I was reluctant to leave a review after my first visit here as I wouldn't have had anything positive to say, in fact it was one of the most disappointing salon visits I had ever experienced. I first came here shortly after they opened and therein probably lies the lesson to be learnt. I went and spoke with the owner about my regrettable experience and dismay at the poor professionalism of the stylist and was impressed at his reaction and the way he responded. Without a fuss, he offered to put it right and assured me that he was determined to ensure that I would become a happy customer.
So, with slight trepidation, I returned for my (now) free colour and conditioning treatment and - happily - it was a completely different story. The 'stylist' I originally went to was no longer there (there was no way I would have been dragged back in, even kicking and screaming, to see her). This time I saw the wonderful Silvana who instantly inspired my confidence. She was a delight in every way, the ultimate professional, who took painstaking care of me and a great pride in her work. She's a real sunshine character - hailing from Brazil - and I would unreservedly recommend her.
It's an expensive salon, so should be considered a treat but when it works - as it should - you'll feel pampered, relaxed and that it's money well-spent. Both scalp and hand massage are included in your visit, while you relax and sip the special blend of mint and licorice-based herbal tea. Once your hair has been styled, your make-up - talking from a girl's perspective, here! - will be given a glamorous touch from Aveda's subtle palette, ensuring that you leave confident and ready to shine. read more
