to share extensive wine offerings! Perfect pasta, texture and flavors... Wonderful! I omit pricing bc it changes often.

Complimentary warm bread and a plate of 'kitchen welcome Parmesan cheese'

Depends on what time you go, food service can be very long wait. If you don't want long wait, you can try to ask the meal to come out fast as possible to avoid any frustration. Food was great. I love that they serve a basket of warm bread and keep refilling with each dish when it's served. Complimentary pieces of parmesan as welcome plate from the kitchen is nice start. Gnocchi was good but quite different from what i had all over the world. I felt the gnocchi was overcooked as it was baked and therefore, this isn't my recommendation. Pumpkin ravioli is highly recommended. Wine list is big but a bit more pricier than other restaurants nearby. Maybe because i was alone or ordered quite a lot, the owner man gave me a free glass of grappa (or lemoncello but i chose grappa) with a plate of cookie. Overall, good service and good food. *Closed on Wednesdays!!

OUTSTANDING! Quite simply one of the best and most memorable meal experiences we've had. And that comes from a couple that eats out a lot. The food most importantly was outstanding, while the service and ambience were both on point. We had the octopus salad along with the ricotta and truffle oil gnocchi to start, followed with the beef cheek for our main with a few culinary surprises along the way. With 2 glasses of wine the final bill was €100 which was very reasonable for truly exceptional food and fine dining. The service was excellent - attentive, warm and friendly - and the restaurant is nestled away in an alley way just a stone throw from the ancient arena. This meal made our Verona trip. Highly recommend.

Exquisite buffala caprese--- sweetly divided up once he found out we would be sharing.

Superb cuisine and hospitality at Cangrande! Simone simultaneously treated us like best friends and with impeccable service. He clearly loves his work-- the passion is evident through his fun and engaging personality AND the pride he takes in watching others experience joy through the food he brings out. This place was moderately priced for such high level taste and presentation. Everything we enjoyed exceeded our expectations. The location was just a few steps away from the Piazza Bra and Arena, yet it felt intimate and local. Simone was the best part though. You will love this place. We wished we had discovered it before our last day!! We will definitely return.

Amazing food for a two euro rated restaurant! We had the duck, the hemp pasta, hummus, and the blanco mousse dessert. Service was great though timing was off for things like bread and espresso. We loved it and highly recommend esp for price.

We had a wonderful dinner here this is fine dining still within the sound of tourist hubbub of piazza Bra.

Intro: On our first full day in Verona, we were looking for a lunch spot before our reservation at…read moreJuliet's House. Osteria del Bugiardo was located in a good area so we made our way over to this wine bar. Service (2.5/5): Confusing system. There was a wait for a table but no hostess outside. We eventually talked to someone and she said that while there's no list, she will remember our faces and let us know when a table is ready. Not the most efficient system but we waited about 10 minutes to be seated at the bar. Our waiter took care of us pretty well after we got in. Ambiance (3.5/5): Your typical wine bar. Nice ambiance. The only downside for me is that seating at the bar consisted of bar stools. Without back support. Which I have always hated and which hurts my back. It's also pretty tight in there when they're at capacity. Drinks (4/5): Since this is a wine bar, you know what to order. We had glasses of rose. Not the heaviest pour but the price was solid. If you're not looking for wine, they also have things like Aperol Spritz. Food (4/5): You won't find hearty fare here but you will be able to munch on a lot of small plates. I'm talking things like mini sandwiches, croquettes, meatballs, salads, etc. Which is exactly what we did. We shared a couple of tapas between the two of us. It was filling and did the job. I wasn't stuffed but it was good and on the healthier side. Overall: Osteria del Bugiardo is one of the most popular restaurants on Yelp in Verona and it's located in the heart of the city.
