Now Don't go to Red Lobster in Sumter expecting to get Recognizes for your serviced, the Mangers there don't know what a Veteran is....Now may I explain: My daughter, her husband and I went there for lunch today. My daughter who served for almost 10 years in the USAF, her husband for 15 plus years in the same. Who both have service connected disabilities, Who have Veterans I.D. cards that they showed them, were Refused the Perks of Red Lobster today. Which weren't that much, But the Idea of being Denied, that They were even Veterans.... was a little much. Red Lobster Management needs to be Educated on how to look at a I.D. and recognizes if it's belongs to a Veteran. Also if they Can't, just Don't participate in Veteran Day. So far I haven't had any issues with this place. They've exceeded my expectations every time I go. Good food, the wait isn't too long, the waitresses always have great attitudes, and the free bread is always fresh. A great place to eat with the whole family. read more

We we're seated but we weren't served for almost 30mins because a waiter left early. Shouldn't let a pregnant customer wait that long for at least something to drink. read more

Party of four this afternoon..... Not one salad ordered was delivered. Refills were hard to cone by... (3 of the party ordering from the bar). We 3 got one alchoholic beverage. Mozerella sticks were cold and had to be sent back. Entrees were like warm. When asked to have the salads removed from the bill server states "the salads are complimentary with the meals and would have to be made to go". Then "I am new and have only been here for three days and I have 4 tables". The parking lot was empty, so I assume he had every table in the house.... Desperately disappointed.... Being new to the area, we love this chain.... Sorry to not be going back. read more

We came here for lunch as soon as they opened at 11am today. The food was great, the staff was friendly but Cindy, our waitress, was the most amazing part. We never had a drink less than half full and we never had to ask for anything, she brought it all to us. Thanks Cindy for a great experience and being so friendly with a smiling face!! Okay so this was my first time ever coming to This Red lobster. The was food amazing but the waiter I got was lacking skills, customer skills and kept forgetting about us. We didn't even get any biscuits. We asked for ketchup and got it like twenty minutes later. We asked for a sweet tea refill & and she said she'd be back, she never came back. So we asked the host if we could get a refill, he came back quick. When our drinks were given, no straws were given. But I guess we'll give it another try. read more

Yes. I know it's Red Lobster and it's a chain. Yes I know chain seafood restaurants aren't trendy but as Red Lobster goes this is by far the freshest and best served Red Lobster I have ever been to. The manager Jeff Mack runs this place very, very well. My food is hot, fresh and priced appropriately. I've been to Red Lobsters for various reasons all over the country and basically 'quit trying' years ago. I recently relocated back to Sumter and gave this one a try. My wife and I had a dinner date here the other night and had a very pleasant experience. The lighting was nice, the building was clean and seemed to be well kept. And the volume, even with a full restaurant, was low enough to have a normal speaking volume conversation with my date. The food was what I would expect from a seafood restaurant in Sumter. I'm not a seafood expert, but I was not disappointed with the six or so different items we tried. The wait time for our food wasn't bad at all, especially considering how full the restaurant was. Our server was very attentive and quick, and made us feel welcome. I even saw the manager walking around ensuring everyone was enjoying their meals. This store is certainly a good example of what a Red Lobster should be. read more

Online Oder . Shrimp trio and fried flounder. Picked up and was broiled flounder. Broccoli instead of baked potato. I guess salad w ranch means no ranch. Very disappointed. I recently went here with my two friends who are from out of town, the service was excellent! Our waitress Jo, was absolutely amazing! She was very prompt and very nice. Our experience was a rocky one. Our first server was BAD. She literally forgot about us and I had to go to the bar to get our drinks refilled. She forgot to put my wifes appetizer order in (soup) and I had to ask her where my salad was. I finally had to speak to the manager and get everything fixed. When the manager was alerted she had to give our table to another waitress as our was nowhere to be found. Our second waitress was OUTSTANDING and she and the Manager J.J. are the ONLY reason we would consider coming back. If I had to rate our experience based on the first waitress they would have 0 stars but after the fumble the manager J.J. fixed everything and we will keep going as long as she is the manager. This is probably one of the best places to eat in Sumter. I ordered the lobster lovers dream and it was amazing. The only thing I had a problem with was the side of Mac and cheese it didn't look appetizing at all. Other than that we were seated pretty quickly had a wonderful waitress, that was even courteous to ask us what kind of high chair we wanted for our little one. We didn't feel rushed and we didn't have a waitress coming to our table every five minutes asking how was the food, which is great. read more

