Like it was injected with helium, it almost floated off the plate. Pastichio rich and succulent. Robust, tangy, exquisite would be an understatement. A thousand angels singing & dancing on your tongue. Lamb so fresh as if it was just at petting zoo yesterday. This was first time my wife and I came to the Red Olive Restaurant. And we loved it! At the time of this review, they had been open for about a month. They have a great menu featuring a lot of Greek favorites. The building is brand-new, so the restaurant is sparkling clean. The hostess greeted us and took us to a table. The waitress never left us waiting for anything. We had the saganaki appetizer, I had a Gyro and a Greek salad and my wife had the Greek combination plate. We thoroughly enjoyed everything that was brought to us. They have a great menu starting with breakfast and ending with dinners. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu. read more

Great place to eat with a large variety. There is something for every member of my family. They do need to check and recheck the "Grubhub" orders for accuracy. They forgot to pack the chili on 2 of our orders. I called and they did credit the credit card, but I was still out the chili. They don't deliver the food that they forgot to pack. read more

The food is always good here but the service and management is hit or miss. We have eaten here many times since this place opened. Every time we come in our service has been mediocre at best. Our table gets ignored frequently and when we do ask for more water or coffee they take our glass out of sight to fill it then return the soiled glass to the table. I asked the manager if they could bring in a particular sausage from their vendor and just laughed at me. I also asked why he used canned pineapple instead of fresh on the salad and said it was too expensive. They may sell more of that salad it was fresh not canned. They even have visible signs in the kitchen area chastising the servers. This is not good for the employees or customers. This could be a really nice restaurant with a little bit of training. Hopefully the Red Olive founders step in and help. read more

Meh. It's hit or miss. Although the major misses at this restaurant, I'm surprised both cook and waitress allowed things to be served. Also it be nice if the cooks knew that if an avocado feels hard to the touch, that means you shouldn't serve it. I've paid for extra avocado a few times and received inedible ones. The goat cheese and chicken avocado salad is delicious, with or without edible avocado so I'm sure I'll be back. read more

I've been coming here for lunch for a while, I work at the Walmart down the road. There was a small incident where I asked for no bacon on my burger and they had it melted into my cheese. I asked because I don't eat pork at all. Chef claims there was no bacon, even after I picked it out of the cheese. Waitress was really nice about it and changed my order. The ones that Pete owns are in Plymouth and the Warren locations. Pete skimps on the ingredients. Also, I've witnessed him sexually harassing the waitresses. I liked this restaurant a lot. Very big on the inside. The servers don't smile much and they seem like they are very tired and walk very robotically, but the food is delicious. First visit here. Ordered chicken kabob dinner and chicken stir fry dinner. Both were cooked perfectly and chicken breast had zero fat and was tender. Side salad was fresh but very wet. Lemon rice soup is extra lemony. We enjoyed the food and had plenty to take home for lunch the next day. The service is what will probably stop us from returning. The hostess and waitresses we encountered were monotone in speaking and seemed like they were just going through the motions. We had to ask for soup crackers. We ordered drinks and she forgot so we had to remind her. We asked for a bread basket. The waitress was confident and well spoken, never rude, but distant at the same time. Even the staff back in the kitchen seemed uninterested and the manager (I assume) came out and talked on his cell in front of the restaurant. He should have walked around and asked how things were. Honestly, the food was very good but we did not leave there glad we chose this spot or with a wish to come again. I figured I would try this place out with a co-worker. We ordered some omelettes for lunch. The style of omelettes they make here are the kind where the toppings are cooked in with the egg instead of folding around as filling. The inside is very scorched and the outside was lightly scorched = bad. Both our omelettes had egg shell pieces included for free = very bad. The toast and hash browns were typical.
