This place was perfect for my boyfriend's surprise birthday party! Booked thru Peerspace and direct communication with the Red160 team, we used their Mingle Room/Resident Lounge for the party. It was hard to find a decent rate/ relatively under $100 dollars per hour for a space rental, especially in the Seattle area so this turned out well. Communication with the Red160 team was consistent and effortless! They did such a GREAT job answering my questions. They were also really FLEXIBLE with timing, what to bring, and only asked that the minor rules be followed :) We met with one of the team members the day of to unlock the space and he made sure the restroom was also unlocked for the guests, and it's literally right next to the room! Load and unload to the side of the space made things easier. The parking situation was warned to us so he suggested the park or street. My guests had fun playing billiards! We were able to put things in the fridge and use the microwave which made things easier. The audio on the TV presented no issues when I presented a slideshow presentation! Highly recommend that if you're not a tech person and you know someone that is, bring them along cuz they know where to connect things lol. Our point of contact was helpful and said that only the trash and recycling to be taken out to the near dumpsters. But there was no soap or sponge provided to clean dishes as well as a broom and dustpan to sweep. We would've loved to clean the space more but we've tidy up most that we could and left the space as is. He has informed us prior not to worry about it and only the trash was the concern! For your guests, especially if they're trying to find this room, please inform of where to go or if it's a surprise to leave a marker like balloons outside. We were so busy running around that we forgot that last minute and did so during the moment leading up to the surprise! Other than that, we loved the space! It was just right! I lived at Red160 for two years, and I know how helpful it was for me to read reviews when I was deciding apartments. Pro: - Management/Staff: From day 1, Kellen was helpful, sociable, and informative about my apartment search. Throughout my tenancy there, he was always quick to respond to my questions. Move-in and move-out process were both incredibly smooth. All service requests were answered timely and efficiently. - Location: Red160 is located in the heart of Downtown Redmond. Trader Joe's and QFC are located ~2 minute walk away, and the Redmond Transit Center is located ~5 minutes away. There are a few nearby restaurants, and an amazing bike path behind the complex that's good for running/biking. - Safety: Always felt safe walking around at night in Redmond, never had any issues during my two years living there. - Gym: Small, but useful apartment gym for working out. Some of the machines could definitely be swapped out, but not a major issue. - Apartment: In-unit W/D, heater available, AC only available in 1-bd/2-bd apartments on the 5th and 6th floor. Electric burner stovetop. Cons: - Construction noise: Construction noise could be quite unbearable at times. With new apartment complexes in the area, mornings could be filled with a lot of noise. - Cost: Red160 still prices themselves as a newer apartment building even though the complex is slightly dated and many neighboring complexes are ~2 years old. This was the primary reason why I moved out. - Noise between floors: I had an issue with extremely loud stomping noises above me, which prompted me to move to the top floor. After living here for 2 years, I am incredibly sad to have moved. We moved to another equity residential property in CA, and it hardly compares to the level of quality and service we received while living at Red160. The staff at Red160 is incredibly friendly and helpful. They were always on top of things. When we put in a service request, it was always acknowledged or finished within a couple of hours. The hallways and common areas are always very clean, and the maintenance staff is always helpful and very kind. The community events were always great. The only bad thing I could say about Red160 is that it set the standard for everywhere else we will ever live, so I'm prepared to miss it every time we move. Let me start by saying that Kellen was AWESOME! He took the time to show me around and answer my questions and he was very knowledgeable. All of the staff there was courteous. The apartment complex is beautiful and the location is near perfect. My BIG problem is that they told me a lot of things in the sales pitch. They promised a two month lease buyout, cheap transfers and various other things. When it came time to sign the lease though I discovered that none of this is actually written into the contract. What they ask you to sign is VERY different than the promises they make. I asked them about this and they were all very nice but acknowledged that your legal responsibilities in the lease that you sign are VERY different than what they describe in the sales talk. They said that it was a big corporation who cared and that I really should just trust them. Riiiiight. In the end I did sign the lease for a variety of reasons. I won't say that you should or should not do the same. Just make sure that you read carefully everything they ask you to sign and note that all of the flowery promises that they make are not actually backed by any legal assurances. read more

