I checked and there are lots of stores in the Chicago area but this appears to be the first in the Milwaukee area. It's a interesting concept. Everything is frozen, including meats, fish, vegetables and meals. There is a large selection of interesting, or what might be considered exotic foods. You can get cuts of Elk, Bison, and Venison. They have organ meats and oxtails. They have a large selection of shrimp, and some that are so big that you might mistake them for lobster. For many of the items, there are plenty of choices. For example there is not just one salmon or shrimp selection. They have at least 12 different types to choose from. For different locations, different types, different, and different types of production standards (organic, non-gmo, pasture raised, etc) The store is well organized. All of the standing freezers or wall units are neatly packed and well labeled. Pricing is easy to discern. It's easy to shop and find what you are looking for. I found the help to all be helpful, and friendly. The staff at the registers were patient, and chatty. I bought a couple of items, and looking forward to cooking up the pasture raised chicken (breasts) and the Gulf Coast shrimp. This is not my side of town, so it's a little out of my way. However, they explained that for $29 you can get a year of free deliveries. That's a great deal!

St. Paul Fish Market is located inside the very busy and popular Milwaukee Public Market indoor shopping complex downtown. It reminds me of the Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle. The only parking option that I am aware of is metered street parking. The building has 2 levels but the 1st floor is where most of the business are. It appeared to me that St. Paul's is the most popular business there. It is a seafood restaurant and fresh fish market. They have a small sit down area for table service dining or you can order your food to go at the counter. After being seated and reviewing the menu I decided to order the same meal I had over 11 years ago. I went with a bowl of clam chowder for $8 to start and then added a fried grouper sandwich ($16) with french fries for another $2.50. The chowder was perfect. Flavorful, delicious and I wanted more (5). The sandwich also was delicious and satisfying made with quality fish, lettuce, tomato, and bread. However while it tasted very good halfway through eating it the bread bun started to disintegrate and then quickly turned to mush before I could finish. Then I needed a fork to finish it. It got messy and I don't like that in a sandwich. It's only for that reason I give an overall 4 score instead of a 5. The french fries were very good tasting too but I had ordered too much food and only had room for a few of them. The table service was very warm and friendly. I believe St. Paul's is a very good choice for a casual seafood meal but please buy more sturdy buns!

Almost any Asian cuisine you need items for - Indian, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese etc... I would recommend looking around because they likely have what you're searching for here. Foreign candy and drinks? Check. Unique and quality produce? Check. Fresh and frozen meats and seafood? Check. Fresh baked specialty goods? All the kimchi? That kitchen gadget you needed but couldn't find? Triple check. Everything I normally purchase from closer Asian markets can be found here, but often in a wider selection. For example, I love hotpot. I generally buy Little Sheep brand and my local store has two non-spicy flavors. There were several at Pan Asia. As well as other brands in spicy and mild flavors. It's like Aldi vs Walmart. Yes Aldi has what you're looking for, but Walmart will probably have more variety. The place is large and can feel overwhelming at first. But once you have an idea of how everything is laid out it becomes easier to find what's on your list. It's essentially the same as other grocers- produce at the entry, meat in the back and frozen items along the far wall with dry goods and staples in the center. I visit every couple of months just to see what's new and seasonal. I've not tried the restaurants yet as they're generally pretty busy. But I have purchased bakery items and recommend everything. I think there's also a boba tea counter and the fact that I've not tried it yet blows my mind. Maybe next visit! The checkout has always been pretty fast, even on the busiest days. And there's almost always someone available around the store if you need assistance finding items.

They have a wide variety of fresh produce, plus tons of fun drinks and snacks. In addition to groceries, they also have a food court with sushi, boba, pastries, onigiri, and more. I've tried the boba and onigiri so far, and both were delicious. The prices are very reasonable, and while they may not carry absolutely everything, they have a much better selection than other nearby markets. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking to explore new foods or stock up on Asian groceries!

With a lot of variety and friendly service, this definitely is a great go-to place. My Mom and I came here for a light dinner and ordered the crab cake and mussels appetizers as our entrees. Thinking that wouldn't be enough food, we added the arugula beet salad. Everything came out pretty quickly, and the mussels portion and salad were enormous. Each dish was excellent. The mussels, a recommendation by our helpful server, were especially good - the mussels were cooked perfectly, without an unopened mussel in the bunch, and the white wine-garlic-fennel broth was seasoned well and had the classic flavor I was hoping for. The only miss was that the bread provided was only barely toasted and a little chewy. The salad was a wonderful surprise: dressed properly with a nice vinaigrette, it had toasted pepitas, creamy goat cheese, fennel, and beets that were not overly earthy. My Mom enjoyed her crab cakes, which had a bit of a spicy kick. I wanted a little dessert and chose their Door County cherry ice cream. I would strongly recommend leaving room for it. It had a fantastic, creamy texture, tasting homemade. The ice cream itself had a natural flavor of almonds with a hint of cherry, was studded with dark chocolate and cherry pieces, and topped with a cute fish-shaped cookie. One of the best ice creams I've had. Like the food portions, it came as three big scoops, so it's good for sharing. The atmosphere is casual and fun, though be prepared for a pretty high noise level when it's full - not from music, but from everyone having a great time with friends and family. I'd recommend getting a reservation, and they're conveniently on OpenTable.
