Since my hair is wavy, I usually get Keratin Straightening's approximately 2-3 times per year ... Color treatments, and blow-outs at least twice per week and still my hair keeps its sheen and silky luster. I feel my hair always looks great ! A majority of the products utilized at Femme Coiffure are imported from Canada, Israel & Europe. Therefore, they do not contain the usual harsh chemicals that other salons use. Despite the fact that I have many processes done to my hair, still my hair looks and feels it's very best. He is an excellent stylist and LOVED my hair when he cut it. HOWEVER not this guy which is Raphaels brother (I thought I was in good hands). Upon arrival, I was quickly being asked to be sold on extensions. My hair was waist length..... a Kyle Richards style and length and extremely health hair, I might add. When I wasn't interested in the extensions (I have thick hair and was thinking WTH I have a lot of hair) Daniel then tried telling me I needed a Braziallin straightener. My hair is naturally straight, glossy and again incredibly healthy. My mother was a hairdresser (note: I know a lot about hair) she still has a license and she buys all my professional grade products. We talked about a trim and just freshening the ends. I told him to point cut my hair which he said he uses a technique that is essentially the same. I told him my hair wasn't the right texture for razor cut I have a lot of medium to fine hair. He said, trust me I know what I'm doing. Well, he went ahead razor cut my hair OFF and it wasn't a cut it was butchered. I had my hair looked at a month after in my home town to get something done with it. My hairdresser showed me where Daniel had cut a chunk out of the back of my hair underneath. He cut the hell out of the right side leaving gaps and disconnection all across the side of my hair. The left side looks like a different hair cut. I was so upset and nearly cried. He told me it was good change. I told him we didn't agree on cutting my hair off. I came here for a trim and even physically showed him how much hair to cut. My hair was again waist length. I walked out with the front of my hair to my collar bone. To add insult to injury, before I could walk out the door, he takes a red light therapy wand to my face and says my wife has those (referring to marionette lines) and starts pressing it on my face swiping it down my lips which I had lipgloss on a smears it on my face. He is REPULSIVE!!!! Let me add a WARNING if he starts upselling you and don't buy into his sales and his demeanor changes, becomes quite when you don't won't his add-on like everyone has mentioned, get the HELL up out of his chair and RUN. I'm mortified by this cut. It literally sickened me. My friends on the trip wanted to go back to demand a refund. He IS a JERK I might add!!!

I have had the pleasure to getting my hair done for the last 10 years by Jean Marc!!!! My first hair cut was when my son was ten days old! I met him while we were staying at the St.Regis cross the street! The hotel recommended Red market! I walked in & they welcome with love and We were doing baby picture on the beach at the St. Regis and need it reach hair cut! From the day and every since then no one can cut my hair but Jean Marc! My hair color was done by Katie this time! I mean speaking of 5 star service!! I was connecting through Miami to go to Aruba! Katie was sweet enough to come in her day off to color my hair! Every single time I fly anywhere and the connection is Miami, I take the longer lay over to get my hair done no matter what and see my friends! They know I have to go back to connect to my next flight! They make sure I am in and out to catch flight ! I finally met Jean Marc beautiful wife in person Victoria and it absolutely made my day!!! I fly to miami to get my hair cut and be spoiled by Jean and his team! It's like My second home! My best friend use to think I am crazy ! So one day she came alone and cut hair cut and color then she was like now I know why!!!! I don't care how long my hair girl until I have time to fly to see Jean Marc, I just let it happen until I can see him for my next hair cut! It's absolutely worth it and my hair cut grow beautifully until I see him again! No one can ever cut my hair the way he does! He is gifted and I am so lucky to call him my dear friend! If there were a zero star option, I would have chosen it. This is bar none THE WORST SALON EVER. The people working at Red Market barely speak English. They are incompetent, they have zero customer service skills and cannot do their jobs. There is a total lack of professionalism. Sophie is the worst of all of them. She is the lowest of the low. She is the epitome of French euro-trash, nasty with an attitude and cannot cut or style hair whatsoever. I wonder if she is even licensed at all to cut hair in the U.S.A. I wasn't even offered a glass of water to drink. I came in dying of heat exhaustion and not even the receptionist was smart enough to offer me something. These people need a lesson on proper etiquette and how to behave in a Bal Harbour establishment or any establishment for that matter. All low lives. I would NEVER EVER return to this DUMP. I could go to SUPERCUTS and get a much better stylist. Whoever wrote a positive review about this place is lying or totally clueless about how a good salon treats customers. This is absolutely THE WORST SALON EVER. This place is a major rip-off Stay far away from RED MARKET read more

I need to express my disdain for the Red Market salon in Miami due to my awful experience at the check-out desk. I came to the salon in Bal Harbour with a friend while on vacation. Everything was great from the moment the gentleman (he may have been a manager), at the front desk greeted and guided us over to the hairstylist, Alex, who by the way, was amazing! Nevertheless, when it was time for us to check out, there was a young blonde lady behind the desk who completely ignored us while she yelled to another employee, which I found to be extremely unprofessional! When I asked if I could check out, she asked if I could give her one minute. Therefore, I needed to wait for her to finish her conversation before she could check me out! I was appalled at this behavior, and I hope that they will address this issue so that it will never happen again. Otherwise, I will take my business elsewhere! read more

I went in for some highlights and ended up with the best makeover I could have expected. I had it in my head that I wanted to go platinum blonde again but I never keep up with it and I'm fighting these annoying gray hairs that make me look like doctor strange when I have a ponytail (which is always) so Brenna talked some sense into me and promised me natural looking highlights with a gloss. And I was like ok good luck because my base color is hard to match. Well you may have guessed by my 5 stars that Brenna is a miracle worker, I looooove my hair and it's always a plus to feel as welcomed as I felt. For years now I have been going to Bal Harbour shops to eat, walk around, shop etc but I never tried Red Market Salon. I finally got a blow out and it was one of the best! The experience is lovely. When you walk into the salon they offer you a beverage of your choice- coffee, champagne, sparkling water... The atmosphere is beautiful and zen-like even though it's a salon. The head massage was one of my favorite parts, the lady who washed my hair really took her time and used a brush that massaged my head. Rogelio did my blow out and it was done so meticulously. He recommends things that your hair actually needs. The older lady washes with the brown hair sorry I don't remember her name. He is very unpleasant and unprofessional. She is always complaining about customers and the hairstylists. She complains when she is washing your hair and baths you but doesn't fix it. Prices have gone up since the management. I thought I like Cosmo and his way of work. I don't want to deal with the other hairstylists being unprofessional with the things they saw and do. Also well as the bad tempered lady that washes hair. There's a lady that washes hair that has either white or bleach blonde hair she is a sweetheart she is like 60 something years old. This lady makes a difference she talks to you goes the extra mile to not wet you but if she does she changes the towel and fixes it. Also she goes the extra mile by ask about us.