We lived here for two years, and generally enjoyed it. Our encounters with management have been excellent and are worthy of 5 stars. The maintenance guys were also excellent and worthy of 5 stars. The washer and dryers are the cheapest, crappiest models I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with, and in our 2 years living here, we had the washer serviced at least 6 times. You couldn't wash more than 4 towels without it killing over. I think we had one or two refurbished units brought it - I can't keep count. The bedrooms were small, but the bathrooms were large and lovely. I miss the bathrooms the most, I think. lol Parking is effing awful. I'm looking at you, paid parking in the building. The spaces are entirely too small, and the expense is goofy. The common room space is nice, and we used it once for a party. Really nice party room. The gym is sufficient. If you can afford to live downtown for any length of time, I think you should go for it. Downtown Redmond is lovely, and you can walk anywhere. read more

Do not be fooled by their customer service when you're a resident, once you move out, they CHARGE you A LOT OF MONEY for issues in the apartment that you clearly indicated in the move-in inspection that were already there. If you don't mind the price, then I highly recommend Red160. PROS: -Location. You can walk to pretty much anything, including: grocery stores, drug stores, doctors, dentists, eye doctors, restaurants, movie theatres, the library, used book stores, a mall, craft store, toy store, office store, parks, a lovely trail along the river, and the Redmond Transit Center. From the transit center, you can reach downtown Bellevue on one bus. The university is also only one bus away. -Staff. The office staff (Joel, Darlene, and Michelle) were all really great. They were helpful from the day we toured the place through the day we moved out. They really do provide exceptional customer service. The maintenance team was also good, especially Andrew. They fixed our water heater, toilet, a clogged garbage disposal, and replaced our light bulbs. We were always pleased with how quickly things were fixed. -Fitness room. The fitness room is the best I've seen at an apartment, and I really miss it. My husband and I liked that they had multiple elliptical machines so that we could both use them at the same time. There are also treadmills, weights, and an exercise bike. The ellipticals and treadmills each have their own television, so you can enjoy a show while you run. The fitness room is air-conditioned, is open 24 hours a day, has a drinking fountain inside, and has a bathroom right outside. -Theatre Room. The theatre room can be reserved at no charge. It's fun to host movie nights with friends. There are gaming systems in there too that you can use. -Mingle Room. You can watch TV, cook, or play pool. There is free wifi. The room can be reserved for private events for a fee. -Apartment layout and features. We really liked our floor plan. Ours happened to be laid out such that our bedroom bordered our neighbor's bathroom and closet while our kitchen bordered their kitchen. Our living room protruded in such a way that it didn't share a wall with our neighbors. As a result, we did not hear noise from our next door neighbors (but I can't say whether this would be true for other units). Our floor plan was spacious and well designed. The kitchen appliances were of good quality, there was plenty of closet space, and we liked the view. -Secure access building. -Package collection. The office will accept packages for you and quickly email you to let you know. - Non-smoking community. There were times people would smoke outside our window, but Joel would go inform them of the non-smoking policy and ask them to move for us. CONS: -Price. The price is high and it only goes higher every time the lease is renewed. They say their prices are competitive with other apartments in the area, but by giving up a few amenities, we were able to save significantly by moving elsewhere. -Parking. Parking is expensive and the spots are on the small side. Just like rent, the parking fee went up each time we renewed our lease. Guest parking now requires a free temporary parking pass if you want your guest to be able to park in the garage for more than 2 hours. This applies at all times, even on holidays and in the middle of the night, meaning you have to plan ahead of time to get a pass while the office is open or have your guest park on the street. -Noise from upstairs neighbors. Our neighbors stomped so loudly that our lights rattled. Maintenance took a look at our light fixtures but said there was nothing that could be done. The noise from our neighbors varied with each resident that lived above us; some were quieter than others. Some were so loud they would wake us up. I talked to other residents and one person claimed to never hear their neighbors. Another resident said they didn't use to have a problem but now they do (they hear loud stomping, even late at night). So it just depends on what kind of person you end up living under. We would send noise complaints to Joel, and he would reach out to our neighbors. They'd be quiet for a little bit but would eventually return to their noisy habits. -Washer and dryer. The washer and dryer are a small stacked unit, and clothes always come out excessively wrinkly. Our jeans would still be damp after 2 hours in the dryer. Maintenance took a look and said it was working fine and that the drying time is a common complaint. Since moving out of Red160 to a place with a full size dryer, our jeans now dry within an hour and our clothes aren't wrinkly. Over all, we were very happy at Red160. It's a very nice complex with an unbeatable location. We had concerns about noise after construction began for The Carter, a new apartment complex across the street. If you aren't on the south side of the building, it shouldn't be a concern. Noise and wanting to save money were our reasons for leaving after two years there. There were no surprises at move out. They took out a cleaning fee as expected (they require the place to be professionally cleaned), and the rest of our deposit was refunded. read more

