We rented two spots and they were side by side, which was a plus for the grandkids. Even though the weekend was rainy for more than 50% of the time, the kids still enjoyed it. My 6 yo grand-daughter loved the two slides down into the lake. We prefer RV sites at Lake Murray but would stay here again if no spots are available there. Truly the only downfall is that it backs up to I-35 and you have the highway noise. Otherwise it was a good, safe place for kids and dogs. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Located right in the park there was a nice convenient place to relax at night after a long day of being outside. Number 2 was that there were so many things to do in the park we were never left wondering where we wanted to go or what we wanted to do. Ron who rented us the cabin was so helpful and pointed us in the direction of some maps, the waterfall, and even a cool abandon old Castle that was a short hike away. We are not one to hike very often, however this was a great place to getaway and unwind from the hustle of work. So if you are not planning a beach vacation and are looking to mix it up a bit maybe a cabin in the woods might be your thing this year.

My kids love going to Turner Falls more than going to the beach. The river is within walking distance to the cabins and it's so convenient. I love that the park is patrolled by police, it just makes you feel extra safe especially with having your kids with you. The owner of the cabins is such a nice guy, he is always there to help make your stay comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The first animals you drive up on are Arctic Foxes that looked sad to be there, even their "about me" plaque picture was them standing in snow but it was 89° in May when we visited and they were just looking half dead. If this is a state or family ran park- they clearly don't care to spend the money to update it. The women's restroom has 7-10 stalls, only 2 now work with black and white last second printed signs saying "flush twice" with painters roller pans underneath- I assume to catch water? But the bathrooms were lowkey flooding anyway. I feel so bad for the pretty high school looking aged girls that work there. They had great attitudes but to work in a place like that is unfair to them. My family and I will never come back here, they need to donate all of their animals to the brand new animal drive-thru park in Hochatown, Oklahoma. That company cares about their zoo!!
