I was fortunate enough to find a spot to park on the street. I didn't see other parking, but I also didn't look. There is a nice outdoor sitting area, but it was too cold for sitting outside. We walked in and was promptly seated. There were other patrons, but the place wasn't crowded. We sat in the bar area, It looked like the other indoor seating was closed for the night. We both really wanted to try their pizzas. My date ordered the Meat Eaters pizza with the Garlic Parmesan crust, I got the Chicken Bacon Ranch with the Garlic Butter crust. I mention the crusts, because you can order special flavoring to the crusts. Each time you go you can order the same pizza, but with a different crust and change it up a little. Both pizzas were good. My date preferred the Chicken Bacon Ranch and I liked the meat eaters better... but both were good. I think it was the garlic Parmesan crust that pushed the meat eaters over the edge for me... so keep that in mind. The crust was crispy the way it should be, and the toppings cooked perfectly. I liked the atmosphere. The owner went with the repurposed building motif. Which I happen to be a fan. They have the pizza oven right in the bar area so you can see what you order being made. Our service was good. There were a couple of times I ran out of a drink and had to wait to get a refill, but other than that the staff was good. They also indulged us as we stayed right up to... and a little past closing time.. I think they could tell we were into our conversation. The whole place made for a good date. Definitely recommend.

Matt and his colleague came today to inspect and clean two fireplaces - one gas and one…read morewood-burning - that have not been cleaned or professionally examined in over 10 years. Matt was fantastic - professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. He educated us on the maintenance needs of both fireplaces. Gave recommendations on options for our 75+ year old masonry. Did ONLY what was needed today based on how we use the units and what we were looking for. He could have "taken us" for more work or money given that we are not well-educated on fireplaces, but instead he took the time to explain what was needed (and not). He took pictures, explained work that is needed, and inspected the outside masonry of the chimneys. Will 100% call again for further refurbishment and annual maintenance/cleanings. 100% recommend Matt. Sarah - who responded to my web inquiry - was friendly, responsiveness, and flexible also. Work was scheduled in less than a week from my initial request. THANK YOU to Capital Chimney Chicago! Highest recommendation.

We got the inspection scheduled just as fast. On the day of the inspection, Chris called me to keep me updated throughout the day. The only thing I would slightly ding them for is that they arrived pretty much at the end of the appointment window. However, Chris kept me updated on his status. As promised, he sent me the photos, inspection report and the quote for suggested repairs the next morning. All around pleased with the experience! The team at Capital Chimney was quick, responsive and did the job. Recommend if you're looking for inspections!

We had an apparently slow leak around our chimney and through the top crown [cracks] that had…read morecaused significant damage in our attic before we discovered it. I called Pratt Chimney and Steve came out within a couple of days to give his evaluation. We needed to have the chimney repaired, attic restoration for water damage, and drywall replacement and painting done. Steve worked us into their cramped schedule in order to prevent further damage as much as possible. Work was scheduled to start a couple of weeks after the estimate. Because heavy rain was expected before the scheduled work start date, Pratt came our and secured a tarp over the chimney areas to prevent further damage. Brad and his assistant were amazing, courteous, and hard working, completing the job with the required follow-up to allow concrete to set properly, perform water testing, et al. The thorough water test of the chimney and the flashing around it revealed further leak points which required full replacement of the flashing by a Pratt Sub-contractor. Final test showed no leaks. I was then able to schedule the other repairs that were required to complete the attic and room drywall damage abatement. One other thing, the original work was completed in June 2020 [I thought that I had entered a review at that time, but it appears that I did not :-(]. In May, 2022, We noticed water dripping in the basement from an apparent leak around a sewer vent pipe [not associated with the chimney]. I called Pratt to see whether I could get their sub-contractor who did the flashing on our chimney to repair this job. He was not available to me, so Steve sent one of his guys out [another super courteous young man], who went on the roof and caulked around the vent pipe, as well as the exposed nail heads there and around the attic vents. All I can say is that I would recommend Pratt's Chimney without hesitation!!!

Andrew, our technician, was diligent and very successful in removing soot from our beautiful limestone fireplace. He understood the challenge and complexity besides being very tidy in the process. He offered to remove his boots as he went to investigate our leaking issues surrounding our chimney. He took thorough pictures and notes on the issues and encouraged me to reach out to the roofers we used over the summer. Just after he left, Luke sent me a quote including his detailed recommendations and pictures/video/observations. I felt respected, heard, and he not only quoted me, but offered to help me navigate next steps with the roofers who need to fix said problems. Because of his professionalism and kindness, I would absolutely recommend him to others and will keep this company in mind for any other needs. If our roofers refuse to complete the job and repair said issues, we will absolutely use QF&CS. I wish I would've had them do this originally!

Charged $704 and no cleaning. I was suspicious so i called our builder who recommended another company. As the other reviews on this page note, i was told by the 2nd company there was no damage and no need for any relining. To add insult to inury they tried to tell me that "relining" isnt as good as replacing the "whole chimney" for $35,000. The 2nd company said that there was no need for any repair but if there were, a relining was about $1,600. This is fraud. And if they say we aren't listed as a customer as apparently they do, I will post the invoice and the charge. Beware.