Examples, as they seemed to me - *Apartment wall cracked from building settling, my front door varied from "brute force to get it to close" to "so loose it won't stay closed without the deadbolt", *the garage leaked on the very first winter and was never fully fixed, *the built-in air conditioner was pathetically under capacity and installed so poorly that actually using it during hot weather resulted in it freezing up and stopping I won't go further as it could still end up in court, I'll leave it at: This place should be demolished and the two managers who are still there and were there when the place opened should work at Wendy's. Our lease is almost up, so I feel it's an appropriate time to write a review of our experience here so far. And I can't think of one bad thing to say. Honestly. Moving to the eastside wasn't our top choice, but we figured we'd look around to see what each area had to offer. Redmond was actually at the bottom of the list, but it was the staff here that changed our minds. Our first tour was done about four months before our planned move date, and Joel was so enthusiastic about showing us every floor plan that was open, and all the amenities on the property. When it came time to actually choose a place, I set up another appointment to do a refresher tour and see what was coming available, and again, they went through every amenity, and every floorplan we were interested in (and we've been on a few refresher tours where they act confused that you'd want to see amenities again since you already saw them however many months ago - basically I'm saying most leasing offices are seriously lacking on their customer service skills). The leasing and application process was easy as it can be, and our move in went perfectly. The only reason we're not renewing is because we really do miss living in the city, and will suffer through having a smaller place to be in our favorite neighborhood. That being said, and I know people like pro/cons list, and also because I have nothing better to do right now, here are some pro's and con's! Pros: - It really is in a great location (Eastside wise). Takes me 10 minutes to walk to Town Center, 5 minutes to the transit station, Trader Joe's and QFC are directly across the street (Whole Foods, Safeway, Target, and Fred Meyer are all a 5-10 minute drive down the road), Marymoor is a mile away and has the best dog park I've ever been to (the dog would agree) - ZipCars in the garage.There's usually always one available. They are pretty much gone all day on weekends though, but if you know you'll need it ahead of time you can reserve it. It's great for trips to Target or somewhere where you know you'll be getting a lot of things that you don't want to carry/walk back with. - Amenities are really good. There are a bunch of new "luxury" apartments opening up in the same area - and on the same street - charging double the price, and have lame-o amenities. The dog wash station is really awesome for those of us with dogs that are too big to try and lift into a tub. The community room is a great place to hang out, play a game of pool or a boardgame, watch something on the tv and cook dinner for friends, etc. We still have not used the movie room, but I do know that it looks awesome and we will use it before moving out! The gym is actually large and has stuff you want to use - not like most apartments that cram everything into too small of a space and half of it was new in the 1980's. Each building also has an outdoor grill area on the second floor with seating, which is always nice to have. - Sound insulation. I know there are some reviews saying it sucks, and maybe just the way our apartment is laid out we don't get that full range of noise, but I have never once heard anyone on either side of us. I can hear the people above us from time to time, but that's something you get to deal with when you live in an apartment. - The office staff. I mean, no joke, they are all awesome. I think my dog loves them more than me from all the treats she gets. The maintenance guys are top notch as well. I can't remember their names, but there is one who always carries dog treats around, and is always in a great mood. Cons (I guess?): - The parking/pet rent is pretty high. Everything around here is now timed parking so it's really not feasible to street park unless you have a schedule where you're gone between the posted hours. - I hate to put this as a con, cause it's really just an annoying thing for 5 minutes a day, twice a week. But if you have a south facing apartment and like to keep your windows open, you will hear the recycling trucks Tuesday morning, and the garbage trucks Friday morning.It's less than 5 minutes each time, but some people find it to be a deal breaker. - Not every floor has ceiling fans. Our is one of them :(. I don't remember the exact reason behind it, but it had something to do with the wiring not being done right. I wish we had them, and I hate to put that as a con, because it's really just a silly thing, but, our unit does get really warm when it's sunny out (though I still wouldn't give up all those windows, we just have a lot of stand fans). TL;DR - if you're looking for a spot on the eastside, you really can't go wrong here. I have been living in Red 160 for the past three months. This place is great if you want a balance between city life and suburbia. The rent based on it's walk score is reasonable. I'm in the East building on the fourth floor and there is minimal noise from the street and my neighbors. Here is how I would summarize my experience: Pros: 1. Staff - Hands down the most responsive and friendly staff I have ever met. 2. Location - Close enough to Seattle & Bellevue. If you work at MSFT it's perfect. Tons of restaurants, parks, and shops 3. Layout of apartment 4. Brightness - Lots of natural light in apartment 5. Security - Absolutely no entry without a key Cons: 1. Elevator - there's only two in my building and one is always broken. However anyone that's ever lived in any apartment knows this is always an issue no matter where you go. 2. Guest Parking - minimal 3. Workmanship - From the outside the building looks fantastic but you can tell it was built in a rush. You'll notice drawers are misaligned, handles are crooked and my biggest issue to date, our balcony door was built incorrectly so there is a huge gap which lets in a lot of cold air. No place is perfect, but after balancing everything out, I still really enjoying living in this unit! read more

