And no I didn't complain, I just cleaned it myself. The counter areas where the tv and desk are were not wiped down and cleaned at all. Sticky drink rings in 3 different areas. Counters themselves were sticky, crumbs on the counter and on the floor. Floor was not vacuumed at all. Even the hallway to going to my room was dirty and not vacuumed. Finger prints all over the windows. It was disappointing to see but I gave 4 stars because the staff was so friendly and I usually always have a great experience at all Hiltons

A coworker suggested I stay at another hotel about an hour away, based on his stays in the past. The lady who checked me in was nice and friendly. My room looked nice at first glance. The underside of the toilet seat and its base were not clean. Mildew in the shower and along the bathroom floor. It was late and the hotel was full so I wasn't offered options of another room. There was no hot water in the shower the next morning. I waited about 20 minutes and still no hot water. Waited some more but had to endure a really cold shower on a very cold day. I mentioned the lack of hot water to the front desk clerk who said there is only one hot water heater and it always runs out when the hotel is full. I suggested the hotel upgrade the current equipment or get an additional one. The clerk just shrugged her shoulders as if it would never happen. Since I was running late, I picked up the grab & go breakfast bag. Another big disappointment as the banana was brown and the bagel was past its expiration date. Another fail! Next time I will listen to my coworker and stay in another town. I suggest avoiding this hotel until they get their hot water situation fixed.

We are already planning on stopping here again next year. The hotel was comfortable and clean and the employees were very nice. The outdoor pool was nice and private. Our room was clean and I loved the decor. Breakfast was just so so for me - we've had better at other Hamptons - but it filled us up so we didn't have to stop anywhere else before we got back on the road. They offer complimentary breakfast which consist of buffet style and typical American breakfast offerings. The Inn is historic and has that look and feel of old time luxury with high ceilings, wood floors, and massive foyer/staircase with beautiful chandelier. They have free WiFi and I was able to get a lot of work done at the desk located in the room, in addition to getting great sleep on their oversized plush king size bed. Interrupted the young lady who was in the back office with headphones in. Explained my room was full of ants. She didn't even apologize, simply said well that's not good and changed me to a different room. I didn't get the impression she was surprised to hear there were ants all over one of the rooms in the hotel. The interaction felt rushed and she seemed disinterested and distracted (still had one of her two ear pods in while talking with me). She rebooks me into the room across the hallway from my original room (now I'm in 416) and gets me a new key. Upon entering my new room it smells so strong I have to leave the door open for 10 minutes to try and air it out. It was so pungent it was actually hard to breathe at first. Some combination of dirty locker room and severe mildew. Either the odor finally aired out or I just got used to the smell, but it eventually went away. Finally I get to sleep and all should now be right in the world. Only I wake up the next morning and come to realize there is no toilet paper. None at all. Of course, I realize this at the most unfortunate time, after I have already used the toilet and now in need of the aforementioned toilet paper. I've traveled more than 2/3rds of this year for business staying exclusively at Hilton brand hotels. My account says 34 stays for 96 total night so far (it's mid September). Most have been acceptable. My last few stays at this particular hotel were decent. This experience, however, has motivated me to look into switching to Marriott and their family of hotels for all my future stays. UPDATE: Stopped in at the front desk early in the morning and let them know my room had no toilet paper. The lady asked if I was headed back up as she looked for some to hand to me, again no apology. I said I was on my way out to work, but asked if she could have someone bring some up and place it in my room. Returned after a 10 hour work day...wouldn't you know it, no toilet paper in my room.

The next morning we came down and talked to Cody about our disappointments, he listened patiently and then searched for possible solutions, we got lucky that Philp canceled a reservation at their nearby Cabin, so Cody transferred us to this beautiful Cabin in the woods which was more than we could ever have wanted to have a magical and peaceful Valentine's Weekend. We also ordered the Valentine's Dinner from the restaurant "Waterfall Grille" and it was personally delivered by Cody, the food was excellent. I have to confess that after the initial displeasure I saw no possibility for me to give 5 stars to this place, but Cody went above and beyond to make this a complete turn around and we finished our trip to North Georgia on a very happy note... After departing we had "Cabin withdrawal" for the next 2 days!
