I never take the time to write reviews but I had to spread the word. My family and I had the best i mean top Knoch experience at dinner last night. When I tell you the food is the best Cape cod has seen in a long time. The amount of gluten free options is well beyond most in the area. Besides how great the food is the staff was great as well. Our server Courtney could answer anything thrown at her about the menu and got all 8 of our drinks and meals correct without using a pen. I have to admit we were nervous something would be wrong, but after watching her serve the room we knew we would be ok. If you are looking for good food and excellent service give them a try. RRBBQ is definitely now on my permanent visit list. Fantastic food, fantastic, friendly staff, and very comfortable atmosphere. The drink menu nicely compliments the food. The BBQ tater tots appetizer is amazing. I could taste it before the fork hit my lips. Pulled pork and brisket shouldn't be missed, either. Their meats carry a hearty and delicious smokiness that's unlike that in other barbecue shops I've been to. Their fries are great and they even nailed the coleslaw. Nobody nails coleslaw. read more

Definitely a must try if you are on the cape We stopped in after a long day I had the brisket platter the brisket was tender and juicy 'em with just the right amount of smoke for side we had cowboy beans which were very good and the corn bread which was awesome The potato salad and French fries were ok. My wife had the smoked half chicken which she loved it was moist juicy and very tender with subtle smoke. For desert we split a peach cobbler which was easily the best I had the peaches were fresh and the cobbler had the perfect combination of crum cinnamon and crunch all smothered in fresh whipped cream Service was very good attentive and friendly We will definitely visit next time we are down the cape read more

'Just a few blocks across the street from where I live, Chef Moi tried this place within its first week of operation. I experienced/felt "nah" as food was lackluster mediocre. Service was way too "Country-Cowboy" casual themed, superficial and our waitstaff was oblivious to basic courtesy. Today, the emphasis, ambience is far less country-cowboy (yay!!). I encountered only 3 people at the bar, no one but me seated and still the waitstaff is scurrying for people who have yet to come. When a young gent from the kitchen surfaced to quench his thirst, I asked him about the menu and recommendations. The waitstaff failed to recommend anything other than what I ordered. They might have wanted to recommend add-ons, upsell?? Regular, full meals come w/cornbread and slaw, my $28 *special* did NOT. The meal was marginally better this time than last, although the side of slaw I ordered was so salty it was inedible. Waitstaff remains the same and fails to recognize the needs of the customer. I had to hear a lot of derogatory talk about "work" from the two waitstaff attending. They appeared to be more consumed with themselves than the customer's dining experience. The kitchen really needs to do 'pre-meal' w/FOH. Panna cotta (my FAVORITE) was a dessert choice, (and complimentary for Mother's Day) but my waitstaff didn't know what the flavor nor sauce was... good thing it was complimentary because one bite in was another "No." read more

Big surprise. Drove by often but never stopped in. Inside is very nice. Sit in the bar section. Cornbread, fries and Mac & cheese very good. Next time cook both the fries and M&C a little longer. Finally - Good BBQ in New England! We had such a wonderful dinner here. Our server Sarah was delightful and very helpful. She was a one woman show who efficiently handled all clients, including take out, with patience and a smile. The hush puppies and jalapeño corn fritters were fried to perfection and delicious. The jalapeño was subtle and not overwhelming. The ribs were tender and flavorful. The surprise of the evening was the baked beans! 3 types of beans that weren't swimming in a gluey sauce but were light and packed with flavor. The Mac and cheese was creamy and addicting. The inside has a fun Western vibe where people were enjoying sitting at the bar and playing games while catching up with friends. An overall friendly and casual setting. There was even a lite banter amongst some of the clients who were sharing recommendations to some who were unsure what to order. We are only in the area for a few days but already know that we will be eating here again before we leave! read more