Two weeks ago, i moved out of this community half-heatedly. My husband and I had lived in a number of communities in this area but felt that RED160 was one of the BEST place we had stayed in. We are people with very high expectations and RED160 fulfilled all of them! We love this place so much that we stayed here for a little more than 2 years. The only reason we moved is due to the rent increase :/ The location of RED160 was perfect! I like it that I can walk to Trader Joe's and QFC. It is also near the library and transit centre, where there is a direct bus to downtown Seattle. Zeeks pizza/subway/Top pot donut is just downstairs - great for lazy days. This apartment complex is super safe and secure. There's a fob for you to enter the building and for you to activate the elevator to your apartment level. You will also need a special sticker on your car to access the garage. The office staff is always friendly and ready to help. A while back, I notified the office that the TV on the gym equipments are not working. Many weeks passed and it was still unfixed. Finally, Michelle (the manager) caught hold of me and explained that the cable guy is still working on it. within, the next few weeks, it was finally fixed. As a resident, I feel valued when the manager actually followed-up with me! On the week of my move, one of the elevators broke down. One of the staff, even took time to tell me how to strategise my move to save on cost and time. I felt touched that RED160 is caring towards their residents (and soon to be ex residents) The maintenance staff are also very fast and efficient. On some occasions, my bathtub clogged, oven refused to work, light bulb fused , they settle these issues within the the working day! I also love the convenience of having the recycling bin and trash chutes on every level of the apartment. makes things so much easier! Our apartment in the East building is mostly quiet. Yes, sometimes, we do hear slight knocking/drilling/dog barking but we are not fussy about noise. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would strongly recommend it to anyone if the rent is within your budget ;D You pay for what you get! read more

New apartments building really close to Redmond city center and Bella botega. Perfect walk-score. We were the first tenants in our apartment. The apartment interior is great quality compared to other rental properties. And the price is reasonable. The gals at the leasing office are really smart and helpful, maintenance staff is also great. There is a lot of construction going on around the community (2011) so it could get noisy in the morning. The noise woke us up as early as 7:30 AM on some days, even though we lived on the 6th floor. Hopefully this temporary nuance will go away soon. Parking situation is not great. Some of the spots in the garage are ridiculously tiny, and if you come back home late at night, you won't find any of the good spots available. Guest parking is also difficult. read more

