As Randy Jackson would say...."It's a no for me dawg" Pretty terrible. I am all for hole in the wall, family owned restaurants. This one looked like it fit the script but man I was wrong when I walked in. Everyone was super nice and kind but the food was awful and presentation was non existent. My food was bland, no flavor, the biscuits and gravy tasted like nothing but flour and had no seasonings. This is something my Wonderbread white great great grandmother would have made. my white toast was burnt on the bottom which I don't know how you couldn't see that and actually think " hmmm this big girl will eat this no matter what" it baffles me on what runs through peoples heads when it comes to this type of quality of food. unfortunately, I wouldn't even give this to my dog. That's how terrible this food was. The coffee was weaker than my left knee on a rainy day. I apologize for the blunt delivery, but these reviews have got to be written by family members or friends because there's just no way the hype is that real on food that is being served on paper plates with plastic cutlery and blend as ever. read more

Northside cafe is a staple in Tifton Georgia. It is the place for breakfast like your mother made on Saturday mornings. Fresh biscuits, eggs however you choose, and the meat of your choice. FOOD FIND ALERT!!! We drove to Sarasota FL today. We started driving at 5am. At 8, we searched for a breakfast place in Tifton GA. What google found for us was a great little place that is as local as can be. This is a place that would be featured on Diners, Drive-in's and Dives. There's so many great things to say about this place but I don't have enough time to tell you everything. The best way to describe it is if Mel's Diner and Cheers (for those too young google these two TV shows for more info) had a baby, it would be named The Northside Cafe! I'm really not sure where the good reviews are coming from, or maybe we caught them on a bad day, but overall the food was very disappointing and we instantly regretted eating there. We immediately went to the Wal-Mart across the street and got Tums afterwards. Very greasy, heavy, and some things were almost inedible. read more

While in town for work I wanted to grab breakfast and one of the ladies at the office I was working at recommended I try this place out. Upon entering I found the place filled with regulars. It seemed like the waitress knew everyone there. I think the owner of the restaurant was also sitting at one of the tables. I ordered 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties, 2 pancakes and it came out to be $5.30 after tax. Very affordable! I ordered to go and it took around 10 minutes to get my food. The eggs were cooked perfect, the sausage was a little more done than I would like however it was not overcooked. The pancakes were extremely tasty! This place also has a drive through which would be very nice if the weather was bad. Overall I would come back here again. The price and quality of the food was great. read more

THERE IS COUNTRY AND THERE IS COUN-TRAY! KNOW THE DIFFERENCE! This place was a bit too authentic for me because it was very rundown, needed a good scrub and did not have a varied menu. We stopped in for breakfast and I was feeling a bit adventurous until I spoke with the waitress about the breakfast options. Sometimes "Southernspeak" requires its own interpretation and you have to listen very carefully. For example when asked about the cheese options we were told sliced and shredded instead of specific types. We also received a similar response when we asked about the breakfast sausage. I am accustomed to hearing options like turkey sausage, turkey bacon, chicken sausage and reg sausage and bacon. Instead I got smoked sausage, pan sausage and link sausage, (obviously all pork options).. The veggies are non-negotiable when it comes to my omelet. When I ask about veggies, I don't mean peppers and onions and when I specifically asked about spinach and broccoli and was told "Oh no we don;t carry all that stuff". Listen up people, this is a restaurant with no fresh veggies!! I decided to just stick with the glass of water. My husband ordered an omelet, with breakfast potatoes and toast. Everything seemed to be deep fried except the toast. It was bad but he was starving and ate it all. The serving size was actually small so he actually had to order more food when we found another restaurant that could make a veggie omelet.for me. Found this little local spot on Yelp as my husband and I were traveling to Atlanta. As we walked in, we were greeted by the owner, Bubba. Everyone knew everyone by name and had a very homey feeling. Food was great and the prices were amazing! Before long Bubba came up to our table asking where we were from and what brought us here. I told him we found his restaurant on Yelp. I was in Tifton visiting my Mom. She suggested the Northside Cafe'. The food is amazing. They have the best breakfast I've ever had. You can order from the menu or, just tell them what you want.
