The BBQ pizza is out of this world! Each bite is a journey of the senses. The onions, sausage, pepperoni, and the BBQ are glorious. I really need to call out the crust. It's flaky with a hint of a herb that I cannot figure out. I'm usually not a crust guy, but I cannot help but devour this crust. The owner/brew master quickly greeted us once we walked in the door. The environment is family-friendly. We noticed a family with their baby on the other side of this small quaint restaurant. The overall experience was fantastic. Red Wing Brewery has a customer for life! Don't forget to check out the pizza of the month. Beer cheese pizza is scrumptious! Cannot wait for January. Tater tot hot dish pizza!!! See you January!

Nice selection of beer. Guest taps, too. Cocktails also. The pizza was great. Spent grain crust. My wife got the Minnesota pickle ham cream cheese roll pizza. Surprisingly good: I had the Buffalo chicken pizza. Very good. Smallish seating area. Brewery visible from the dining area. We were served by the brewmaster himself.

This brewery has a real hometown feel. We were welcomed the minute we walked through the door and seated ourselves. We ordered pizza and got drinks. My husband had beer and I had a mixed drink. Both were very good. We noticed any vacated table immediately got cleaned off and readied for the next customer. It was well laid out with seating and we had plenty of room for the huge pizza and our drinks. The pizza was very good.

Great calm atmosphere and so nice to have a local spot in Red Wing like this brewery. Came in on a weekday after exploring the Barn Bluff, it was pretty quiet at the time. They have a pretty big pizza menu and had things like calzones if you're interested in a bite. The beer we both tried had a shot of something in it that I can't remember, something like black currant, mixed in. It was a nice addition and something I'd never tried before. 10/10 would recommend!

One of the only places I've found a legit snake bite outside of the UK! Wish they had more food options but it was good!

We'd arrived to Red Wing not an hour before, starting the move into our new house, and needed to celebrate our fresh start with some quality local pizza. We went with Red Wing Brewery based on online reviews and pictures. We were able to order right away and sat at a table right near the front of the restaurant. On that Thursday evening, much of their business was take-out, and we soon saw why--the food is freshly-made and that takes time. That was fine by us (though we know to call ahead next time!) as we enjoyed our drinks, chatted, and watched the street outside. My husband had a meat lovers pizza, my son had a custom cheese pizza, while I had the white pizza. They were all hot and tasty, and the cheesy garlic bread was delicious, too. Definitely a pizza place to order from again!

Spur of the moment road trip to Red Wing for an evening Barn Bluff hike with the kids and a late night snack at Red Wing Brewery. Incredible staff, delicious pizza and calzones and great beer make this brewery an obligatory stop when in Red Wing. The Hawaiian calzone is worth the trip alone. Can wait to have leftovers for breakfast. Did you know they employ a lot of local kids age 14 and up, and teach them how to run a business? Now that's cool!

All three of us fully enjoyed our beer selections, and the large hearty custom pizza was sure tasty! I can't speak for my friend's selections, but I ordered the Red Boot beer and it's one of the best reds I've had in a long time. A surprising thick head, and rich flavor! Both members of my party were also seriously impressed with their choices. I was happy to find they served pizza after a day of wandering a round town and ice skating! I was also excited to find fresh basil and fresh tomato listed on their toppings list. To me, beer always goes well with vinegar and bright flavors, so I slapped some green olives on there as well. Pickles were even listed as an option! The dough was hearty, but still firm enough to pick up. They added lots of sauce which is my preference! This is a smaller space, but we decided to go at a time we thought might not be as busy. The staff spaced everyone out adequately. Free street parking, small lots around.

Oh my gosh, their pizza is good, so good and so worth ordering ahead, waiting, eating the entire thing, getting a size too big, all of the above!! We got half BBQ and half Hawaiian and we were so satisfied. The BBQ is not overbearing and the flavors of the pizza we done right. The crust doesn't get mushy and it's cooked perfectly with the right amount of sauce. The Hawaiian makes a great breakfast pizza is you have leftovers the next day as they do not skimp you on bacon! 4 stars for the size of the place and the beer. We'd definitely came for the pizza and didn't love the beer but I'm sure we will be back and have time to try others! 5+ stars for the pizza!! Covid protocols in place, very limited capacity, be prepared to wait for a table. Call ahead if you just want pizza and don't care for the beer - its totally worth it!

The pizza is so delicious! The wait to enter and be seated was long but well worth it. When you arrive, you are greeted by the staff outside, writing guests down in a notebook and giving wait times. The staff person who was present during my visit was friendly, professional, and informative. This had been my first time in the area, and the staff gave me a visitors guide for the area and explained directions to me. All staff are wearing masks, the greeter(host) is constantly doing a head count to stay in compliance. I saw staff cleaning a lot. Also, the bathrooms are super clean which is always a plus when visiting somewhere.

