The Cope Villas are some of the best cabins in the Turner Falls Park area. When we were first deciding on where we would like to stay in the Arbuckle Mountains there were many factors to consider. Number 1 proximity to the park, we didn't want to be exhausted from a long day of hiking only to have to drive a long way to call it a night. But this Villa was awesome! Located right in the park there was a nice convenient place to relax at night after a long day of being outside. Number 2 was that there were so many things to do in the park we were never left wondering where we wanted to go or what we wanted to do. Ron who rented us the cabin was so helpful and pointed us in the direction of some maps, the waterfall, and even a cool abandon old Castle that was a short hike away. We are not one to hike very often, however this was a great place to getaway and unwind from the hustle of work. So if you are not planning a beach vacation and are looking to mix it up a bit maybe a cabin in the woods might be your thing this year.

I tried to put zero stars and those that gave this cabin four or five stars I would hate to see where you live. This was a horrible, horrible experience. We stayed for four hours and were home before dark after renting it for two days. We gladly forfeit the money to never ever go back again. I would rather sleep in the pick up or in a tent than the cabins that this individual owns. Gross, bedbugs, dirty, absolutely false advertising. Even the park employees that know this man even make fun of him when we checked in.

Cope Cabins are by far the BEST cabins in the park that we could see. My wife, my 9 year old daughter, and myself were shocked how beautiful, clean, updated and roomy the cabin was. And how HUGE the "completly" furnished deck was!! What a gorgeous view it provided overlooking the river. Prime location for everything in the park. Such a beautiful experience. Also Ron Cope who owns the cabin was seriously the nicest and most helpful person. I got us lost getting to the camp and text Ron, he called back in seconds and guided me to the cabin. He checked in to see how it was, and asked how the trip was after the stay. You just don't get that type of customer service these days. I definitely recommend to anyone!! We saw many cabins and kept thinking wow ours is soo much nicer. I actually met the owner of some other cabins and asked how much his were (which were smaller, not as good shape, not updated, and found out ours was cheaper!! His costs were a rip off! Hate to say that but it just proved to us how nice and fair Cope Cabins are. Definitely 100% recommend Cope Cabins to anyone wanting to choose turner falls.

    Beautiful view!

Very clean and comfortable cabin. The view was amazing! Everything was better than expected. Lots of places to explore. The owner, Ron was more than accommodating and helped make this trip memorable for the entire family. He was always quick to respond to any questions. The kids described it as "the BEST spring break ever."

Good clean cabin close to Honey Creek. Working kitchen for meals, and nice fire pit for hanging out and cooking s'mores!

Cabins were to primitive for the price I was charged and located too far from the attractions.

Cons: DIRTY CARPET (carpets and rentals don't mix), only one burner worked on the stove top and it took forever to warm up ( would not boil water), no oven, the front door was really hard to open, no outdoor lighting or outdoor plugs, very small grill, the fireplace was permanently sealed off with a piece of plywood, no fire pit, refrigerator kind of acted up some of the fruits and vegetables for freezing, dirty curtains around the beds, the cooking utensils were not what i expected... we had to go buy a larger skillet and silverware no coffee pot but a very old microwave that we did not use, make sure you bring TP! Think of this as if you are camping in a camper or tent... bring everything you would need just keep in mind the plus side of having indoor plumbing and an air conditioner with a heater! Things we were thankful that we brought: Grill lights, Solar string lights, radio, extension cord, knife, cutting board, toilet paper, paper towels , cleaning supplies, trash bags and towels, sheets, pillows and blankets. We had a great time and plan on coming back! Literally a Mile away from Turner falls. We just felt like the cabin had a lot of potential that was being neglected. Little things could make it so much nicer.

Each cabin has two window units (one down stairs and one upstairs) with two old ceiling fans on top floor. Cabin 5's A/C were working excellent (very cold) but Cabin 6's A/C's were not working, they were blowing out hot air. We called Mr. Kiser twice and he didn't answer. The Wi-Fi did not work either. The cabins were clean and the beds were comfortable. But in the summer with 100 plus degree temps and no A/C working makes your stay awful. The coffee maker as so dirty and the handles on the fridge looked like they had not been cleaned in some time. There was another camper there in another cabin, we thought it was Mr. Kiser but it wasn't. We asked her to call him for us an guess what.... He picked up when she called. This is the only way we got to talk to him about the A/C's for Cabin 6. He didn't want to hear our concerns nor come out to look at the A/C's. We lost respect for him after this call. We will not be going back.

You're a bit at the mercy of whoever is there. A lot of people were there for the day backed up to a covered spot and blaring music. There was a depressing amount of trash around. The castles are neat and after doing some web searching we found some history about them (not offered by the park itself which is odd). Some areas feel pretty unsafe. The store just sells towels, $2 water shoes for $20 and life vests. No swimming allowed today (it's still winter and because of flooding) but a lot of people were in various areas of the river. The bathrooms were spread around the upper areas and I think mostly for campers and cabin folks. No one is policing anything though. The ports potties were rank.
