I've been here several times, so I came in with pretty high expectations. This visit was a little hit-or-miss, but there were still a few things I'd order again. The chicken kelaguen was fresh, packed with flavor, and definitely my favorite part of the meal. The cucumber finadene was just as good, and the fried shrimp paired with their dipping sauce was absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed both the Spam and shrimp musubis. The BBQ chicken and ribs were decent, but they didn't stand out the way I remembered from past visits. I was also a little disappointed with the red rice...it just didn't have the same flavor that kept me coming back before. Even though this wasn't my favorite visit, I know what this restaurant is capable of because I've had some amazing meals here in the past. I'll definitely give them another shot and hope this was just an off day.

I ordered the mix plate with BBQ chicken, ribs, and fried shrimp, which came with cucumber finadene and chicken kelaguen. I also tried two musubi, one Spam and one shrimp. The cucumber finadene and chicken kelaguen were definitely the highlights of the meal. Both were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal felt like it was missing something. The rice lacked the flavor I remembered, and the fried shrimp just wasn't very tasty. The BBQ chicken and ribs were good, but they didn't have the same wow factor that made me a fan on previous visits. I know this restaurant is capable of better because I've had great meals here before, so I'm hoping this was just an off day. I'll definitely give them another chance because the sides reminded me why I enjoyed eating here in the first place.
Such a local hidden gem! I was hungry, but didn't want to eat too much during the trip back to Los Angeles. I got shrimp patties, empanadas, and a spam musubi. I wasn't able to eat everything, so I save some for later that night. Shrimp patties: comes with some sort of sauce, not sure what it was. It was a little sweet and delicious. The shrimp patties were more shaped liker balls. It was moist and tasty. Great flavor and you could actually see the chunks of shrimp. Spam musubi: made with red rice. They were delicious and filling. Empanadas: my favorite of the bunch. It was crispy and light. I believe it has chicken and rice inside. Nice flavor throughout. I definitely recommend getting the empanadas. Hot sauce: if I had only known, I would have asked for more. It has a kick to it and made all of the food extra tasty. I can't wait to go back to try the ribs and other entrees!
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Red Rice! This was my first time trying Guamanian food and I was pleasantly surprised. The portions are plenty, and there are just enough options to choose from on their menu. I had the breaded shrimp, which the panko breading was kept crispy and light, while the shrimp were plump and moist. Their infamous red rice, coloring from Annato seeds, was cooked perfectly and had a delicious flavor, and I really enjoyed the cucumber finadenne as my other side (like a party in my mouth). Red Rice is very casual with a great mom and pop feel to it. My lunch was a wonderful Guamanian surprise, and I'm looking forward to going back again!
I have been wanting to try Red Rice for so long after trying them at a food festival a while back, and the opportunity finally presented itself while we were on this side of town. I have to say that they grill chicken very, very well. The sides were also amazing. I had both of the cucumber sides and was very satisfied. The red rice was delicious; I wish I could make this rice at home. The wife got the beef ribs which were tender and oh so flavorful. She also got a side of the chicken kilaguen, which was tangy and sooo good. I wish we had a Red Rice on our side of town. Every time I am in Henderson, I will be thinking about having Red Rice.
Stopped by because I wanted Guamanian Food and we were in the area. Service was really good. The workers were friendly. Hafa Adai! Food: * Pork Spare Rib Plate added premium side of Chicken Kelaguen. * Empanada The spare ribs were tasty and I loved the red rice. The kelaguen was a small serving but it was delicious. I got my Empanada fix. It was so good. There's 3 to an order. Overall, great spot that I will definitely return.
What an amazing find in Henderson... Our Vegas friends found Red Rice on a whim, and took us when we were in town visiting... Simply outstanding. Red Rice brought back nostalgia from our time living in Guam (lived there 5 years in a previous life)... The food is as authentic Chamorro as you're going to find. It's a family owned joint and you can tell they really pride themselves in serving quality Chamorro cuisine. The owners are so friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is small and quaint, but clean and well-kept. While it's not cheap ($60 for two plates), they give you a ton of food, arguably enough for two meals, so keep that in mind. When in/around Vegas, Red Rice is a must if you've ever lived in Guam or the Marianas Islands... IYKYK
Tried this place twice (came in once and took to go, and ordered off postmates the second time) and both times really delivered! Located on the busy street on Eastern, there's still ample parking in its plaza! Inside, there's a huge menu on the screens in front of you, a bench to sit on the side for waiting, and tables to the right. Ambience is heavily Guamanian which is awesome, and towards the door you can find some interesting articles up for you to read about how they got started :) The person taking my order seemed friendly, and of course the second time was on postmates, so no need. The menu selection can be a bit difficult at first because of the new item names, but trust, whatever you get is delicious and well-cooked! If you want to try a bunch of different items, I'd suggest the Mix combo plate! (Red rice, bbq chicken, bbq spare rib, breaded shrimp, chicken kelaguen, and a choice of side (my fav is the cucumber fine denne). I've also done regular plates and added the bbq rib because it's honestly a rib with so much meat! Don't skimp out on the banana donuts! Soft doughy/banana inside with a fried outside! SO GOOD! And yes, the red rice is super flavorful! OH and The spam musubis with the red rice are chefs kiss! Overall, 10/10 on the food- and I didn't even get to have it fresh fresh and it was delicious!
Hear me out! A Guamanian BBQ Revelation I stumbled upon Red Rice while searching for a Hawaiian BBQ spot and was utterly blown away to discover that we had Guamanian BBQ here in Las Vegas. I did some quick research just to kind of get a understanding of the difference and found that Guamanian BBQ is distinct from Hawaiian BBQ, even though they share island roots. In Guam BBQ, meats are often marinated in savory blends of soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and black pepper, then grilled over fragrant native woods like tangan‑tangan for a truly smoky finish . In contrast, Hawaiian BBQ from classics like my fav BBQ chicken, to imu‑cooked kalua pig, its all about sweet‑savory tropical marinades featuring soy sauce, ginger, pineapple, brown sugar, and garlic. So while both island BBQs bring deep flavor, Guam leans smoky, savory, and grounded, whereas Hawaiian leans bright, sweet, and tropical. Anyways....Back to the review! Their Spam musubi could have carried my cravings alone with its crispy, savory, and wrapped to perfection presentation. But the true star of the show was their signature red rice. I'd never had it before, and now I'm absolutely hooked. Vibrantly hued and beautifully earthy, a taste that lingers and delighted me. The cucumber side, cucumber fina'denni', was a standout as well with a cool, tangy, and playfully spicy, with just enough zing to balance the rich BBQ flavors. In short: Red Rice delivered an unforgettable Guamanian BBQ experience with addictive red rice, playful sides like cucumber fina'denni', and musubi that doubles as an added bonus. Whenever my husband and I go to Vegas, we always make our way to Red Rice to get our Guam/chamorro bbq fix since there really isn't any Guam bbq places in San Jose where we live. Over the years and times we've been here you can never go wrong with any of their combo plates which comes with a bit of everything. On our recent visit we ordered the fiesta plate which includes beef short ribs, bbq chicken, pork spare ribs, red rice, and a side of chicken kelaguen. Everything was cooked and prepared well and definitely fulfilled our Guam bbq cravings especially after pouring finnadene over everything! All of the meats were cooked perfectly, tender, and had a nice char to it. The fiesta plate is definitely enough to share for two people. Service was great and welcoming. There are a few tables to dine at, the interior decor was cool to look at--they even have stickers and merch for sale (which we bought lol).
What a great island style restaurant! If you're are wondering what kind of local dishes you would find at a Guam fiesta... go to Red Rice. The barbecue marination is exactly what you would taste on Guam. Plus of course they have red rice, short ribs, shrimp patties, kelaguen (barbecue chicken, coconut, peppers, lemon, onions)... an awesome dish. A lot of the dishes are soy sauce base. Plus the staff is super friendly.
Red rice is a must go every two weeks if I stayed in Las Vegas! The food was amazing the grilled meat and red rice is a must have every time I return! The atmosphere was great to dine in. The service was great and they were helpful and polite.

