Juan and Northview Landscaping were the best landscapers I've ever used, and my experience with…read morethem was amazing. I found Juan to be very personable, great to work with, and extremely attentive to any questions or concerns I had - always responding the same day, if not the same hour. And his team did amazing work: we had fencing, cement, paver and other hardscaping work done, and I was impressed with all of it. In fact, their work was so much better than the landscapers we had used previously that I wish I had known about them beforehand! This next point I wasn't sure I should mention, but had to because it says so much about Juan's work ethic and character. During the removal of some topsoil for the hardscaping, Juan's team hit a pipe which affected the water coming into the house. When notified, Juan dropped everything to personally come and fix the issue himself, making sure to get it fixed before 5 p.m. the same day so we could have water in time for our family's dinner. Honestly, I was beyond impressed. I know mistakes happen -- but seeing Juan so dedicated to making it right was huge, and is the hallmark of someone you want to do business with again and again. Which is to say: Thank you Juan, and team. I really appreciate all your hard work. If I ever have any other landscaping needs, you'll be the first person I'll call.

We had a very good experience working with Northview Landscaping. Our project was large, involving…read morea new paver driveway, new public sidewalk, new turf install, new concrete and paver pathways, new wooden gates and a re-install of a paver patio. The project took a long time with several interruptions due to weather and permitting with the city. For a while it seemed like the sidewalk repair might not happen, but Juan and Freddie were able to work it out with the city and the new sidewalk looks great. Our new paver driveway looks amazing and has given us way more space. The new retaining wall curves around the corner to the street, which was a detail in the design that I really wanted, and they were able to deliver. So far after a few heavy rainstorms everything seems to be draining properly. The plants and landscaping are starting to fill in and I'm hoping that the plants thrive over the summer after some pretty nasty weather the last couple months. Perhaps the best part of the project has turned out to be the backyard where we replaced the grass lawn with turf and had the paver patio re-installed. It looks really nice and the dogs love it. I love that I don't have to spend hours weeding it and worrying about foxtails in dog feet or noses. There is still one step left before completion, since we ended up having to replace our sewer pipe to the street which left a small section of the paver driveway. Overall Northview did great work on a big job with some complicated permitting requirements. They were always respectful, polite and communicative. I'll definitely contact them again for future work and would recommend Northview Landscaping to friends and neighbors.

A Year of Excuses and Zero Accountability - Avoid Thomas Landscaping…read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. We hired Thomas Landscaping to pour concrete in November 2023, and it's been one long chain of excuses and frustration ever since. By December, we noticed the concrete color was completely wrong. When we contacted them, we were told it was "still curing." That same excuse continued for months -- even nine months later! Despite countless emails, texts, and photos, nothing was done. After consulting several independent contractors, we learned the issue was likely caused by moisture during the winter pour -- and that it would never correct itself. When their own concrete rep finally admitted the same, they still didn't take responsibility. Their insurance refused to cover the work because of missing paperwork and uninsured subcontractors. In the end, we paid $47,000 to have the entire job redone ourselves. Their "settlement" offer? $5,000. This experience has been exhausting, expensive, and incredibly disappointing. Please save yourself the stress and money -- avoid Thomas Landscaping at all costs.

Our contractor found him, and then we personally vetted him through our friends and he came highly recommended. He is well connected with many nurseries and stone companies. Chad worked with our builder regarding a skeleton design of plant/tree placement and selection. He then revised with us personally later to fine tune exactly the look and feel we're going for. He knows his plants and trees. He knows how to design them to be in places where they will be visually pleasing and where they will thrive in sun vs shade. We opted to have him put all our drip systems and sprinkler systems in initially. We are currently working with him on design of additional backyard landscaping that will Correspondence to drip system he laid. He's professional, timely, and experienced! We highly recommend him!

He listened to me, went over a plan that I had drawn, suggested some changes which made sense. He took measurements that day, went to his truck to do some research on pricing materials so that he could show me what the various categories might cost. He was very professional and spent a lot of time educating me and explaining various choices and costs associated and other options. I'm sure that there might be less expensive landscapers out there but not more dedicated or professional. I can't wait for my new yards and irrigation are updated in early fall. Worth the wait I'm sure, and I'm sure the value will reflect in the good planning that Sam put in I'll check back in when the work is completed.

Great insights and guidance to what's possible. Now the details When we rebuilt our house, after losing it in a wildfire, we were not looking forward to more rebuilding. Our backyard was a mud pit and needless to say required a lot of work. When we first began looking for landscape contractors, we obtained six estimates before deciding to work with Chris. Chris came out and took his time walking our yard and talked with us in great detail about the drainage system we needed, given that our lot is a good 2 feet higher than the two lots behind us. We found him to be much more knowledgeable and thorough then any of the other contractors we talked to. He also really understood our vision of what we wanted and offered great guidance from his expertise. He communicated wonderfully throughout each job he has done for us. We have hired him 3 times for drainage, irrigation, paving stones, lattice extension on fence, building pergola and building deck for hot tub, built outdoor shower, and put in trees. I'm sure I'm leaving stuff out, but just know he can do it all. We also use his company for regular yard maintenance and have had a wonderful experience with Richard his lawn maintenance guy. We highly recommend Chris for any and all of your landscaping, upgrading, rebuilding needs!! Please see before and after pictures attached!