As far as apartments go this place is better than any I have experienced- and I've lived in quite a few different buildings- 8 of them in the last four years. What I love most about this place is that it's a fair price for a perfect walk score and the amenities don't include noise & filth inducing areas like a pool or hot tub that is always filthy, broken or filled with drunk tenants (think Archstone Redmond Lakeview Apartments. Yuck.) Instead Red 160 offers open spaces with sensible restrictions for the privacy and comfort of all tenants- like the spacious, beautiful and well maintained courtyards. Yes, it is dog friendly- which is great because we have dogs. We always pick up after our dogs- a few other people do but (despite the never ending supply of poop bags made available) a lot of inconsiderate jack holes don't. That isn't the fault of Red160 and unlike the other apartment complex I reviewed on here *cough cough arch stone cough*, the dog area is maintained and cleaned on a regular basis- thank god. I also love that it prohibits smoking- on/near the building and they actually enforce it too. Thank you Red 160. I love that it is super close to everything downtown Redmond has to offer and the walking and biking trails that crisscross the area- I'm literally minutes to walk to Redmond Town Center, great food, movies and shopping. I can walk anywhere I want to! The noise between units is almost non existent. I was most worried about this after my last living fiasco at the Archstone Redmond Lakeview. (The noise there was such a nightmare- on numerous occasions we were woken between 3am and 5am by the noise of a phone on vibrate ringing in out room- after looking at our phones (that weren't ringing) we realized we could hear the couple above us phone's vibrating and it was so loud we though it was actually one of our phones. Total. Effing. Nightmareish. Noise- all the time.) We absolutely can hear the people above us in the morning and occasionally in the evening when they are moving around but it's faint and not disruptive. We certainly CAN'T hear their phones ring through the flooring. We had one issue where a TV was being played too loudly at 1am but after we asked the management to address the issue (which they did graciously and without a fight, also unlike Archstone Lakeview). It's never happened again. Red160 has restored my faith in apartment living. Best of all is the management. The company must be doing something right because everyone who works in the office actually seems happy to be there and everyone is pleased to help you out. The maintenance men have been gracious, timely and exceptionally helpful. I have not one single complaint about any interaction with the staff- they have always been genuinely lovely. (Alisha is a total delight to work with and I feel as if she has been a long time friend!) I really though long and hard about giving this place 4 or 5 stars and at the end of the day I can easily say that this is the best place we've rented in a very long time- maybe ever. read more

Beware of unreasonable moveout charges. I am an ex resident and gave them the place in absolutely good condition back. Also I put a weekend aside to cleanup the place. They will charge you for professional cleaning and shampoo regardless of the condition you return the Apartment in. Location: Right in the heart of Redmond, near perfect walk score. Trader Joe's, QFC, Jamba Juice, Top Pot Donuts, Zeeks, Starbucks, Staples; everything's within walking distance. QFC is especially convenient as it's open 24-hours and it's a great comfort knowing that everything's a quick walk away regardless of the time of the day. If you work for Microsoft the place is just a 5-min drive away on WA-520 or 148th Ave. Construction: The apartments are fairly new so they look nice. The noise insulation is *very* effective, I haven't heard any steps/pets/home-appliances related noises from neighbors from any direction throughout my stay here. Amenities: The gym is properly maintained and kept clean. Mingle room is great for parties while Scene is great for private movie-nights -- although at times the weekend reservations have to be made weeks in advance as the place is booked but that's expected. I own neither a pet nor a Tesla so can't comment about the pet washing and electric charging stations but I've seen a decent amount of people use them around here without any complaints. In general the buildings are kept clean and tidy. Staff: This is where Red160 truly shines. I have visited at least 30 apartment complexes in/around Redmond & Bellevue and I have to stay that these guys are without any doubt the best I have dealt with. Joel, Michelle and Alisha have been especially nice to interact with. They're not only pleasant and friendly to speak with but are also thoroughly professional in dealing with your problems and questions. Simply put, they make you feel like they genuinely care. Some apartments have over-friendly staff trying to compensate for the dwelling's shortcomings; some have professional but nonchalant staff bordering on rudeness. This team, on the other hand, takes care of stuff for you in a prompt and efficient manner and they do it with a smile on their face all the time. Reason numero uno for extending my stay here. Price: The price, however, leans a bit towards the higher-end. The parking charges also need to be taken into account as that adds 65 bucks a month (per-car) to base-rent. Obviously the financial aspect is totally subjective but in my opinion if you're ready to pay a somewhat similar amount to live in one of the nearby places it is definitely worth to spend some extra bucks to live here. During my lease renewal the offer I initially got was some $400/month more than what other places of interest had, which was a pretty huge jump for me. In the end it came down to around $200/month difference and I decided to stay seeing as the experience is easily worth that much. read more