Red Rice brings the island to Vegas! The restaurant serves up island vibe music and great service. We ordered (and shared) the Hafa Adai Plate and it was great. Definitely enough to share for lunch! Amazing food! The rice is so flavorful, the ribs are cooked perfectly. Sometimes the meat on the ribs can be a little light but nonetheless this place has great food and service! I always get the rib place with extra rice and extra dressings. They have a homemade hot sauce that's really good too, love to add it to the rice! read more

Cute little Guamanian spot! There aren't too many tables, but my friend and I were able to get one. The 90s music that was playing is totally my vibe! I ordered the hafa adai plate. It did take a while to come out. They said they would comp me a dessert item because of it... but I guess they forgot. Literally everything on my plate was delicious... from the empanada to the red rice, meat, cucumbers, and sauces. They all just go well together and are very flavorful. I thought I'd be able to leave myself some leftovers, but I devoured it. The staff was nice each time I've visited, and this last one was my 3rd time checking it out. If you've never tried Guamanian food, this is a great way to try. read more
Monday 1/13/2025 Another spot I got introduced to by Keith Lees' TikTok content, so you know I had high expectations. Also, I'm not very well versed with different types of food so Guamanian food is completely new to me and my palate. I called for takeout, and the service was good, but even better in person. I got the mix combo plate (cucumber & diago) $22.94 and latiya (cake) $6.22. When it comes to the mix combo plate, it had many different items, but I'd say: the rice was alright, the chicken was good, the rib & shrimp were decent. It came with some sauces: the orange color cream sauce was decent, but the brown soy sauce wasn't enjoyable. The latiya is a dessert derived from their culture and it was my recommended by the person on the phone so I was intrigued to say the least. Unfortunately, my high expectations were not met as it tasted like vanilla pudding with some cinnamon at the top, which didn't do anything for me. In all honesty, I likely wouldn't come back mainly due to the price and the fact that there was an unknown 4% credit charge that I wasn't aware of until later. read more

