Impossible to get help from employees and service is incredibly slow. I recommend not going here

Worst fast food restaurant I have been to, all the tables are dirty, toilets are unusable, no hand sanitizer. The food was alright but I found a bit of a glove in my roll. STAY AWAY!!! read more

I must say, though, that not only do kebabs make an excellent meal for the inebriated, they are also a delicious between-lecture lunch. If you spend an inordinate amount of time at the QUT Guild Bar before/after/during lectures, then kebabs hit the spot on both counts! (Note: I have never attended a lecture while drunk. Or only once or twice... a month). To be honest, most of the times that I went to Kebab O Clock quality was the last thing on my mind. I was hungry, poor, and impatient. The fact that the kebabs here are actually above-par was a pleasant surprise and kept me coming back. I love the outdoor seating area here because it's shaded by a beautiful big fig tree. Kebab O Clock is an excellent reason to go to uni or get drunk, or both simultaneously if you're that way inclined.

I ordered the cheeseburger and fries, so nothing crazy, but I'm not going to lie, they make a ridiculously good smash burger. If you're in a hurry and looking for something that tastes great and is ready super fast, make it a point to stop by Jee's! Two thumbs and two toes way up for Jee's! Happy eating, my foodies!
I'd been walking by this place for a week now and finally decided to go in. I asked the girl at the…read moreregister if they could give me a bunless option, to which she said yes. I suppose I should've been a little clearer as I'd wanted a lettuce wrap. Not a huge deal as they had plastic ware on site. I chose the bacon burger with two patties. The burgers were very juicy and grilled to perfection. The bacon could have been more crispy, but not a deal breaker. I chose the chipotle mayo which was tasty and paired well with the fries. The fries were crispy and had a flavorful seasoning on them. To round it out, I got a peanutbutter milkshake at the suggestion of the cashier; she said they were delicious. She was not wrong. The shake was awesome! The restaurant is fairly small and there's not much to talk about other than the cool wallpaper and weekly top 20 beats pumping through the stereo. Great place to get a burger and hang out.

I think I was already in lust with Botanica before I walked through their doors with perfectly spaced and aesthetically pleasing typography, but it was definitely love when I walked out with a fresh loaf of sourdough and freshly-made-that-morning Beetroot Slaw. The brainchild of two ex-private chefs for the Packers amongst other Australian celebs, Botanica is about one thing: Real Food. Daily made fresh salads, fresh loaves of bread, and small cakes. All take-away and all presentable on a dinner plate to either proudly boast where acquired or past off as your own divine creations. My small beetroot slaw was a neat $10 and fed two as a dinner side as well as enough left over to make friends with an egg and some fetta this morning for breakfast. Best of all they're open til 7pm, meaning you can pop in on your way home for those times when cooking seems too much but a oil deep fried takeaway dinner is equally lacking in appeal.

However, there were certainly a lot of them for the price I paid (a mere $2.50 worth). The fish was better and it was the same deal in terms of size - the serving was huge. It was also fattier and more heavily crumbed than what I'd prefer, with the crumbed coating of the fish being almost a meal in itself. (The fish inside was pretty decent.) What I liked about this place was the woman serving me was super-friendly. We had a chat for the ten minutes or so I waited inside for my food. The chairs and tables outside were filled up with a bunch of bloke types who looked like they enjoy their beer and footie, and I didn't want to linger outside in case an interaction of the "How's it goin', love?" type started up. When they left, we took their table. They were surprisingly neat and even threw their scraps into the bin. Maybe it's time for me to put my blokey-football stereotype to bed. Nah. It's not that the food is awful, it's just that there's much better fish and chips around. Red Ocean Seafood at Red Hill comes immediately to mind.

It seems to be the offical chippy day off, so to find a place that's open on Monday's and isn't too far away is pretty nifty. 3. The staff are awesome and hilarious. Super chatty, plus the lady behind the counter told me they're closed for a few days to paint the shop 'so when you come back you come back to a nice clean fresh shop'. Gotta love that. Located in the car park of the Thai Restaurant, it's a grand idea for Thursday lunch time and one I hope grows with time. But back to That BBQ Joint. It's a small food truck with just enough room for two inside but that doesn't seem to stop them serving up delicious BBQ meats like pulled pork and brisket. I went for the Brisket Roll which also comes with cheese, slaw and their home-made BBQ sauce. Their 12 hour smoked Brisket is clearly the star of this roll, and frankly, I'd be happy to eat a plate of that alone. It's tender, smokey in all the right ways and their BBQ sauce compliments it so very well. Everything else around it is just supporting acts. The roll itself isn't gourmet, just a plain hamburger roll. It's easy to see I'm not alone in thinking this as That BBQ Joint had the longest line by far as I arrived. Do yourself a favour: seek their next location and part with the best $10 you'll spend.

Both were top shelf and the serving sizes were more than adequate. The mixed plate has both pulled pork and beef brisket as well as either slaw or potato and bacon salad (my choice!). The meat is to die for especially the brisket which melts in your mouth. My son could only get through half of his roll as it was sooo stacked with pork and slaw. My only issues were that the ribs weren't available and they were the initial attraction especially for my son. Also, I'm not sure about (free) parking although others may be able to suggest spots. Highly recommend.

I ordered the corn soup and they forgot to bring it. Once I finally got it, it wasn't that good - not enough corn. It's not the same as the one at Curry House which I really like. 2. I didn't like my BBQ Beef sushi burger. The flavor is good but the rice bun falls apart and I felt like I was eating a bowl of rice with my hands like an animal. Within two bites, I wished I had a spoon. The BBQ Beef was like one giant strip of meat, so that after the first bite, I couldn't tear it and I kept eating it (it was never ending like a clown's handkerchief). So all the beef was gone after a bite or two, and all I had left was rice and the veggies. 3. They don't let you make changes. I wanted tomato on my burger but they wouldn't do it.
Mmmm, Mos Burger.
