I have tried several other nail salons in the tri-city area and I keep coming back to Red Nail. They are clean and efficient.

I got recommended by my waitress at Applebees in Hastings. My was my girl who did my pedicure. She was fabulous at cleaning me up and feeling human again. It's been 2 months. I've been back numerous times for pedicures. Red nails has stepped up their game a bit. I don't get my fingernails done anymore. But I keep up on regular pedi's. I like coming to red nails because you rarely have to wait. They are well staffed for demand and don't tend to rush you out too quickly. The color selections are good and I like the variety of scent/spa selections for the pedicures. Recently I got the milk and honey pedi. It smelled lovely and was quite relaxing. I always wish for more foot running and calf massage versus a heavy focus on my shins and ankles, but that's true for every place I've been other than a fabulous place back home in Maryland. Red nails using hot towels and hot rocks in their pedi massage, so it's nice. I've been back several times. They prefer cash and give a cheaper price for cash I believe, so plan accordingly. Overall quality is pretty consistent, I appreciate rarely having to wait for a pedicure and the gel up charge is everywhere now and unavoidable. read more

I had a pedicure done on Feb 21st, a short time later I noticed the bottoms of my feet were still rough. A few hours later I went back and asked to have the pumice stone redone (they were not very busy at this time). The person behind the register said "they would take care of it" and had me sit down. Another person came over and said "they would only add more lotion to my feet and that is all they would do and that I need to take better care of my feet" (she wasn't even the person who did my pedicure). I felt this person acted rude and selfish and for that reason I am very dissatisfied. read more

Friday late morning I went to Red Nails for My 1st time. Unfortunately I broke two nails and needed to get in ASAP. My nail tech had ZERO customer service. The only time he spoke to me was to direct me where to put my hand and to confirm my nail color. He never asked if I ever had been to the salon before or if I was even satisfied with the final product. Those seem like 2 automatic questions to ask a customer. The salon appeared clean. It also seemed that the salon offered a variety of services and designs. I will take my money where I feel like I matter as a customer. I'm assuming not all of the nail techs offer this same level of service. Pros- I was able to get in right away, variety of colors for nail polish. Went to Red Nail for the first time today for a pedicure. Technician never asked how short or if I wanted any length cut, she just started cutting. It was the fastest leg massage I've ever had. When I asked for nail art, like a flower (meaning painted on) she came back with stickers and when she started to cut them out a friend that was with asked about having the flower painted on, the technician said No, only sticker today. I'm a cosmetologist by trade and I honestly could have polished my nails and tossed on stickers if that was what I wss looking for. and I was charged $5 for nail art. Again it was a sticker. Went in without an appointment to get my acrylics removed. Vincent took the time to remove them so carefully (they were really stuck on there and had not loosened at all while growing out) that they barely showed any signs of damage. Called not knowing if I'd be able to get in last minute and they totally fit me right in, even though I couldn't get both my nails and toes done. Once I got there they were able to do a manicure the same time as my pedicure. Kia did my lavender pedicure and and Holly did my manicure. Wow, they both did an amazing job. To start Vincent was awesome, very fast and didn't hurt my toes or fingers at all! The shape and color turned out great and he was very friendly. It's hard to find a good nail salon. My mom has her pedicure done by someone else and although her toe did bleed a little and she wasn't happy with her nail color they offered to redo her color which was nice. Nina took over to fix her toes and out on acrylics she was so sweet and did a great job. They have a lot of options for pedicures and TONS of nail color choices. I live in California but will Definitely come back when I'm in town visiting. Very friendly staff and it's a nice salon. read more

Worst mani/pedi of my life. Toes half painted, no calluses or dead skin removed, and very cold water. Was told nails have to be the same as toes. Toes regular polish, nails dip/ gel combo. She dipped my nails WAY too much so I ended up with lumpy, bumpy, misshaped nails. As she started the polish she was pushed away so someone else could finish. She comes back to watch and they laugh hysterically the entire time. Glad you can't tip with a card and I refuse to pay a $3.50 fee to use their ATM so they can hide tips and not pay taxes on them!!! read more

