I had a great experience! First and foremost it was clean in there. The prices were about the same as everyone else. I got what used to be a deluxe pedicure with the jasmine scent. It was $60 plus $15 for the gel polish. She took her time and gave a very good massage. I will be going back! read more

one of the worst experiences- not professional techs that work here- waste of $$$ will not be coming back.

I recently visited this salon for a pedicure, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The technician rushed through the entire service, and the polish job was so uneven and messy that it genuinely looks like something I could have done at home. Despite the poor quality, I was charged $90, which is unacceptable for the level of work I received. I won't be returning and cannot recommend this salon based on my experience. read more

Messed up two of my toenails, cut way too much off then the shape was literally diagonal. I pointed it out and he tried to file it down more instead of fixing the shape, which led to my nail burning. When I told them I didnt want to pay because of this he started making up lies, telling me I had acrylic toe nails on originally and that that was my natural shape. Which both arent true, I even pulled up before pictures to prove my point. They only offered to refund me $15, and told me if I didn't pay it they would call the cops. Overrall terrible experience. read more

When I say.. "NEVER AGAIN".. please believe me. First of all, shame on ME for trying a new spot that's closer to where I live opposed to staying loyal to my regular nail salon.. It was a day before my birthday and I wanted to squeeze in a pedicure after work. I told them it was my FIRST time coming there, I don't know if they understood because nodding doesn't confirm but I proceeded to sit in the chair that was pointed out to me, soaked my feet in scorching hot water for at least 15 minutes, I didn't complain because I'd rather it be hot than cold. Then, my nail tech walks inside from taking a smoke break and after she greets me and cuts my toe nails, proceeds to wash my feet.. the water was unnecessarily soapy.. I was very confused because my feet were not dirty.. Then, she takes the cloth that's under my feet and fans it towards me and I get splashed with water and toenails. I say "Umm.. you splashed me. Please be careful." She says "No no no." I say "Yes yes yes." Weird.. moving on, I show her the nail design.. I wanted white base with a black design on the big toe. She proceeds to paint my toenails black.. I show her the picture again and she wipes it off after realizing she made a mistake.. She polishes and then we get to the design. Shes positioned my phone towards her.. attempts 3x and finally says, she can't do that and all white looks better. I say "Can anyone here do the design?" It is quite simple. I will post a picture of reference. Then, she proceeds to show me a bunch of stickers and I tell her I'm not interested in that. I am an adult, not a child."She says "We busy.. no." So I say.. "Fine, all white" since I realize, I have no choice. Then at the very end.. I pay.. she stops me at the door to grab her phone from her bag.. and confirms everything processed and says "Okay, thank you." Rude.. she really assumed my payment wouldn't go through after she gave me poor service and bad vibes. Please stay away if you know what's best. $50 is the same price I would have paid at my own salon for a gel pedicure for a much better experience plus champagne. Hope this helps someone. Side note: The nail tech tried to tell me several times my toe shape would not allow such a design. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience at Red Nails. I came in for an acrylic soak-off, but ended up doing most of the work myself by soaking my nails in acetone with little assistance. On top of that, several customers who came in after me were serviced before I was. I understand places can get busy, but the lack of attention and customer service made the experience frustrating and unprofessional. read more

It could really use a good overall cleaning and refresh. The services themselves were good, but if you're in a hurry, this isn't the place for you -- everything moves at a very relaxed pace. We got two pedicures and two gel manicures. They still had Christmas decorations up, so the space felt a bit dated and in need of some freshening up. Prices weren't outrageous, but I was never shown a price list, and the total came to nearly $200 with tips for three people. read more

I'm writing this review because Anna deserves her flowers! I recently relocated and as most ppl who have moved know, finding a new nail salon and stylists is one of the most daunting tasks. I hadn't had too much luck finding a great nail salon in Baltimore so I didn't have high expectations, but she more than exceeded them. I got the deluxe spa pedicure which was $70 and with gel polish an additional $15. The money was WELL worth it. Anna took her time with the massage, the paraffin wax, and checked in every so often to make sure the temp of everything was comfortable. It was definitely the most relaxing pedi I've had this year. The salon itself is spacious and very clean and all of the ladies were friendly. I have found my permanent pedi salon! read more