I'm moving into my third apartment within red160, willing to upgrade each time to a bigger place. All of the staff that I've interacted with - the Equity customer service representative I spoke to after hours while originally apartment-hunting, the leasing management, the maintenance staff - have been nothing short of fantastic. Everyone in the office has gone out of their way to learn the names of the tenants (I've yet to witness them forget people, often remembering their very apartment number, or at least floor) and interact with them on a professionally-friendly level. The maintenance staff are always smiling and saying good morning, and the very few times I've needed service, it has been completed on the same day and with a friendly note left after. I highly recommend anyone looking in the downtown Redmond area to consider red160, based on the staff alone. read more

Not what I have come to expect from an Equity property. I have a very loud neighbor, the noise starts around 10pm and doesn't stop sometimes until 2am. It's so loud that my 6 year old can't sleep. I have spoken to management numerous times with no resolution to the problem. In my last communication with management on this matter I was essentially told that I would just have to deal with it until the tenant moved. Unfortunately I have 8 months left on my sentence here, can't wait to be done with this place. read more

The staff here are excellent, and the apartment is great. About the only thing I could complain about is the size of the barrel in the washing machine/dryer, and that's really dictated by being a small 1 bedroom apartment. The rent is relatively expensive, but generally speaking I use the buses that depart from the Redmond Transit Center, only 2 blocks away, which go pretty much everywhere you could want in the Puget Sound area. For shopping trips and other such things, they have this service called Zipcar which lets you rent cars for relatively little money if you don't plan on driving often. read more

Red 160 is very expensive and inconvenient place. The security deposit is as high as twice a rent plus 400$, you have to by a renter's insurance, pay non refundable move in and application fee. The application process involves a lot ob bureaucracy, provision of scan of driver's license, SSN and payslips. After all there is heater and no AC. Water is not included in the bill. There are two fire alarms, which are happily going off during cooking. read more

I love living here! Kellen and Darlene have been nothing but helpful since the day we moved in. It's super quiet, I can never hear my neighbors, I love having an assigned underground parking spot, and everything I need is super close by. Between QFC, Trader Joe's, and Top Pot for my donut cravings, I'm all set. My only complaint is that the elevator seems to be down a lot, leaving only one for the building which takes forever. Upsides are location location location. Walk to nearly everything you need. Downsides are small dark units with no storage and very little closet space. Tiny washer and dryers. Main areas downstairs are pretty nice. Up on the floors the hallway carpets don't seem to get cleaned or replaced when stained. Nice friendly staff and tenants but again, dark little caves, especially in the winter. Hot in summer due to no cross breezes. read more

