Red Lobster is still a good chain making good food. Since I was on a company card, I got the Ultimate Feast with a lobster tail, shrimp scampi, grilled shrimp and grilled scallops and all of it was delicious. The house salad was huge and fresh. I order a Long Island Iced Tea and OMG, it was terrible... but it DID get the job done after the 3 hour drive from Atlanta. Service up until we got our food was pretty good, but after that, it was radio silence. It took forever to cash out and get the heck out of there. There was a family sitting next to us and they said that's pretty much the norm. Watched changes after corp bk. I have dined here since day one and have been very disappointed at times. That changed on prom night when I ordered and was told they didn't have the right stuff to prepare the dish ..I reordered with the most attentive server who really checked on my table while she was being rushed to the max. Ridiculously understaffed, causing significant wait times for food (or any service). I truly believe the waitress was also in the back preparing the food, as well. "Starters" came out with the rest of the meal. Got it to go because we'd just stopped for the night & staying at the Hilton, I think that was the same night,,, anyway we were evacuated from Sarasota so we were staying the night up there. But as it was to-go food goes it was great. Then I added the snow crab legs onto my main entree which is a real bargain because they were especially tasty at this location. They closed most of the Red Lobsters in my home area, so it was nice to get to eat there again. It has been a long time since we've had one near us. But all the food was great & still piping hot by the time we got back up with the food. I got the shrimp w/linguine w/the white wine & butter & garlic/clear sauce on my dish & my mother got the baked fresh fish of the day, not exactly sure which type it was but she said hers was delicious as well. Plus I ordered a box of cheddar biscuits so we could take them with us & hear them up in the microwave wherever we stayed at the next night. We were gradually driving back to Sarasota just hoping everyday that our power would be back on. Don't even waste your time and money here - 1st- ordered couple margaritas and served in a drinking glass and tasted like all they did was pour the margarita mix in a glass half no not even half ice - tasted like crap- and when we did get food , ordered stuffed flounder , the sauce was poured over fish and max and cheese like you were eating biscuits & gravy- and dud I mentioned service? This is a good red lobster! And I have eaten at several of them over the years. They aren't all good. But this is a good one! You will enjoy your meal and the service was good. I had the new Lobster in Paradise - part of the Lobsterfest menu a Maine lobster tail paired with tender Maine lobster pieces and shrimp in a Caribbean pineapple beurre blanc, served with a chili-ginger grilled jumbo shrimp skewer. Everything was delicious!!! But one thing that really has me disappointed is the cutting back on amenities such as using paper napkins instead of cloth napkins. Ok so whoever was cooking in the kitchen yesterday was spot on...my crab legs were flavorful and warm, the lobster wasn't chewy, the shrimp were delicious, my daughters salmon was also very good. Everything was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. I didn't expect much as the red lobster's back home are always terrible, but it's been years since we've been to one and we didn't really want to travel far from our hotel since we were tired and hungry, so glad we gave this place a try. The staff took out a lobster for my kids to touch. They were so good answering the kids 20 questions about the lobsters! The service was quick. Our waitress refilled our drinks before they went empty. Only a couple complaints. The lobster bisque was not good. My 10 year old said it tasted like pretzel cheese sauce...he was right. Lol. I asked if soup could be a side when I ordered. The waitress said yes but then I was charged for the cup of soup with the full meal, which I thought was weird (I figured there'd be an upcharge but not pay full price for both). My daughter grabbed the tablet that is at the table and must have bought a game. We took it away from her when she first grabbed it but it already charged us. The server did take that charge off. I'm a big fan of Red Lobster. I have eaten at Red Lobsters all over the country but this branch is AWFUL!. Greasy food, not very clean, just a terrible dining experience. I know good seafood and the product that came out of the kitchen here was the worst ever. Obviously frozen ( i had the shrimp special), swimming in grease and inedible. We left most of it. My husband and I have been enjoying Red Lobster in numerous locations for many years. He loves the snow crab. Today was a huge disappointment. We went to the Red Lobster in Pittsburg, CA for lunch. We arrived at 2:30 (long after lunch time and before dinner time). We were told there would be a 15 minute wait because they were short staffed. Over 45 minutes later when I complained, we were finally seated in a near empty restaurant. The server was nice, but clearly overworked. The hostess was clearing tables rather than greeting guests. The food was ok but really slow. After dinner we both went to the restrooms and came out saying to each other how filthy the bathrooms were. High school bathrooms were cleaner. There were used paper towels and toilet paper all over the floor and the dirt and spider webs were accumulated along all the stalls and walls. It was appalling. I wonder what the kitchen was like??? Red Lobster management should be ashamed. You advertise "Lobsterfest" and then you can't serve your customers in a punctual and clean, healthy way! Shame on you! read more

My wife and I stopped by the Tifton, GA location last Saturday night for a quick bite. She ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer while I ordered a shrimp cocktail and we both had a house salad. The only positive was the cheddar biscuits. Her coconut shrimp were pretty thin and overcooked. My shrimp cocktail was horrible! The shrimp were very slimy and mushy. Red Lobster gets a lot of bad rap but I actually like it. You can't go wrong with receiving four free cheddar cheese garlic biscuits with your meal. That alone earns an extra star. Me and my sister took our disabled father here for Father's Day last month. Our waitress did an excellent job with service. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed our meals. Prices are a bit on the high side but based on my experiences at dining at Red Lobster the portions are normally huge. This seafood chain restaurant is slipping in their quality of food, service and cleanliness. After a long day on the road, I wanted a glass of wine and a non-fast food meal and hoped for a comfortable atmosphere and a good meal. Admittedly it was 1.5 hours before closing on a Sunday in a mostly empty restaurant on a rainy night and I thought all should be fine. I was seated at a poorly cleaned table where my paper menu landed in a water spot so I asked for the table to be wiped again. Ok, start over. Ordered my wine and glass of water and then my meal. Wine arrived, reminded the waitress for my water. Water arrived and waited for my meal. Meal arrived and no silverware. I asked someone walking past my table for silverware - acknowledged, then nothing. Waited longer when my waitress stopped by to check on me - I asked for silverware. More waiting then finally received a plastic fork, knife and spoon. Is this because of COVID? Unclear. Finally get to eat my shrimp bowl; wasn't sure if it was supposed to be hot because by now, it's tepid. I ordered this dish for the shrimp, which there was plenty, and avocado, which there was none. Tasty dish but I missed my avocado and still wondered if this was supposed to be served hot. Oh well, hungry, tired and want to just eat the meal and leave. One of the item was a baked potato we order it with sour cream, cheese, and butter, it only had a load of sour cream. I was sick for two days with diarrhea after eating at this red lobster. I can't say it was food poisoning but very close to it. I never get sick, so this must have packed a lot of bacteria. The Caesar salad tasted fishy, so I think it was the salad. I also had crab legs and shrimp, but I think it was the salad. I would never eat at Red Lobster again anywhere. It was overpriced and unclean. The service was extremely slow, and I'm not sure why. We waited 30 minutes for the entrée even though the restaurant was not busy at all.
