I had 6 events and she was able to create some amazing looks for hair & makeup to cater each event and outfit! RLA made me feel so comfortable and were so professional and able to accommodate not only me, but my entire bridal party & family. I'm still getting compliments on my hair & makeup looks from that weekend! Bridal HMU can seem expensive at times but trust me when I say it is worth every single penny! This was one of the best experiences I've had with a makeup artist!! I'm very particular with the way other people do my makeup, but Red Lotus Artistry (Vidya)killed it! She did an amazing job for each of the events I attended and made sure my eyeshadow matched perfectly with each of my outfits! Not only were they professional and timely, but they were fun too. After finishing my hair and makeup, they did mini photo shoots and filmed funny tiktok's. Wow... where to even begin! I can't say that I particularly loved waking up super early for hair and makeup on my wedding weekend, but if it meant singing Backstreet Boys with Vidya and her team again while the sun was barely up, I'd 1000% do it!!! I don't think I could've gotten the bridal looks I had envisioned if I hadn't gone with red lotus artistry. From day one, when we started with the makeup trial, Vidya listened very closely to what kinds of styles and looks I was a fan of, and what I simply couldn't stand. For example, I'm not a lipstick person at all. I remember explaining that to vidya, and instead of responding with something along the lines of how brides need to wear lipstick on their big day, she said that's totally fine, we'll keep it simple and mix the shades until we get what you want. Between the makeup trial and wedding weekend, there was a six month window. In that duration, Vidya was available to answer my questions via text/phone call at essentially all hours. Her kindness was simply overwhelming. We had our final consultation the week before my wedding, and I'm so thankful for that meeting. Your bridal hair and makeup artist needs to know exactly what hiccups to expect when getting ready for your wedding events, and that is exactly what Vidya addressed during our consultation. My upper body is on the petite side, and before even picking up my bridal dupattas, Vidya one she was going to have to come up with a creative way to drape it around me (unlike the conventional style to avoid me falling over from the weight), and that is exactly what she did. She pleated both my bridal dupattas to make our super thin and had the pleats fanning beautifully in front of my lengha. It was done on a way where there wouldn't be immense pressure on just one part of my body. The final look was gorgeous and I've included some pictures in this review. So it's been over 1 month since my wedding (almost 2) and as little blurbs of my wedding photography comes through, of all my amazing vendors there's one that I just could nottttttt let go un-reviewed, and that is VIDYA at Red Lotus Artistry. Wow wow oh so wow! She was sooooo amazing! Every single one of my looks as devineeeee and let me tell you gals, I'm the least girly, least into self care person I know and I was so afraid I wouldn't even have any idea about half the things the MUA would recommend. But with Vidya and Dolly, I was sooooo relieved. They did all the heavy lifting, advised on what would look good based on my preferences, taught me how to prepare, and most of all they never forced their choices on me! The moment I wanted to thank them for the most, and what makes them truly unique, is their willIngress to stay available through the entirety of my ceremonies for any "emergencies" that may arise. What can I say about RLA...they care about what you look like and go as far as keep you calm when things in the next hall during your wedding are a mess. The make up and hair styles that they pulled off during my wedding weekend for myself, my sisters, my mothers and my bridesmaids were amazing! I first heard of Red Lotus Artistry on Instagram n decided after checking out some pictures to give them a call to see if maybe they would possibly travel to Anahiem, Ca to do my wife hair and makeup for her surprise 35th bday surprise. Vidya n her entire team were extremely professional and worked with my schedule as well my budget. After realizing first hand that all the positive things I've heard about them was true, I ended up hiring them for two days for my wife's bday wknd.