Updated 9/1/15 We've decided to stay here for another year despite some of the misgivings I've noted in the past. I'm raising my review to three stars (I would give it 3.5 if I could). The staff here is really what sells this place. Joel, Michelle, everyone on maintenance are all simply amazing people to work with. They've addressed all of the problems I've noted below (in so much as they have the power to) and are always very responsive for even the smallest of issues. It's hard to imagine there being a better management than what they have here. The location is unbeatable, especially if you're one of the thousands of Microsoft folks living on the Eastside. Updated 6/16/15: Lowering to two stars. I really want to love this place because the staff is great and I like my apartment. However, over the last couple of months things have definitely take a downward turn. Over the last month or so, we've had several transients congregating in our lobby, especially the West building. While I don't have anything but empathy for those folks, my wife works out very early in the morning and she's basically helpless if something were to happen to her. Keep in mind, these are supposed to be secured buildings. Also, the fitness center lock has been broken for months. We've actually mentioned both of these issues to management and they've done nothing about it. They told us to call 911 if we don't feel safe. How about just locking the doors or hiring someone to walk the premises at night? For the rent they're charging here, it doesn't seem like an unreasonable request to me. If you're looking for a place to live in Redmond, I'd suggest you look at any of the new buildings in the area, sadly. As I've said, the staff here are excellent and the apartment is high quality, quiet and most of the times a good place to live. Updated 1/10/2015: I have to lower my review to 3 stars from 5 stars and here's why. The building I live in, which is the one above Top Pot, has two elevators for residents. For over a month, one of the elevators has been out of service. So if you want to get somewhere like the garage, you have to either wait 10+mins or take the stairs. Seems easy enough right? Wrong. The design of the building is such that the stairwell on my side doesnt lead to the garage, it only leads outside. You have to walk to the other side of the building to get down the stairs to the garage and then walk across the garage to get to your car. It's an inconvenience thats unacceptable only because its gone on for over a month. We've had similarly long times with repairs for broken fitness equipment in our fitness center where treadmills will be out of service for over a month. Second is my specific apartment, we live near the trash/recylcing area which uses a fan to create a vacuum to move the trash. Since we've lived here, we've had to have maintenance fix the fan because it will vibrate (this has happened more than ten times now). When its vibrating, my entire apartment sounds like you're in the back of a garbage truck and it makes it near impossible to even hear your TV, let alone sleep. To the management's credit, its always fixed in a day or two (unless it happens on a Friday night like it did to us recently, then you just want to stay in a hotel) because it wont be fixed until Monday at the earliest. Finally, Top Pot customers regularly block to alley leading to the two parking garages and it makes driving into our apartment VERY unsafe for vehicles and pedestrians. On days where someone is moving into one of the buildings, you have a high likelihood of not being able to get into, or out of, your parking garage and its ridiculous. I still love the staff here, they're awesome and they've been very helpful for past complaints but some of the "small stuff" is making it harder to justify the rent for living here, which is unfortunate as we really like the location. Original review: We've lived here for almost two years now and couldn't be happier. Apartments are well maintained, the staff is AMAZING from the leasing office to the maintenance crew and the location cant be beat. We've had all of our service requests completed within 24hrs max and the management even helped us get a better parking space when we asked about it. The only real downsides is the parking which can be pretty tough because you have a small access road to navigate and there is usually traffic on the weekends from Top Pot/Zeeks Pizza. It makes getting into the garage a pain at times. Sometimes residents don't pick up after their pets, but its usually cleaned up quickly. read more

Our experience with Ariel today was so terrible that we do not feel welcome or comfortable coming back to the property. We understand that we walked in 15 minutes before closing and were not expecting anything other than to gather information and possibly make an appointment for the next day. Ariel chose to address us in a very curt, rude, and unprofessional manner: arms crossed, irritated tone of voice, eyebrows raised, with an emphasis on the closing time and the lack of availability; she was clearly annoyed having to "deal" with us. On the other hand, Darlene was very courteous and polite, even apologizing for Ariel's behavior after she stomped into her office to get the file cabinet key to get us information she clearly was not interested in passing along. Ariel was even disrespectful and rude to her co-worker during their conversation of figuring out what apartments they had available. Ariel did not even introduce herself of make an attempt to recruit us to come back the following day; Darlene did all of that for her. Unfortunately, all of Darlene's efforts were not enough to make us want to return. This could have been the perfect fit for our new home and now we will never know. read more