Technician was rude after he asked if I liked the polish and I stated, "Should that look yellow when it supposed to be white?" He didn't ask if he could fix or anything. He showed me the color and said that's the color you asked for and that it looks that way cause it's painted on my real nail on not on plastic. After that he couldn't get me out of there fast enough. WORST PLACE EVER. My nails literally look so bad. First off: they are some of the rudest people I have ever met. I went in after having one of the longest days and just wanted to get my nails done. I booked an appointment through their website here. Well once I get there it's busy and I can see that. Of course I'll wait it's all good. Well the mail tech who took me "dung" was so rude. He was not just nicely relaxing my hand or anything just if my hand wasn't in the most perfect place he would practically slap it away. He did it multiple times. He was than constantly hitting my nail beds and when he did I would jerk and he would say don't do that it doesn't hurt. Then second of all: he literally got up walked around picked out a different color THAN WHAT I PICKED and almost out it on my nails until I said "Why are we no changing colors. He just shrugged his shoulders and said "oh you don't want this one" OF COURSE NOT I picked out a nice natural oil he grabbed A NEON HOT PINK bright as all hell. Then when he put the polish in he globbed it on. To the point where it wouldn't dry. I asked him to clean up around the nail since polish was literally done so bad it was unbelievable. He was being rude and seemed upset when I asked because he practically yelled at me when I said that. He said he was gonna do it. Even though he said he was done. Then when I asked if my "design" which was only a line that Was only on two fingers asked it could be on all of them. He looked at me dead in the eye and said "no" I asked why. He said well you only paid for two. I paid for a "design" on the nails not paying 6 extra dollar for a single line on two fingers. He was the most rude person ever. Then when my nails were drying and I was talking to my friend who also got her nails done this lady came and when I say talked to me like I was 5 years old and don't understand prices I can't even. I knew everything I was charged I told them I haven't been charged more than what I payed and got way more done on my nails at the same place, same style and size but somehow the price is 20$ more????. I left nearly in tears because how rudely I was treated. Don't go to this place... they over charge... are rude and don't know good customer service. I was honestly just being nice as possible because I work..I have a job that you have to be nice to people. This place's literally lies about their prices and don't book online because if you do and actually show up for your appointment they may yell at you and say just call cause they don't "look" at people who book online. I've been to this place before and I really liked my nails so I decided to go back even though it's a 30 minute drive from my house. But when I went back the price for a full set w/ gel polish had somehow increased to $47. And the lady had the nerve to say it was an extra $5 for coffin shape on top of that. Wish I would of read these reviews before making the mistake of coming to this hell hole. I walked in saying I want a pedicure and already the chic is trying to up-sale me to gels on my toes...no thanks I just get those on my fingers. She keeps trying to get me to get the "Spa Pedicure" for $35. RIP OFF! Ok I live in San Diego, Ca right now and I can get a much better pedicure for $15 than I can for a $25 pedicure at this dive. Usually they will massage your feet and legs for like 5-8 min. This girl did for 2 min max. That is one of the main reasons I go to get a pedicure! The girl totally did a half ass job on everything. Great little nail salon located in a small strip mall off of 80th in CG. The best thing about this place is the different options they offer including seaweed & paraffin wraps, sea salt scrubs, & hot stone massages that last much longer than most salons with manis & pedis. On this particular visit, my mother & I tried the seaweed wraps & hot stone massages with our pedicures. The seaweed wrap left my skin super soft & glowing for days afterwards & the hot stone massage worked magic on my calves & feet. It was the best massage I have ever received @ a nail salon. Red Nails also features discounted services Monday - Wednesday. After our pedis, we noticed that one of the nail technicians was showcasing a jewelry trunk sale, so we perused the trays of jewelry & ended up purchasing a few pieces of jewelry. First time there and last time too. They take too many clients and can't keep up with appointments. The chairs barely recline. They knicked my mom and niece's skin. My mom and I are pretty sure they didn't clean our toes before polishing. My sister told the male nail tech that she wanted $5 tip for each tech (for her and her daughter) and instead he charged $10 each for tip. It just felt rushed and hectic. They listen to how I want my nails done. I don't like my tips thick at the ends nor do I like them ground thin around the cuticle. They do a awesome job not judging me . I also like that they have a nice selection of the mood changing gel polish just wish they had it out on display instead of behind them. I don't like looking at the colors on the nails. The prices are a bit higher then average but on average also they are less likely to hurt me then other places that I have noticed. So it is worth going. I also normally feel that tipping should be in the higher range for better service. This place gets my higher tip range so the service is usually 40-50 with the gel I will tip 15-20 bucks.. these people work very hard..and are worth it!! read more

