Enrolled our child over the summer of 2024. Fast track classes since course was offered over 4…read moreweeks as opposed to the semester long period typically of high school- which we thought would be better. Well, read on. Child states classes were incredibly boring (instructor was lazy and rolled around in his chair, while teaching) and videos were "out of touch". It did not captivate my child's attention nor did it pique any interest in learning. We enrolled our child in this class for drivers education. He turned 16 in late spring. Classroom is sufficient but the students state "an old fat man that never stands up but rolls around on his office chair". Incredibly boring and monotone. Part of the class includes a "behind the wheel" driving with the instructor. Scheduling "behind the wheel" (BTW) instructor times was, to say the LEAST, one of the worst and most horrific experiences ever! EVER!! Instructions were very unclear on how to schedule - no phone calls allowed, only texts. This could be perceived as innovative however it was in fact obnoxious! Responses to texts were untimely (up to 10 hours later), during hours "outside of normal busier hours" and inconsistent, ie no response after several follow-ups). The scheduler was mean, rude, uncooperative, prejudiced and lacked any sense of decency. She refused to give out her name, so henceforth will be known as "Karen". Karen claimed that students needed to finish class work before being scheduled for BTW and, that they would need to practice driving before BTW scheduling occurred. WTF!! - I thought the instructors were to teach them with their specially equipped cars(brake on the instructors side)!!! That's why we send them to driving school - to learn how to drive with equipment that's not accessible to the public!!! We as parents do not have the proper automobiles that are equipped-the instructors should be taking this on as that is what we pay them for!! We as parents have the responsibility to hone our children's BTW experience after the basic concepts are taught! Seems this school is backwards and doesn't want to be held accountable for the outcome and wants the students that have driving experience! I do not recommend this school at all if you want to get your children licensed for the first time. It was not very expensive but I suppose, you get what you pay for. Never, ever have I encountered such terrible customer service from a person; I do not understand how this business still exists!! Whether it's "Ken's Driving School" or "1st Breese" (Breeze?) -- stay far away.

"Terrified Driver" is what the MANTENO, location should be called. I enrolled my daughter about…read morethree years ago now. This poor kid is not driving because her first lesson was an experience of terror! I told the instructor that she does not have much experience driving on busy roads, just neighborhood and back roads, that it may be advisable to start there. I booked lessons on Sunday mornings so the traffic would be light. This crazy instructor takes her onto the busy intersection on Division street , where there are semi trucks entering/leaving the highway! Then she takes her down route 50 north, more trucks, then she has her make a u-turn on the railroad tracks by the Will County Fairgrounds in Peotine, and head back south on Rt. 50 to Manteno. Upon returning my daughter looked stressed like she wanted to cry, her hands were shaking! The instructor told me she's a bit rough and needs more practice. The minute she got in my car she started sobbing and told me what happened! How she could hardly breathe and was terrified she'd get into an accident! But managed to keep it together. That the car was dirty, and sticky, and there was garbage in it! I wanted to call and complain, but she didn't want me to, fearing retaliation on her next lesson. There never was a next lesson, she was afraid to go back. It's been almost three years and she's afraid to drive. Very expensive, money lost.

As a hard working parent DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY with this school. The scheduling for driving…read morelessons is ridiculous, it shouldn't take the better part of 8 months to get her 6 hours of driving and 6 hours of observation. The state only allows 9 months to get it done or she has to start over and of course forfeit our money. I am very disappointed that driving school expects me to teach her to drive and they just critique her skills. I'm paying YOU the instructor to do it. She aced the written test and did well with certain instructors, the ones that actually instructed her. Now they want to prolong the process and get more money! Screw that! We are done and I just want to warn any unsuspecting students that want to drive, it will take you about a year if you go through this school. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Progressive Truck Driving School Inc, At Lansing, Aided In Guiding My Path…read more Late Friday afternoon I walked into the facility and Ms Chavon Davis called me into her office. That same week, I was in the internal debate of either attending the branch of Cicero, for the Site Manager was so professional, only to discover, "I trained Ms. Lizet Ortega," Ms. Davis informed, which sealed my decision. To proclaim Ms. Davis is fair, is a woeful an understatement. She assess your approach, your current position, and facilitates accordingly. In conjunction your efforts, as the days grow forth, shall determine how easy, how difficult, or if at all, you shall succeed. Diminish your work ethic, no matter how slight, is to undermine yourself. Ms. Chavon Davis is the mirror and the multiplier of whomever strives to invest in themselves, in the face of what seems to be daunting hurdles. Unaware that I was, when first leaving her office, She became my first of Found Fortunes. From the classroom setting there is Ms. G, whose teaching skills is adaptable towards whomever she interacts. Speech pattern, body language, tonality. She code switches on the fly, with each of us, thus easing comfort and hastening, by our own individual paces, to grasp the Pre-Trip Inspections in full. Not to mention sharing real world knowledge, and wisdom associations of being a truck driver. You feel you are one, and the CDL isn't yet within your palms. Matters quicken, and schedule divides, once you're written off and advance outside the classroom. If your decision is manual then Dan and Ryan. If Automatic is your choice then Jeff and Ryan. Either way, Ryan is the focal portal, who shapes then cultivates your lot maneuvers. Forward, Reverse Offset. Front and Rear Box. It cannot be ignored that Ryan doesn't shy from Questions, nor divulging, useful information. Truck related, personal, Truck adjacent, and varying benefits in conjunction through your upcoming license. Years of benefit, on how to conduct one's self, life lessons, are afford to you if you approach him. I even witness firsthand how the staff makes wonders, if one or two teachers have planned vacations, or unexpected occurrences. You can't help but feel Grateful when all are doing their best to help us succeed. So I'll end on this note... What I desire, above all else, is for more instructors, within Ms. Davis' employe, that are of Ms G's and Mr. Rayan's caliber. Each Are Esoteric Gems. They embody the standard Ms. Davis has built.
