Overall a good experience! We left our pets here for a little over a week. We had one issue but Britney on the phone made it right. Our dog did come home with a limp, but is doing much better now. No fault of red ruff, there's nothing they could really do for a minor strain. Our dog is on the older side and I believe he just did too much activities over a long period of time. She explained that they kept a close eye on him and made sure he was comfortable. She said that both pets did well and had a fun time. She was very friendly and assuring. I know if anything truly bad happened, they would've called. Maybe next time, I'll make sure the visit is shorter so my dog doesn't overdo it again. Our dogs have been boarded here twice. Upon pickup they smelled horrible, I had to drive home with the windows cracked. I don't expect them to be fresh and clean, but not smelling this atrocious. On top of that, after the last stay one of dogs contracted Kennel Cough (yes, our dogs were, and are, vaccinated. read more

I had a reservation for a dog- daycare for this Saturday (in 5 days,) and besides an email, hadn't received any correspondence. So I decided to call and that's when I found out they do not do doggy daycare on Saturdays-- despite my reservation. read more

I would expect a business that takes care of animals to have more attentive care to someone's pet. We want to thank the entire staff at Red Ruff Inn. We have been with them since they opened. Recently, we had to go to Denver for medical care on short notice. When I contacted them, they told me we could board our dog there as long as we needed to. They eliminated a huge worry for us. He is always loved and well cared for by everyone there. Called for reservation, had problems with moving truck called twice before arriving letting them know i would be fifteen minutes late. They said they would work with me upon arrival. Get there and they won't answer phone/message or knock on the door. I wait thinking they're busy, employee sees me waiting and calls cops instead of calling me. Never get my business. We've been loyal and pleased for many years with all the great services Red Ruff provides. They have a magnificent new building with so many indoor and outdoor play areas for dogs of all sizes and temperament. There's no better feeling than picking up my three exhausted kiddos. The staff is second to none and always greet me and the babes with a smile. If it's pool parties in the summer or indoor zoomy sessions in a blizzard I know they'll always be looked after and cared for. We've had a few nicks and scrapes over the years which is expected when a bunch of pups are partying. The expert staff has always cared for and been compassionate to my kids. I would trust them with all of my fur babies under any circumstance. Receiving a sympathy note, and photos taken at day care, for a dog of ours that passed away shows the true character of the owners and employees of the Red Ruff Inn. read more

Horrible Kennel in my opinion, due to an unfortunate incident with my 11 month old pup. My dogs were there 8 hours before I received a call saying one of them was hurt and needed to go to the vet. Long story short, Dog had to have small surgery and I'm having to take them to small claims court over it. I had heard from others that they frequently have to take the boarded dogs to vets for injuries, but gave them a chance...hindsight, I should have heeded the injury knowledge. 1/6 - To update...my problem with the kennel is how they have dealt with the situation and changed the story 5 times now of how my dog got injured. That's simply not acceptable. I recommend against boarding any dogs here (not familiar with their day care), but just be aware of how they treat people if you go here and know that they don't really monitor their animals, as I was told they did. Because I let them know that I was aware of many other dog injuries, they are now trying to have others make it "okay" and "acceptable". Why are so many animals getting injured acceptable? Isn't the reason we board our babies to have someone ensure their safety when we cannot? read more

Love them. Took my border collie there for daycare while I was visiting Cheyenne and he was nice and worn out at the end of the day. Excellent staff that did a paperwork check on my dog. This made me super happy. They separate by size and have huge running areas for the dogs. Loved it and will do it again! read more

We've been taking our dogs to both daycare and hotel here for years, and they've all loved it. Our current pair is a super-chill Aussie-Catahoula mix... and a large boxer-mastiff mix pup who is EXTREMELY excitable/fearful, and can be problematic on walks (rabbits) and terrible at the vet (obvs). Our young trouble-maker LOVES going to daycare, and just came through a 4-day/3-night stay at Red Ruff Inn like a champ. That staff is so great at handling ALL sorts of dogs, and they do an amazing job with our challenging pup. We've been a little nervous about leaving these dogs in the past, but are now confident that we've found a safe and happy place for them to them to be when we/they can't be home. Leaving one star is VERY generous. We left our little black dachsund here for the weekend and his bed was covered with other dogs hair, and worst of all, all of his hair was missing from the sides and the top of his head from being raped. Our family was VERY upset! Our dog was clearing abused. DO NOT go here unless you hate your pet. read more
