The store clerk found my purchase transaction in their computer, but because I didn't have my receipt the refund was denied. They also won't let me return a pair without the original receipt - even though the clerk remembered me and had the computer record of my purchase. This is unacceptable. Leading retailers like Costco, Home Depot, Amazon, and scores of others have changed the game in terms of customer service. All will look-up your purchase and provide any refunds, exchanges, credits, etc based on their own records. None expect their customer to keep track of little pieces of paper that they print out in store. Fortunately, I did eventually find my original receipts. Rather than requesting the price match, I just returned for full credit all the shoes I bought; just out of spite. I immediately bought them again at another store. Never again will I shop at SoftMoc and I go out of my way to tell friends and others my experience.