Food was delicious ! Took almost 30min but it was fresh. I do wish they had appetizers to offer (cook faster) while waiting for main course tho. 8/10 on food. Service was friendly and welcoming but they could use for tables! There was about 4 tables taken by a whole family and when they were all done they stayed to chit chat while we stood around waiting for them to exit. I wish at least the staff would have offered some type of apology/assistance since we had kids and elders. read more
Nice welcoming people and the food hits the spot if you're craving Chamorro food. I usually come here with my friend, she's from Guam. King car Lemon tea is a must, along with a combination plate. You will never go wrong with any of those items. I'm a huge fan of their pickled daikon I can just eat it alone. Don't mind the wait as food is usually prepared fresh to order. read more
Even though my foray here into Guamian cuisine wasn't stellar, I'm grateful to have tried it out. Here's my bullet-point rundown: *Locals plate (BBQ chicken, BBQ pork spare rib & Shrimp patties) - 3/5 overall. *Red Rice - stale, boxed rice flavor, except not nearly as good as Ricearoni, disappointing considering it is the namesake foundation of their meals. *BBQ Chicken - teriyaki-style chicken, well marinated. *BBQ Pork Spare Rib - good KBBQ-style marinade but only one puny rib included. *Shrimp Patties - very good but more frozen veggies than shrimp. *Chicken Kelaguen - akin to Hawaiian Lomi Lomi but w/ sour shredded chicken bits. *Hagun Suni (Spinach) - very sour pickled spinach rounded out with a splash of coconut milk. *Eggplant Saibok - sour baba ganoush. *Empanadas - not authentic empanadas, more like deep fried corn tacos w/ more rice than chicken, very strong Frito flavor, grease bombs! 1/5. *Fina denne (condiment) - akin to black vinegar w/ some heat from red pepper flakes. Worth checking out this place if you are a Guamian food fan or want to try something new but it just wasn't exciting or unique enough to put into the rotation. read more

If you've ever been to a Chamorro BBQ you know the aunties get down! I was pretty excited to try this place today and for the most part it didn't disappoint. The Red Rice was on point. The dark red rice had all the flavors just like a remember and the finadene took my rice to the next level. Green onions soy sauce vinegar I'm drooling just thinking about it. I ordered the chicken kelaguen plate with red rice and a side of cucumber daigo kimchee. The kelaguen was a little dry in my opinion and I don't recall tasting any coconut. If you love pickled veggies the daigo is a must! There was a nice little spice and I love the crunchiness of the radish. I'm sure I'll be back. read more

Omg why did I take so long to eat here? Lol. Ive had red rice, fina dene, & the Chamorro kind Kimchee cucumber from my Chamorro friend from back in Hawaii before. I'm so happy this is only near our place. My brother was visiting and really wanted to try this spot. No regrets! Although it was hella busy this day it was worth it. The octopus kelaguen (not pictured) was fire!!! Definitely eating here again!!! read more

Hands down one of the best Guamanian food I've had in along time. When I go to a city I try to find Guamanian food. The food takes pretty long to come out but worth the wait. I ordered the Hafa Adai plate and it did not disappoint. It came with red rice, chicken, pork, rib, kelaquen and finedene. Everything was so yummy except meat was warm not hot. The empanada was piping hot. I have a feeling they got everything ready and was just waiting for the empanada to cook so the other items got cold when we received it. Will I come here again? I ordered the "Local" plate. red rice, BBq chicken, pork ribs, shrimp patty side of chicken kelaguen, i also ordered side of eggplant (roasted eggplant,coconut and lemon) the empanada its very tasty, you will come back for more. I ordered the BOGO (buy one, get one free) mix plate special on Uber Eats. When my order arrived, it included only one plate. I immediately called the restaurant. They claimed they only received an order for one mix plate. I pointed out that on Uber Eats, the mix plate is listed as a BOGO special--you cannot order just one. The app automatically applies the deal: you pay for one, and the second is free. The staff admitted they were aware of this, yet still refused to make it right. I also tried contacting Uber Eats, but as usual, their customer service was useless--10 minutes on hold, disconnected, and told to write in. Meanwhile, Chris at the restaurant offered no apology, no accountability, and no solution. Instead, he passed the buck and told me to deal with Uber Eats. They knew they had this promotion. They knew what my order meant. And they could have easily rectified the situation yet they chose to do nothing. This place clearly doesn't value its customers. I've recommended this spot to countless friends over the years--but I'm done. read more

My first experience with Guam cuisine and I will definitely be back for more. I'm just a sucker for bbq and charred flavors. Let's go! First approach looks closed because the outside has a dark covering but of course it's to block the strong sun from coming through. Once inside the staff is ready to serve you with friendly and exceptional service. Plenty of indoor cool seating to accommodate large groups. The crew made the proper recommendations it being my first time. They introduced me to what tasted like a chicken ceviche. It was cold, citrusy, spicy and loaded with flavor. On the side a soy base cucumber mix to balance the citrus, all complimenting the wonderful flavors of spare ribs and charred chicken.... I'm all in. So thank you for these great flavors.