I rented from Equity Apartments for over 4 years and was always happy. Throughout the pandemic I had a chance to transfer to WA state and was looking for an apartment in Redmond. Kellen was the person that assisted me and really went above and beyond to make sure that I would find a nice place for me and my senior dog Boomer. I was not able to see and check out my new spot in person prior to my move due to living two states away but Kellen supplied images, video and was always available for a live walk through in the apartments. His kindness established trust and I felt 100% comfortable when signing a lease. Upon arrival last October, Kellen welcomed me to my new apartment and I was stunned by its beauty. Top floor, super clean, very high ceilings made the place look very large, looking into the city center of Redmond and spectacular views of the Cascade Mountains made it all perfect. Kellen and the red160 team made sure that my living experience was 100% satisfied at all times and I can absolutely recommend to live at red160. I have been living here for almost four months now, and I love it. The apartments are in the heart of Redmond with quick access to multiple shopping complexes including Redmond Town Center. There are a TON of floorplans available in both buildings which is very accomodating as each individual has different living preferences. The online portal (almost like a mini facebook for just Red160) is awesome. This apartment community is unlike any other I've lived in. The portal makes it much easier to meet neighbors and make friends, and offers a unique opportunity to create events and post discussions as well. Friends that have visited have had nothing but good things to say about these apartments. They are very well kept, modern, and decorated so well. All the staff members are extremely genuine and kind, and always willing to help. The buildings are also very secure which is great for people who live alone, families, etc. Best place I've ever lived. Hands down. read more

Lucky to be living in Red 160!!!! I just moved into Red 160 with my wife and have been very very impressed with the complex and staff! First of all the building is first class in every aspect you can imagine in looking for the right home- clean, spacious, unique, and in the middle of downtown Redmond action. We love our apartment and are very grateful to even get a spot in Red 160. The best part of our experience has been the staff- specifically, Michelle, Miracle, and Rick. They have done EVERYTHING in their power to make our search, decision, and transition the best possible. They have been willing to meet, answer questions, and follow up any time needed. My wife and I are picky and we have searched and lived in many different apartments- we have NEVER encountered service like Red 160 before. I'd like to offer honest feedback and if the closest thing I can get to negative is the 'aggressive rent'- but in the end it is more than worth it. We are home!!! read more

Absolutely love the entire look and feel of this place! Beautiful color combinations and textures everywhere lend to a polished, modern look that still impresses me after a year and a half. I cannot say enough how great it is to live somewhere where you just know the entire staff is so caring and responsive. I feel it important to add caring because they always do just a little more than I expect like add a nice little note after a service request or be willing to take packages to my apartment if I know I won't make it to the office before closing. These things make Red160 feel more like home than any apartment I've ever lived in and I truly can't picture moving anywhere else. read more

Our tour of the property was thorough and pleasant the whole time. She showed genuine interest in our list of housing needs as well as the unique needs of our dog. We toured several properties in Downtown Redmond that day, but Darlene and red160 stood out to us the most as truly exemplary in service and quality. I've lived at Red160 for over five years and can't recommend it enough. The staff are all fantastic and go above and beyond. It's hard to imagine a more well run building. Red160 gets the small things right -- the front office is virtually always attended during business hours, and service requests are usually addressed within a couple of hours. As others have mentioned, Red160 is on the higher end of prices in Redmond, but I do feel it's worth it for the service you get. read more

I'm documenting my apartment hunting experience in the Greater Seattle area to hopefully not only find my own apartment unit but to give a fair unbiased opinion to assist others in their search as well. My girlfriend and I went in last Saturday to view 1 bedroom apartments at Red160. We didn't call so we didn't really expect help but we were taken care of very well. The leasing professional was courteous, helpful and genuine. She listened to our needs and showed us units based on our conversation. The property is well kept considering the new high rise competition in the same area. Nice spacious floor plans! However the pricing is comparable to the new competition and actually potentially even a bit more. You pay for parking like everywhere else in Redmond but the garage pricing is quite high compared to the competition as well. It is a very nice property and I'd encourage anyone to visit. I unfortunately won't be renting from Red160 but under different circumstances I would've. read more

Brand new complex in downtown Redmond. Fun place to live, new appliances, and awesome location (across the street from multiple restaurants/grocery stores). The view is beautiful from every angle, but we face east toward the Cascades. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to the construction being completed! read more
