In years previous we had been seeing a private accountant and decided to give Phoenician a try simply because they were conveniently located for us. We popped in and were directed to speak to Sam, who was helpful, and eager to help us out. We primarily had Abbas dealing with our income taxes and he really helped us get to the nitty gritty and dealt with all our spreadsheets in a most efficient manner. Any questions he had he contacted us by phone and email, which I really appreciated that he did both. They literally completed our taxes for this year in less them 72 hours. Plus they used the information from our taxes last year and offered that they could help us out on those ones as well because we felt they were incorrectly filed from our last accountant- right away they saw what was missing and were super great about also completing our taxes for 2015 in record time as well. Cost wise they were a really cost effective switch for us and I felt they offered services better than what our private accountant was offering. I have to put a little shout out to the front desk staff as well who are super friendly and always have a big smile for us when we come in. We are excited to use their services again and won't hesitate to recommend them to our friends and family.

Like most people, I don't know much about accounting so I was looking for help but one of their accountants, Vadim out of St ALbert SCREWED ME OVER. He nearly forced me to incorporate my extremely small business. I am a subcontractor and make less that 50k and he thought incorporating would be best. I disagreed but he filed for incorporation anyways. When i brought up my confusion and made it clear that is never what I wanted, he threatened me with collections and tricked me with a meeting but instead gave me a bill. I've never been more confused or more frustrated in my life. I am still dealing with the fallout of his poor business tactics. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE.

It has caused me nothing but stress, time away from work and financial hardship. My broker has changed multiple times during my 1 year being insured with Leibel. I actually don't even know who my broker is because I am always receiving contact from other people. The broker I am constantly referred back to (Chelsea Thomas) has some of the worse attitude and customer service I have ever encountered. She truly should not be in the industry as you can tell that she doesn't enjoy her job. She constantly has a poor attitude and is extremely difficult to contact even for other brokers. She has been nothing but unhelpful and rude to me. I have been told multiple things by multiple people looking for resolutions but I am always brought back to Chelsea who ultimately tells me nothing can be done. She has actually done NOTHING to assist me other than telling me "she can't help". That has been the furthest extent of conversation from her. I almost wonder if she knows me personally and has some type of vendetta out for me, because I really have never been treated this poorly not even by her co workers. This company has taken over $900 from me that was unauthorized. They did not provide me informed consent, and are now being so ridiculously unavailable and unhelpful it's just mind boggling. It's crazy that it is easier to file a fraud claim with my bank than it is to try and just resolve the issue with Leibel. I am hoping this review will get my situation rectified as I was nothing but a good client who paid on time. At this point, I will not be recommending this company to anyone. If no resolve is made or contact attempts returned, I am just going to proceed with my bank, I will also be filing a complaint against the broker with her association as well as contacting the BBB to complain. If the news is willing to take this story, I will also be doing this as I don't want anyone to suffer the stress I am dealing with. This has had such a tremendous impact on me, truly I do not even know the words to try and explain the gravity of how serious it is that YOU AVOID LEIBEL INSURANCE. I was told that tax return for self employed individuals cost $80 when I booked my appointment over the phone.By the time they were done with me, I paid $145. Here's their explanation: $40 for personal tax return + $80 for self employed tax return + $20 for having transportation/vehicle expenses claim. Lucky for me, I did all my receipt and expenses calculations already, otherwise that would have cost me more. I was surprised they didnt start charging for every paper clip and staple they used to prep my tax return!! A bookeeper preps your paperwork, not an accountant. The accountant in the office DOES NOT check the paperwork prior to filing. Next time, I will just purchase a turbotax software and do it myself. Filing with Trehan Accounting office is a complete RIP OFF. PS. The google reviews I found online were written by their own office staff.
