Cons: DIRTY CARPET (carpets and rentals don't mix), only one burner worked on the stove top and it took forever to warm up ( would not boil water), no oven, the front door was really hard to open, no outdoor lighting or outdoor plugs, very small grill, the fireplace was permanently sealed off with a piece of plywood, no fire pit, refrigerator kind of acted up some of the fruits and vegetables for freezing, dirty curtains around the beds, the cooking utensils were not what i expected... we had to go buy a larger skillet and silverware no coffee pot but a very old microwave that we did not use, make sure you bring TP! Think of this as if you are camping in a camper or tent... bring everything you would need just keep in mind the plus side of having indoor plumbing and an air conditioner with a heater! Things we were thankful that we brought: Grill lights, Solar string lights, radio, extension cord, knife, cutting board, toilet paper, paper towels , cleaning supplies, trash bags and towels, sheets, pillows and blankets. We had a great time and plan on coming back! Literally a Mile away from Turner falls. We just felt like the cabin had a lot of potential that was being neglected. Little things could make it so much nicer.

Each cabin has two window units (one down stairs and one upstairs) with two old ceiling fans on top floor. Cabin 5's A/C were working excellent (very cold) but Cabin 6's A/C's were not working, they were blowing out hot air. We called Mr. Kiser twice and he didn't answer. The Wi-Fi did not work either. The cabins were clean and the beds were comfortable. But in the summer with 100 plus degree temps and no A/C working makes your stay awful. The coffee maker as so dirty and the handles on the fridge looked like they had not been cleaned in some time. There was another camper there in another cabin, we thought it was Mr. Kiser but it wasn't. We asked her to call him for us an guess what.... He picked up when she called. This is the only way we got to talk to him about the A/C's for Cabin 6. He didn't want to hear our concerns nor come out to look at the A/C's. We lost respect for him after this call. We will not be going back.

Lost Lake Lodge is one of many lodges run by Premier Lake Property.  Our stay did not get off to…read morethe best of starts.  One of the big selling points to the people in our party was the hot tub.  When we got there, we found out that the hot tub was broken and had been broken for a while.  This information was not given to us even though someone spoke with the manager a day or two before.  After many texts we were given $40 off per day and then $100 off the total.  We could also go use the hot tub next door for one day.  The hot tub was not a big selling point for me so I voted to stay and stay we did.  This lodge (2244 Sunshine) has a lot of potential but needs a few repair and upgrades to get a four or five star rating.  I will touch on each one in the rest of the review.  Let's start with the cabin.  The living room is very spacious.  There is a large sectional sofa in one area.  The area over by the tv has two small sofas and a recliner.  Some of the kids in the group elected to sleep on the sofas.  In between the two sofa areas is the table with six chairs.  I think for a cabin this size the table could be a little bigger but there is seating at the bar and two tables outside on the deck.  There are three bedrooms.  One bedroom has a king bed and the other two have full beds.  Only one of the bedrooms has a bathroom (one of the full bed rooms) and it has a sink and garden tub.  We stayed in the room with the tub.  Our mattress is in serious need of being replaced.  We both woke up with our backs hurting each morning.  I did not hear any complaints from the other bedrooms.  Bathrooms: There is only one full bathroom.  It has a sink, shower and toilet.  There is one other toilet in the lodge and it is located in the utility room.  There is also a sink and fridge in there with the washer/dryer.  This place could really use another shower.  The garden tub has an attachment to shower but it can make quite the mess.  I tried that one morning but it was really cold in there and the window unit heater did not work.  This room with the garden tub was built on after and has mostly windows, so it will be cold in the winter and hot in the summer.  The lodge is equipped with dishes, silverware, pots and pans, and cooking utensils.  They provide pods for the dishwasher but we did not have enough for the whole stay which was three nights.  They also did not provide us with Kleenex. Let's get on to the outdoors and activities.  Out front there is a ping pong table which the kids enjoyed very much.  A dart board was on the wall but no darts were provided.  There was also what used to be a volleyball net.  Now it is just a string with no net.  Out back the deck leads down to a fire pit, hammock, and grill.  The fire pit was nice and we took advantage of that two of the nights.  I really enjoyed sitting around the fire.  The hammock was also nice to relax in.  The grill is really small and if you are trying to cook for a lot of people, it might take a while.  It is also charcoal grill and you need to bring your own charcoal.  The deck also leads down to the pier.  The stairs down to the pier can be a little dangerous with larger than normal step downs.  The pier is on a "lake" which I put in quotes because it is more like a large pond than a lake.  We tried fishing but didn't get anything the whole time we were there.  We didn't see any fish until the last day when the waters were calm and you could see some really small fish.  The lake is catch and release but that wasn't a problem since we didn't catch anything.  Near the pier were two canoes and a kayak.  One of the canoes only had one seat, the other two were broken..  The other canoe was in good condition with three seats.  The kayak seemed to be in good condition but we did not try it since there was no kayak paddle provided.  The utility room indoors contained two good aluminum paddles, one wooden paddle, and one broken wooden paddle.  We complained about the broken paddle and they delivered another good aluminum one.  Canoeing on the lake was fun if you were lucky to be in the good canoe.  If not you had to sit of the floor of the broken one.  We tried fishing off of the canoe once in a different part of the "lake" but didn't even get a bite.  Several of the people around us had pedal boats.  We asked to borrow one and everyone had fun doing that. We wish our cabin included one. The area:  This is near two small towns so there isn't a whole lot to do but we enjoyed our outings.  First day we went out to Turner Falls. The hiking was good and the falls were really nice, small but pretty.  There is a fee to get into the park but you can stay all day or leave and come back within the day.  The next day we went to the Chickasaw Cultural Center.  I also really enjoyed this one.  It was free to get in and you can walk around and experience and learn about the Chickasaw culture.  We probably would not stay at this cabin again unless necessary repairs were made.