Hands down one of the worst salon experiences I've had. The older lady who worked on me was rude, impatient, and shockingly careless with both my nails and waxing. She rushed through everything like I was an inconvenience, showed zero attention to detail, and had no concern for comfort or hygiene. My nails came out sloppy, and the waxing was unnecessarily painful and poorly done. I left frustrated and uncomfortable. Save your money and go literally anywhere else -- I won't be returning. read more

this is the worst experience I've ever had getting a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was rushed. The nails are not smooth and the gel polish is not smooth at all. When she started doing the manicure, she actually little sander drill so hard that one of my nails actually has a hole all the way through it. It like I can't even explain. It hurts so bad and she was doing such a bad job. I didn't even get polish I left. The price changed twice while I was getting my nails done. Even after the injury and not getting nail polish it was $102. Do not go. I'm scared to death. My nail is going to be infected. My doctor is treating it with but it looks terrible and a lot. Did she apologize? Silly question no she did not do not go. read more

The manager is down right rude! Left in the middle of my service to service someone else. The manager rant and yelling at customers so unorganized. Some tech do good work the manager is waiting to take your money. No matter what you ask they want to add on this and that 10.00 for this and that next thing you know your business tab up to 150.00. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! Everything about my mani/pedi was awful... for starters, the woman who was doing my service was completely rude.My nails looked awful from the get-go (as if they water down their gel polish because my nail polish was completely see though), not to mention, they started chipping the next day! When I went back they charged me an additional 5$ to fix the gel polish on my toes. The polish was so thin I can just pick the product off with your own fingers. Some of my nails were crooked. When I called to complain about my awful nails they made me come in only to show me their store policy and offer nothing in return for the awful service. I came here today to get my nails done by "Megan", whose real name is Liliana. She is absolutely fabulous. I was referred to her by one of her former clients. When you walk into red nails, you immediately noticed that the space is small. As a result, it is very messy not at the stations, but in the back where they keep their towels and things. Every time I've come, it is very busy with people in most, if not all, of the chairs. When I arrived, "Megan" explained that she had a client but if I came back in 20 minutes she would be ready. She made good on her promise and when I returned I was seated immediately and "Megan" began working. She took her time to ensure every thing was perfect. I got the spa pedicure with French and a gel manicure with French. Both look absolutely stunning. Though it was quite pricey at $70, it was definitely worth it. My rating is not reflective of "Megan" as her service was five star worthy. The star I docked was because of the cleanliness of the whole salon. The floors were nasty and dirty towels were piled high in the back. I will be back to see "Megan" but I hope that the salon will improve its cleanliness. read more

Generally speaking, I've had good experiences here. The problem at this location seems to be appointments. Some of the technicians encourage customers to make them (if you see the same tech more than once or twice), and they are helpful to have if you prefer a particular technician. An appointment should also be very useful if you have a schedule or simply don't want to wait for half an hour to be helped. The trouble is, if you make an appointment; it rarely if ever, begins on time. I visit here regularly but not frequently (every few months over the past couple years), and have been helped by most of the staff at least once. The end result is generally good; but as with most services, some employees do a better job or provide more agreeable service than others. I will likely continue visiting this location because of the reasonable prices and overall good final results I receive here. read more

I don't recommend this nail salon. I got a full set of acrylic nails done here. The nails were different lengths, and some were filed at odd angles. The lady that did my nails was also not very kind, and she filed my skin down on two nails so much that it bled, but she continued to file a drill. I got gel polish and it started chipping off that night for no reason. Ten days after I got the set, two nails fell off. I haven't been working the past few weeks or doing much so there is no reason they should've fallen off that soon. I will be returning to my normal nail salon where the full set will stay on for at least a month before one nail comes off. read more