i'm super happy with my nails! i thought my acrylics were always crooked in the past because i have crooked nails, but i was so wrong! my nails are the perfect shape and completely even! since valentine's day is coming up, i asked for valentine's day themed nails, and since i'm super indecisive, i let my nail tech (vincent) do what he wanted within that theme and the holographic polish i picked. and i'm so glad i did, because he did such a great job! i love my right middle finger with the heart on it! i seriously don't understand how he was so precise! he also took time to thoroughly file my nails and get them into shape, which i appreciate because i've had problems with shape at other salons, but i'm so happy with the shape i have now. it is definitely worth the higher price! you really get what you pay for! the only thing i thought was kind of weird is that they charge an extra $5 to ask for a specific shape, but i can't even complain because i love my nails so much!! vincent did such a great job!!! read more

Red Nails always does such a great job with my acrylic gel nails. Even though they are a bit more expensive than other salons, it is so worth it. I went in the salon with my sister, I paid $124 for 2 full gel sets. The tech was Ken , Not to mention cut he cut my finger pretty deep and only said sorry. Also on every finger the gel did not cover the whole nail, the polish is horrible and spotty and sloppy seeping over the sides. He also burned me at least 5 times from the files being to sharp when I told him it hurt all he said was sorry hun. He kept pushing for longer length and did not listen to what I asked for. After service was done I was just ready to leave. The edges are sharp so I had to go to a different salon to file them down. Will not be returning. Only good thing was they got my sister and I in right away but took almost 2 hours. My sisters nails came out nice. read more

Was awful from the very start! Myself & 2 of my friends, along with thier 2 daughters came to this salon for full set nails & pedicures just to treat ourselves. The acknowledgement coming in the door as a customer and also being seated to start the process of a pedicure was very Swift. However every service thereafter was complete and utter failure, almost insulting. They proceeded to rush through our pedicure then proceeded to rush thru all five of our full set acrylic nails. When we were pointing out mistakes or things that don't line up that weren't right they would not acknowledge it and just kept going with how they wanted it. Mind you the final tab for this day was $500. They proceeded to try to tell us we missed paying for one person and wouldn't let us leave and embarrassed us in front of the salon full of people. we still walked away with nails that we were not happy with and pedicures that we are not happy with and lots of money spent. Now fast forward to that same evening, I myself realize that whatever chemical they put on my feet during the pedicure reacted badly with my skin because my feet are ten times worse than I've ever seen them. Cracked very deep on the heals and under the toes and bleeding. They're in so much pain I barely want to walk or put shoes on...it's bad! I will never again in life visit this place nor would I ever recommend suggest or any of that to any people I know or don't know even strangers,I would detour them away from here. I'm trying to figure out where all of the bad reviews are coming from. I almost didn't come because of them! I had the loveliest pedicure from a woman named Anna. She was extremely polite, asked me how the temperature was, the pressure of the massage was etc. I got the Ultimate pedicure, and almost fell asleep in the chair. It included a stone massage, clay mask, and paraffin wax treatment., it was worth every penny. I'm so glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews! I'll be back for sure! read more

I came for a gel manicure- I loved the color selection but the gel polish start chipping after 3-4 days! The technician I had was a little rough, didn't talk much, chewed his gum like really loud and clearly had a half healed wound on his finger without bandage (super unsanitary!)
