Red Rocks Trading Post
Travis T.

This is a nice place to shop while visiting Red Rocks State Park. The Red Rocks Trading Post was constructed almost a hundred years ago by W.R. Rosche. There are several gift items, apparel and historical memorabilia inside of the Trading Post. It is a nice gift shop and was once home to the museum. If you want to do a nice scenic hike, the Trading Post Trail is 1.5 miles and begins here. I spent a little time on the trail and enjoyed the views of the park. There is also an area behind the Trading Post that gives you a nice view of the park if you don't want to walk on the trail. The Red Rocks Trading Post was originally called the Indian Concession House and is built in a Pueblo Revival style. It was constructed before the amphitheatre was built. There is a room in the Trading Post that showcases the history of the amphitheatre with photos of the many musical performances that took place in it. I visited Red Rocks in the summer on a warm day and found myself hanging out in here for some cool air conditioning. The staff is both helpful and really nice.

This is an easy starting point at Red Rocks. An old timey charm. Theres some parking out front, which luckily we found a spot. This is a great place to sort of plan your day out and get your bearings. You can decide if you want to go to one of the hiking trails, or straight up to the amphitheater, or go visit the other parts of the park via car by taking one of those winding roads. You can review a paper map, or look online for help. I learned a little bit about the amphitheater before we headed up. There is lots of merch for purchase, or you can buy snacks. The bathrooms are out back. I think there's even a water station too. There's nice views out back as well for pictures. My favorite part of the post was the art corner area. It has items for purchase, and worth checking out. The staff was friendly, and they were open to questions.

The Trading Post is a great place to visit at Red Rocks Park. It is located near the entrance of the amphitheater. There are also a few trails nearby if you're planning to hike. There are a few small parking lots around the area. We arrived early on a Wednesday and had no difficulty finding a spot. The Trading Post is essentially a gift shop that has all sorts or merchandise like t-shirts, mugs, hats, etc. The staff is very friendly and can assist you if you have questions about the merch, hiking trails, or upcoming shows at the amphitheater. In addition to gifts, they sell snacks and beverages. As with any gift shop, the prices are pretty steep. I rarely buy souvenirs while on vacation, but Red Rocks has been on my bucket list so I made an exception and purchased a t-shirt and coffee mug. I also bought a small bag of peanut butter pretzels (which weren't that great) and water. If you're planning to hike, save some money and bring your own water and snacks. The Trading Post has restrooms which were very clean during our visit. There's a small section in the shop that features the history of the Trading Post and the back area has some beautiful views of Red Rocks. It was a great way to start our visit at the park.

It wasn't open till 10-11 am. We've there for the sunrise moment at red rock amphitheater. We walked around the trading post garden, and there's a trail leading up to the amphitheater.

Cool place to pick up souvenirs. They have like a mini hall of fame with some stuff from different artists, mostly John Denver. "Mr. Rocky mountain high himself" Definitely a cool place to visit when at Redrocks while your hiking around.

Awesome spot to visit when coming here. Lots of info and good set up. Loved that it's dog friendly. We got souvenirs even they are crazy expensive. Also convenience store for concert goers.

Can I just be happy this Trading Post was open???? Sure I can! It was the start of a blizzard outside and the main museum and store was closed up at the amphitheater, so as we were driving down the road to exit I was tickled to see this store was open! Red Rocks was a must see for me and of course I wanted souvenirs for this trip! All of us each picked out a little something and enjoyed the store/museum and the wide variety of merchandise. The cashier was friendly and we were the only ones in the store... probably because of the crazy weather? I am still 5 star thrilled they were open! Next time!!! Until next time~

This was my souvenir stop. Right at the tail end of Trading Post Trail I found a pleasant surprise in the Colorado Music Hall of Fame and Red Rocks gift shop. It's in the Lower South Lot if you wanna base your hike or spending spree like me. We were in the Upper North Lot so it took a little more TLC to keep my $23 mug and stickers intact on the way back up. A lot of music history spewed throughout the building. More folk-centered with an emphasis on John Denver (go figure) and everything's priced as you'd expect for for a tourist-attracting gift shop for the infamous Red Rocks Amph. If you're a sucker for venue branding and have the moolah to spend, this would be your chance onsite.

Nice souvenir spot. Lots of history on Colorado music hall of fame and of red rocks amphitheater. It's a gift shop and a mini museum. Cool place to check out if you're at red rocks amphitheater.

Storefront, good covid precautions in place.

if you buy water, Gatorade etc at this stop, do NOT open it if you plan to take it into the amphitheater.
