SCAM ALERT
Worked with Chris on a restaurant construction project. He promises this and that and then removes items from the scope of work in his contract, tricking you into his promise and under delivery with the guise of his deceiving contracts. He removes scopes of work he deems expensive, doesn't tell you and adds those dollars into his pocket. He forgets conversations you had. incomplete work. Over charges, double charges, anything he can get away with.
he submits "engineered" drawings without stamps - then turns around and charges you for engineered stamps as if that wasn't an expectation for mechanical and electrical drawings. scam. oh, and he tells you this is all included. the story changes the more you work with him. always.
He performed all the work himself (crappy finishings that your cousin might give you after charging top dollar contractor rates).
he then produced unusable drawings for another larger project before we figured out his game, and after paying him $8000. drawings were 2 mnths late (causing a late project start), and having to be paid and redone by actual professionals who would not revise his work, review and stamp it.
he assigned 7 more washrooms than needed by code, all so he can then overcharge you for co reacting the project. (and he has ZERO people who work with him so he will never finish on time).
he's cocky. he talks too much while forgetting details we discussed conveniently. he has his dogs illegally climbing through the back of his pick up truck all day at the worksite - which is actually cruelty to his poor animals. he will bring them, friends and children into your work site (which is illegal during construction).
Chris is an absolute liar, thief and con man.
