The former Steinmart which I've never been as well. A massive storefront that house amazing vintage pieces, both apparel and furniture. There's plenty of parking out front. Walking in I didn't know what to expect besides seeing what the post online was. Let me say, it was a major shock but in a massive GOOD way. Shopping Mecca for all you vintage lover. Right at the front is the cashier which the gentleman working was a massive gem. The sweetest and friendliest. The layout of the place is an open storefront. Different vendors I believe that house their goods. Just walking through will take some time as there's literally something that will catch your eyes. Also located right at the front, a charcuterie mini truck. How cute to have something like that. Next to that is a specialty market which offers amazing wine options and cocktail mixes and liquor. Treats and more treats to accompany what you like to drink. A cute place with the vibe of a world market and specialty store. Walking through, there's so much to see. One of a kind art pieces to art deco, MCM, traditional and so much more. But if you're looking for clothes, it's heaven here. The options are endless. If you're a vintage lover, look no further. Racks and racks of amazing pieces. Just browsing the area took a while as something constantly was catching my eyes. I believe it's both local designer that have a storefront there as well. I could be wrong on that. It's a big open concept but I did notice some staff sitting at their areas so I assume it's their storefront. Anyways, it's amazing. Wither you're looking for something unique to vintage to up to date trends. You will find some amazing pieces here. Designer labels of all kinds are here. Shoes galore if your a shoe whore which I was salivating over...lol.... Just one thing after another. They do have fitting rooms scattered throughout for you. The employees was the sweetest. I'm not sure how many there are but the ones I've encountered were dolls. Imagine Fred Segal meets Dover Street with a mix of Paper Bag Princess. New meets old with a major twist. This place has it all. I'm very glad to have found this and will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone.

And then--cue the dramatic music--a 50-foot mannequin greeted me at the entrance like some fabulous fashion goddess welcoming me into another dimension. I was in a state of pure fashion bliss. And then I entered PSBS. And that, my friends, is where the novela began. I was browsing, looking at merchandise, minding my own business, when I approached the counter because I had a question. Suddenly, the cashier, "Chris," began shouting: "DON'T SOLICIT ME! DON'T SOLICIT ME!" Excuse me? I wasn't soliciting anyone. I was literally trying to ask a question. The entire interaction escalated so quickly that I found myself standing there thinking, What just happened? Did I accidentally walk into the season finale of a very dramatic telenovela? Chris became visibly red-faced and extremely agitated, and the intensity of the interaction was completely disproportionate to what was actually happening. I was simply a customer trying to ask a question, and suddenly I was on the receiving end of a level of anger I absolutely did not expect. At that point, the fashion fantasy was officially over. I did not feel comfortable or safe, so I left. And honestly? The 50-foot mannequin was the highlight of the entire experience. Market Market had me at Jeremy Scott and lost me somewhere around PSBS. If you're looking for liquor, I'd shop elsewhere and compare prices. But if you're looking for an unforgettable retail drama involving fashion, a giant mannequin, and an unexpected cashier confrontation... Well. Welcome to the novela.

You'll find 60's & 70's mod & hippie styles mixed in with modern workwear like Dickies denim overalls. The store is designed with an ease for finding garments with little vignettes of complimentary oddities arranged in a shrine like fashion. I imagine the Coachella crowd eats up a lot of the merch here. Prices are very good for the wares; I saw a 60's faux fur tiger patterned coat for $250 that I've seen in L.A. for $800 for the exact same one. (it's killer - and I have one myself!) The woman working the counter was very friendly and was overheard recommending other vintage stores to customers which earns mad respect from me. My one piece of bitchery is due to the lack of parking; I have a car that I need to keep an eye on and I had to park far away which kept me a bit uncomfortable. If you're shopping here from L.A. that will not bother you at all. I highly recommend spending quality time and money at Thriftology!

I saw several reviews here on Yelp referring to it as a thrift store, which offends my artistic sensibilities to no end. This is a carefully curated art gallery & vintage store with a very specifically unique aesthetic that also happens to be priced very affordably. I felt like I was reading the mind of the artist/designer as I perused the shelves, absolutely fascinated by the mix of Native American, American Pioneer, Black Face art shirts, Hawaiian shirts, African art, and primitive art. I was very attracted to the point of view being presented in this capsule, and I did my best to put my finger on how to describe the combination of all of the treasures for sale...but without success. It needs to be experienced in person. I have personally been attracted this past year to pioneering and homesteading, perhaps yearning for a simpler time, and was able to find the perfect crisp white nightgown that was reminiscent of something seen on Little House On The Prairie for $24. I met with the owner/artist Martin and raved to him about his store, and he was so humble and soft spoken in return. Very intriguing. I feel the need to go back soon to see what beautiful wares will speak to me next. I also went to their website and signed up for their newsletter.