This place is the talk of the town. As it should be. Food is fantastic , service even better. Courtney our server was like watching someone dancing around the restaurant carrying more dirty dishes at once then anyone I've seen before. Courtney over heard my little boy Jax name and called him by his name. He felt so special all of 3 years old. Highly recommend!!! Ask for Courtney if you want service with a smile while dancing around the dining room! I was amazed by her customer service. Cape Cod needs more restaurants and servers like her. Our first time at Red River BBQ, last night! Excellent experience from the moment we walked in. I love the bright, uncluttered atmosphere, tables are nicely spaced so you have room and can talk! The bar and bar room is very cozy with windows behind the bar and even a bay window - very cool! The server Christian was great, greeted us immediately and made sure to get our drink order in right away. He also checked if we had any questions in the menu. We decided to do 1 salad, 1 small plate - the fried shrimp & grits (OMG YUM!!!) and 1 spare rib platter with fries added. The first word that comes to mind about the food and drinks is FRESH! I had a margarita and you could tell immediately is was made with fresh lime juice, the salad came- again beautiful, fresh lettuce with a homemade dressing. Let's go back to the fried shrimp & grits they were the kind of CRUNCHY that you don't often get and the grits were creamy, cheesy and delicious! The ribs were tasty, fall-off the bone with just the right amount of BBQ sauce! The fries are made fresh and we ordered a second basket of the corn bread with honey butter! It was such a enjoyable evening with great drinks and fresh, delicious food! What we ordered was perfect for the two of us -- but we had nothing to take home, we ate it all!!! It was so good! The waitperson was so willing to help with recommendations I personally like it when is willing to guild you with the menu. The brisket sandwich was so good. Melt in your mouth goodness! Non of the topping took away from the brisket and let it be the star. The coldslaw was very good and the French fries were Hot. I hate it when your fries are cold! Ok my pet peeve! The bang bang shrimp needed more spice for me. They were cooked correctly but not enough kick! If you only visited when it first opened you need to go back! read more

Who would've guessed having BBQ in Cape Cod would turn out this delicious??! We actually pulled into a restaurant down the street then second guessed it and u-turned back to Red River. So glad we did cause I wasn't feeling BBQ very much (nor was I confident about bbq in this area) but didn't want the typical fried fish, seafood or American classics. My golly, the ribs and brisket were AMMAAZING! The interior didn't feel like a bbq joint, nor was too fancy either. Definitely a bit more non-traditional from the typical bbq setting - like a bit higher end bbq dining. We ordered this crispy shrimp appetizer which had this delicious sauce and succulent shrimps. I also ordered the beet salad, also delicious but didn't necessarily need after my main dish came out. My ribs were the perfect "almost" fall-of-the-bone tender - just the right texture where it won't slip off the bone when you bite into them. Even my husbands brisket was the thick cut but tender as well. (Not the broken up kind that looks like corn beef hash). So glad I changed our mind to go here and have bbq afterall. Had excellent service on a Thursday for lunch time. The food quality was good. And it just has a hometown atmosphere.

Welcome changes were made and the whole experience changed. No more Gunsmoke on the tv or canned cocktails. Liberally poured drinks, and good bbq. Some of the best wings I've had(.50 wings on Sundays...). The tot appetizer is real good if you can stand the guilt. Music could be a little louder for some background noise. Friendly servers round out the whole experience. Consider me a regular. read more

Went on a recent Friday evening. Sat at the counter/bar for 15 minutes before anyone came by and took a drink order. Another 10 minutes before the drink arrived. Was told by the frazzled bartender she would be right back to take a food order. After watching her at the bar for another 15 minutes got up and left. You would think the other employees standing around in the front room would help out, but they just stood there chatting with each other. No idea what that good was like. read more

I've eaten at numerous BBQ establishments but this was hands down the BEST. In Harwich, Cape Cod, the land of lobsters and clams, if you're looking for something different then swing by this place. The half rack of ribs was tender with a magnificent, sweet BBQ sauce. Zero fat on these ribs! The mac and cheese had just the right consistency and creaminess. The fried chicken sandwich was- get ready for it- made with dark meat. Unbelievably juicy and crisp. The coleslaw could have used some help but that's not what we came for. The food was delicious! My boyfriend had never had real bbq before and he was definitely a fan. This is fancier than the bbq places I went to in Austin, so I did feel a little out of place in my athleisure. There was live music (Friday nights) when we went playing in the back room, but we could hear it from where we were sitting in the front. Comfortable environment, amazing staff, creative food. Had no idea what to expect, experience was way above expectations.

I visited about a week ago and cannot wait to go back. The place recently "reopened" under new ownership, and the owners themselves are friendly and welcoming, and the service was excellent. We tried a bunch of different appetizers and all were excellent. For dinner I got the brisket tray, and it was fantastic. I am looking forward to trying the ribs next time... they look amazing. read more