The first thing I think of when I think Red Wing isn't boots it's brewery and the first thing I think of when I think Red Wing Brewery is PIZZA! I have visited many times and every visit ends with the same result, outstanding pies and just run of the mill beer. Red Wing offers two sizes, 8" personal and a 16" large. I do wish they had a medium option as the personal isn't really enough to share and the 16" is way too much but then again who doesn't loge cold leftovers. They offer all your traditional pizza toppings as well as some super fun specialty pizzas. For this last visit we went with the Seoul Food: K-mama sauce, mozzarella, chicken, shredded carrots and celery This pizza was super fun. The K-Mama sauce is made in Minneapolis and has a wonderful balance of garlic, red pepper and sesame oil with a touch of brown sugar. The chicken was perfectly cooked and cut into nice cube size pieces and the celery and carrots add a nice crunch. The crust at Red Wing is a hand toss, very doughy and soft on the inside and flaky on the outside. As for the beer. I tried 3, The brown ale, the Irish red ale and historic "Remmler's Royal Brew" which is also a red ale. All 3 were extremely similar in taste and texture and a little too malty and sweet. I realize they are supposed to be malty and caramelly but there was no balance and they literally all taste the same. I will most likely go for guest taps in the future.

The atmosphere is very cozy as well. I have to add that my waitress today surprised me! In passing conversation it came up that I was taking myself out for my birthday. When I went to pay for the meal, my waitress told me that someone paid for my dinner. I was shocked and didn't know what to say! I asked her who paid for it, but she tried to play it off as she didn't know. I was very pleasantly surprised by how lovely, considerate and thoughtful it was for her to do that! I know it had to have been her because no one else knew why I was there. She truly doesn't know how much that meant to me and how that act of kindness was appreciated, especially during the current season of my life. I wish I could remember her name, but unfortunately I didn't memorize it quick enough. She didn't give me a receipt that I could look at for it. But I will never forget her or what she did and hope that I am blessed enough to chat with her again! I definitely recommend going to Liberty Restaurant when in Red Wing! You won't be disappointed! Someone told me to try the fish there, so maybe I'll have to return when they have their Friday fish special! THE FOOD!!!!! I…read moreordered through Door Dash to my hotel room so I don't have information about the location... and technically I don't have information about the staff. But I can tell you that whoever determined the menu and keeps everyone on track, and probably everyone at the restaurant put a little love into the place and a lot of love into their coworkers. You CAN taste the difference when people are happy. We went with an order of 3 large shrimp for each of us, and a half chicken and ribs with coleslaw and sweet potatoe fries. The shrimp were incredible! The size! The juiciness, the ability to get every bit of meat out of the tail! Everything about these was everything that I wanted. I couldn't believe that one serving of just 3 was so filling! (I think you would need 6 Red Lobster butterfly shrimp to equal the size of one but you cannot compare the taste as these are peel & eat.) Then I opened the protein box and realized that I had made the embarrassing mistake of not ordering a barbecue sauce. Humph. I think that should not have been such an easy mistake to make on their site. Thankfully, both of us like grilled food without dripping sauces and ... OMG ... We were not disappointed in the food! The ribs were like eating a meat candy. They were such a joy to hold the bone and just lightly pull the tender sweet meat off. There was barely any fat. The spice rub brought out the juices from deep inside the meat but only let them sit on the meat and inside the skin. The chicken was amazing! The dark meat practically ran juices down the front of our shirts as we bit into it, the same way that sweet corn does. The white meat was so juicy it was like the typical dark meat that most people achieve on Thanksgiving. Now, the coleslaw was one of the blandest I've tasted but I figured if you do have one of the spicier barbecue sauces you might be using it as a foil. Helping you to calm your mouth's fire down with the dressing. Of course, fries don't travel well and sweet potatoe are no different. But they were absolutely everything I expected. They were delicious!! I am having surgery in April and trying to see how to ship this food to me after that now. ;)

However, in execution I was a bit disappointed. I came with a group of 6, and I ordered the southwest sandwich with brisket. The disappointing thing about seeing the pass with the food in it, is that you can see your food sit. I saw my friends sandwich sitting for a good 10 minutes. It was just a bit slow. The brisket was bland, and was overpowered by the spicy aioli. They also forgot to ring up our to go order which was a bummer. The hotel breakfast across the street had a better smoked meat.

Service remained pretty good throughout our visit. We both had drinks. My husband enjoyed the Bierstube Red, while I had a bottle of Angry Orchard cider. Our cheese curd appetizer was delicious, the curds hot and squeaky with a nice layer of breading. For my main dish, I had the grilled cheese on pumpernickel along with the standard seasoned potato chips. Everything was really good--the sandwich had a great amount of cheese with a good, stringy pull. My husband LOVED the all you can eat fish fry. After finishing off the main plate, he could request more fish from our server, and she'd bring out a piece at a time on a saucer. I was in an indulgent mood, so we had dessert, too--the apple strudel. It was really good, the strudel piping-hot all the way through, served alongside a big scoop of ice cream.