Yeah, I know, it's Red Lobster, but we are limited in our dining options in this area. They've tried over the years to rebrand but simply put it is a chain restaurant with mediocre menu options with a wide range of prices to suit date night or a business lunch or even family night. The hostess started us off right by letting my son get up close to a lobster and offered to let him touch it, and I appreciated her thoughtfulness. Our server, however, was nice but very slow and a little forgetful, and when the $24 entree I decided to splurge on (this isn't often) arrived with a medium length, curly black hair wrapped around several shrimps my appetite withered. I ate some of what was on the other side of my dish away from the hair, and the entree was removed from our bill, but ugh. What a cliche, right? Disappointed doesn't begin to describe it. A chef came out to apologize but no manager ever came to apologize. I appreciated that the poorly executed entree I barely touched was not on our bill but I felt more could have been done, especially with how visibly grossed out I was. Overpriced horrible "seafood" for people who don't know what good, fresh fish and seafood is supposed to taste like.

Don't bother. My husband and I ordered and paid online a couple of weeks ago, and first, we waited about another 10 minutes at least for our food, after the estimated time, which was no big deal and to be expected. The girl finally came out, and brought us the food, checked everything against the receipt, said everything was there, we left, for almost to our car, and she comes running out behind us asking if we paid for our food, so I gave her the receipt showing that we had already paid for everything, after she already had the receipt checking the food to make sure everything's there. We let that go, it was over and done with, get home, which is about a 20-30 minute drive, and realize half of the food isn't actually there, one of the plates we ordered was surf n turf, that was ordered with a 12oz NY Strip, we get home, and have a small sirloin, that was actually smaller then the baked potato, and so tough that the dog even struggled to eat it, and the lobster wasn't even included. All that was in the plate was that steak and a potato. The Caesar salads were iceberg lettuce that wasn't even cut, it was one huge chunk, and a little cheese on top. We called to speak to the manager about it, she did apologize, and offer to send a $30 gift card to cover the meal that was screwed up, but, here we are a couple of weeks later, and still nothing. I definitely won't be visiting again, not worth the money. read more

Oh why must I settle for Red Lobster? Sometimes I have a seafood craving and this seems to be my only option. When it comes to lobster, crab legs and shrimp, seems like you pay a lot for a little. The only reason we go is because my wife is addicted to the cheesy biscuits. Nowadays I stick to the fish special, specifically a blackened whitefish. It is usually very good and saves me a few bucks as opposed to the signature platters. Wife gets something with chicken. Service has always been great. read more

My husband and I went to this restaurant March 6,2015 for our 45th anniversary dinner. We were told the wait was about 15 minutes. After 30-35 minutes during which we observed 3 couples who came in after us be seated we asked the hostess if they had forgotten about us. She asked our name and then said you were already called. We had not been called and our buzzer had not gone off! We left and when arriving home I called and talked to the manager on duty. She informed me she had daily problems with the staff and said to make it up to us was sending a free meal voucher in the mail the following week. It has now been three weeks and nothing. I guess I know who trained the untruthful hostesses. Also, as we were leaving the restaurant they called out Happy Anniversary in a less than pleasant tone. read more

my family i decided to have dinner at on 4-28-2013. we have been to this particular red lobster to many times to count. once we were seated we waited for our waiter after about 10 mins a waiter came over and said he would take our beverage order. and he was not our waiter. about 15 mins went by and a waiter came out and said he was our waiter. he takes our beverage order. 15min goes by no beverages. call him over and ask for our food to go. 5mins later a manager came over and appologize for the inconvince,she get us out our food right away. 15 to 20 min go by no drinks no food and our waiter is waiting on his other table act as if we wasnt there! we decide its time to go! on the way out the staff was saying hope u enjoyed i said we didnt get anything to eat or drink! they were stunn!! they couldnt believe it. another manager came out and talk with my husband..i had enough i walk out. to my a long story short the two young men that was seating and working the front,the waiter that saw us sitting there, and the 2 manager were on point! we ended up getting our carryout order and drinks for free. plus a gift certificate. if i hadnt been there before i wouldnt ever dine ther again. cant wait to get back!! the keels, s.c read more