Horrible service. The owner / manger what ever she is is blind and let's her ppl who my tech didn't understand English at alm and was horrible my pedicure took two hours and was nothing to brag about I had to have someone tell her to clip my toe nails again as they were completely not all the same size. After 1:50 minutes I thought I was done but they told me to sit there for my paraffin waxing on my feet that is when I lost it and I said i said that I have to leave. I had a bunch of ppl come in after me and left before me. So my mail experience left much to be desired. She clips my nails and I didn't want my finger nails clipped. She filed them square. I don't like square nails it makes my fingers look short and fat. And she did not put enough coats in my nails and they look like ahit. So much for my shoulder massage. I couldn't get that because they took so Fn long to do my pedicure. Horrible Horrible customer service. I plan to go back and have them fix my fingernails. And give me that damn massage. My name is Maxine and your business is horrible! read more

I came here on a whim because I spontaneously decided to get my nails done today. They definitely accept walk ins! I was assigned a manicurist immediately after I walked in and she was nice....though she did ask me if I was married yet which I felt was a little personal. I liked that the manicure didn't take too long. I watched motorcycles being sold on TV during my service which was kind of bizarre to see on in a nail salon. Throughout the whole hour I was wondering if the manicurist was talking about me because she seemed to be laughing and it made me a little uncomfortable. Overall, I would come back here...it's definitely more of a place for a speedy service...so don't expect a spa vibe. * They have an ATM and do not accept cash tips. read more

Red Nails - My nails! - Nail Salons Near Me - Richmond, Virginia

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I go to a lot of little nails salons here and there. I don't have terribly high standards. So long as they do a decent paint job, that's all I'm really going for. I went here about a month ago for a standard pedicure. After soaking in the tub for a few minutes, the nail technician started and IMMEDIATELY cut 3 deep slashes into my big toe using the callous removing tool. My feet don't have any callouses on them, much less any necessitating that kind of pressure/force. My toe was bleeding so badly that they had to stop the pedicure and tend to the cuts for about 5 minutes. It kept bleeding throughout the entire appointment, while the technician periodically poured huge amounts of alcohol on the cut (umm Ouch!). Due to the injury, I got about a half a pedicure - all done up on my right foot, but they touched the left foot just enough to paint it and pour some more alcohol on it. But they obviously couldn't scrub, massage, etc. Oh, AND THEY CHARGED ME FULL PRICE. The posted a photo of the cut a week after the pedicure. As you might guess, I spent a week in winter wearing open toed shoes. You know it's bad when you're grateful you didn't get toe fungus... Just don't go. read more

This was by far the most stressful pedicure experience ever!!! Where do I begin.... they don't soak your feet before a pedicure or clean out the soak bowl. They charge an extra $10 to shave the dry skin off of your feet which is typically a standard service also they dont put a top finishing coat over your nail polish. Three young Black Girls walked in and asked for a full set and soak off they turned the ladies away saying they were too busy. A young white girl walked in and they sat her in a chair. Lastly I gave a tip however it was very small and they lady got an attitude. The customer service was HORRIBLE!!!! read more

THIS IS NOT RED NAILS 2, also in Willow Lawn. I've never been to Red Nails 2, so I can't compare the two businesses. They are also not owned by the same people. I've been a customer of Red Nails for around 10 years. In the last two or so years, I've started getting a new service: eyelash extensions. If you have thin, short, unnoticeable eyelashes like me, extensions are definitely the way to go! Jenny does a great job, and the price is the best I've found in Richmond (or probably anywhere). Fill-ins are also VERY affordable. These last about three weeks and look as good as a any higher-priced salon I've been to. read more

To be honest pedicure was great. It went downhill when I requested a flower to be painted on my big toe.. It was not a flower. Maybe it was her "interpretation" of a flower. When I told The lady I didn't like the flower she walked away and began talking about me in Cambodian. She didn't even attempt to correct the issue. The polish chipped a day later.
